"River, the amount of presents is a little ridiculous." Liz chuckles
"It is not." She says, "It's her first Christmas and I told you I would spoil her, okay? I wasn't lying."
"I think she might've spent our rent payment on everything." Dakota jokes
River squints, "You spent more than I did. I just got more stuff."
"Yeah, she doesn't need car yet, Dakota. She can barely stand." Liz says
"She will." He shrugs, "As soon as she walks, I'm teaching her to drive."
"Absolutely not."
"Why not?"
"Because no." Liz says setting another gift down by the tree. She smiles down at Maeve, "Hi, honey."
"Dude, she's gonna need to know how. It's better if she knows now. Imagine when she can actually take the test. She'll be a fucking F1 driver by then.
"The last thing that I need is for you to teach her how to drive."
"Come on, it'll be- holy shit!" He exclaims
"What?" Liz says turning toward him. She looks down and her eyes widen, "Oh my god. Connie, she's standing on her own!"
"What?" He calls out rushing into the living room as Liz kneels down
"Come on." Liz says softly as River claps. Maeve waves her hands around as Liz smiles, "Come on."
"Come on, sweetheart." Conrad says. Liz gasps as she takes a small step forward, "There you go."
"Come on, baby." Liz claps as Dakota and River call out words of encouragement. Maeve smiles wide as she takes her steps towards Liz. Liz's smile widens as Maeve steps closer and closer until she lands in her arms, "Yay! Good job, honey."
Conrad leans down and presses a kiss to Maeve's head. Dakota claps, "She's ready to start driving, dude."
"No!"
"Come on!"

"You know what I think?" Liz calls out
Conrad looks over at her from their bed, "What?"
"River and I were talking about it." Liz says entering the room, "We could start planning the wedding."
His brows raise, "You think so?"
"Yeah." She shrugs, "Maeve's walking now and I think we can finally find some time to plan it. River said new year means no procrastination."
"Okay." Conrad nods
"Okay?" Liz says and he hums in agreement, "Just like that?"
"Yeah. Just like that. Did you think I was gonna back out or something?"
"No." She says climbing into the bed, "I don't know. For some reason, I thought you'd put up more of a fight."
Conrad smiles softly, "I've gone my entire life wanting to be with you. I don't wanna waste another second."
Liz's face softens as she looks over at him. Her heart flutters in her chest. Conrad's eyes follow her as she leans over and kisses him. His hand comes up and cups her jaw. Liz pulls away for a split second, but only to climb in Conrad's lap. His hand glides down and wraps around her wrist.
"You're still wearing it." Conrad says
Liz looks down as he runs his thumb over the butterfly charm on her wrist. She smiles, "Of course, I am. You gave it to me."
"I didn't think you'd still wear it." He says. She nods allowing some of her hair to fall along her face. Conrad's free hand comes up and pushes it behind her ear. His thumb rubs her cheekbone, "I love you."
"I love you more." She says before he leans forward and kisses her again. Liz's arms wrap around his neck and his around her waist. His hands travel down and squeeze her thighs earning a soft gasp from her. Conrad takes the opportunity to place soft kisses on her cheek that travel down to her neck.
Liz's hands snake up toward his hair and tug softly. She pulls his head back gently and kisses him again. Conrad's arms tighten around her waist before he flips them. He slots himself between her legs and deepens the kiss.

"Okay." River says, "So, I think I have your guys' guest list sorted out. Are you sure that's all?"
Liz furrows her brows, "River, how many people do you think I know?"
"I'm just saying. There's like 25 people on here and 10 of them are family. And with Dakota, Steven, and Jeremiah being groomsmen and me the maid of honor, that's like half of the family already gone."
"Again, we don't know that many people." Liz laughed
"Okay, fine." River says, "Well, I figured out the catering and have some people who are willing to help with decorating. You guys are still having it at the summer house, right?"
"Yeah." Liz shakes her head, "I still don't get how you've been able to do all of this."
"Uh, because my best friend's getting married?" She exclaims, "I've been waiting literal years for something like this. This is literally gonna be the best day of your life."
"We really do appreciate everything you're doing, River. It means a lot. Especially to me."
"Don't get all sappy on me, Liz. You're gonna make me cry." River whines making Liz chuckle
"I'm serious though. With Maeve and the both of us working, there's no way we could've made enough time to get married this summer. We probably would've been engaged for another two years before we actually planned the wedding."
"Well, that's what I'm here for." River says, "Duh."
Liz smiles, "Right, duh."
"Okay, so, I'm gonna send the invites out soon. I also wanted to make sure that you actually wanted some people there, a.k.a, Belly."
"Uh, yeah, we want her there."
River notices her hesitancy, "Are you sure?"
"She's- invited. Whether she'll show up, I don't know." Liz sighs, "I've grown up with her and despite what happened, a part of me will feel bad if I don't at least invite her."
"And your parents?"
"Complicated. I'll try to talk to them, but as far as I'm concerned, they want nothing to do with me, so, I have no idea."
"Okay, well, there's still a little bit of time. I'll send out the invites we have now and just see where everything else goes."
"Yeah, thanks."
"Listen, don't stress about your parents' or Belly, okay? If they come, they come. If not, you'll get married and have a shit ton of fun without them."
"You sound like Dakota." Liz smiles
"He makes sense sometimes."
Liz chuckles, "Yeah."
"Okay, I gotta go, but I'll call you soon, okay? Love you."
"Love you, too."

"Uh, Liz, she's keeps saying "nan", what is that?" Agnes calls out
Liz smiles and shakes her head, "She wants a banana."
"Got it."
Conrad handed a banana to Agnes as he entered the kitchen. Liz darted from one side to the other. He leaned on the counter, "You're stressing."
Liz turned with a box of cookies in her hand, "What?"
"You need to relax." He says taking the box from her and setting it on the counter
"I know." Liz sighs, "But it's her first birthday. I want it to be perfect."
"It's already perfect. She's having fun." He says, "What's there to stress about?"
"It's her first birthday, Connie." Liz stresses, "She deserves all of what she wants and I want to make sure everything is perfect even if she won't remember it."
Conrad steps closer and cups her face before kissing her forehead. Liz lets out a deep sigh, "Everything is fine, she's having fun, and you don't have to stress about it. We're gonna be doing these every year and it'll mean just as much as it does now." He looks down at her, "Okay?"
Liz nods as she stares up at him, "Okay."
He tucks her hair behind her ear and kisses her forehead again.
