"Adrian."

The blonde turns from her place in her seat, "Oh, hey, Mason."

"Hey." He says, "So, Liam called me to check on Lydia. He's says she's here at the school. Have you seen her?"

"Uh, no, but I can help you look for her." She says packing up her things

"Cool, thanks."

"All good?" Derek asks as Liam pulls on his cuffs, "Okay. Now, I brought something to help you. This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful supernatural talisman. We use it to teach Betas how to control themselves on a full moon."

He then hands the talisman to Liam who stares down at it. Luisa, Anna, and Stiles furrow their brows in confusion. Stiles turns to Derek who raises his brows. Stiles straightens up, "Yes. It's powerful."

Liam looks up at them. Luisa smiles from across from him, "Very powerful."

Mason and Adrian enter a classroom. Adrian looks around, "Lydia?"

They step back into the hallway once realizing the classroom was empty. They then walk over toward the stairs. Mason reaches down at picks up a phone realizing it was Lydia's, "No wonder she's not answering."

"Why is it just sitting here?" Adrian asks picking up the jacket that was lying on the stairs, "Doesn't make any sense."

"What the hell?"

"What?" Adrian mutters looking down at the phone. Her brows furrow at the blurry picture of a creature.

The two look up slowly as a shadow casts over them. Mason's eyes widen at the huge creature standing before them.

"Oh shit."

Adrian comes to from a shake to her shoulders. She groans lightly as someone kneels in front of her, "Hey, wake up."

Adrian blinks harshly before squinting, "Lydia?"

"Yeah. Are you okay?"

"I think so." She mutters as Lydia moves beside her.

Lydia taps Mason's cheek and the boy jumps awake, "Are you okay?"

"My head..." He groans

"Yeah, it's probably gonna hurt a lot..."

"There was this guy. Huge- really huge. He had a-a skull on his face."

"Yeah, I know. I saw it, too."

"My phone's gone." Adrian says patting her pockets

"Yeah, I think that's the point." Lydia sighs

"Okay, well, why? What's he gonna do to us?"

"I don't know, but it definitely doesn't want us to leave."

"Why do you keep saying "it?"" Adrian asks as they stand

The three look around as they hear growling. Mason looks around the corner, "What is that thing?"

Lydia steps in front of him, "Not human."

"Liam, you with me?" Derek tries. It had only been a little while since the sun had begun to set and Liam's control was slipping fast, "We have a mantra that we use. You repeat it. You focus on the words. It's like meditating. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you."

"Okay." Liam breathes heavily, "Okay, okay. What are the words?"

"Okay, look at the triskelion." Derek starts, "See the symbol? I have a tattoo on my back, it's the same thing. Each spiral means something."

"Alpha, Beta, Omega..." Stiles says

"It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another. Betas can become Alphas."

"Alphas can become Betas."

"Can Alphas become Omegas?" Liam asks

Derek nods, "All you have to do is say the three words and with each one, you tell yourself you're getting calmer, more in control. Go ahead."

"Alpha, Beta-"

"Slower."

Liam takes a deep breath, "Alpha... Beta... Omega... Ugh! Alpha... Beta... Omega..."

"Good. Say it again. Remember, every time you say the words, you're getting calmer."

"Alpha. Beta." Liam grunts, "Omega..."

"Say it again."

Stiles sits up as Liam growls, "Derek, I don't think the powerful talisman-of-self-control is working."

Anna quickly switches places with Luisa. Pushing her closer towards the front of the van. Liam growls again as Derek keeps his eyes on him, "Liam, say it again!"

Liam jumps forward in his seat growling. Braeden focuses on keeping the van straight as it rocks. Derek yells out again, "Liam!"

"Liam!" Stiles yells. Liam grunts as he pulls on his cuffs. Luisa and Stiles quickly jump back as his hand breaks free. Derek wastes no time in grabbing his arm.

"Derek?" Ariane calls out

"I think we're gonna need to go a little faster." Stiles yells

"Keep going!"

When Liam's other arm breaks free, Anna jumps forward to hold him back.

"Liam! Liam!" Stiles yells as he attempts to help Anna and Derek

"We're almost there!" Braeden yells

"Keep focus!" Derek says

"Derek, I don't think "Alpha, Beta, Omega" is resonating with him." Anna yells

"You know any other mantras?" He snaps

"I do." Stiles says before turning to Liam, "Liam! Liam! What three things cannot be long hidden?" His question is ignored as Liam continues clawing at Derek. Stiles tries again, "Liam! Liam, look at me. What three things cannot long be hidden? What three things?"

"Sun... the moon... the truth." Liam breathes

"That's it. Say it again."

"The sun, the moon, the truth." He says slower. He pulls his hand away from Derek as he settles in his seat.

"Derek?" Ariane calls out

"We're okay."

"Sun, moon, and the truth." Liam mutters

Anna sits back in her seat beside Derek as Liam looks up at them. The others watch outside the window as they pull up to the church. Liam scoffs, "I can't believe I did it. For a minute there, I thought I was gonna tear you guys apart."

Luisa chuckles awkwardly as Stiles nods, "Yeah, that would have made for an awkward ride home, so thanks."

"You think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglesia?" Derek asks

Liam brings his hand up and flicks out his claws. Stiles tilts his head, "All right. We might actually be able to do this."

Derek nods before standing up and opening the door. As soon as it swings open, he's yanked out by a berserker. The creature picks him up and slams him on rocks before hitting his chest repeatedly. It then flicks a claw out and stabs him in his chest.

Ariane jumps out and immediately fires, causing a slight distraction. The others hop out as the berserker runs off. Derek slides off the rock as Ariane runs and crouches in front of him. His breathing is choppy as he holds his hand to his chest.

"How bad is it?" Peter asks

"I'm fine! I'm fine." Derek says quickly, "Just get to Scott. Just find him. We'll be right behind you. Go." The group hesitates making him yell out again, "Go!"

Stiles and Luisa wait behind as the others run off into the church. Derek looks up at Stiles, "Hey... Hey, save him."

Stiles nods as Luisa steps forward, "Ariane-"

"It's fine." She says shakily before looking up to her sister, "It's fine. Just go. Hurry."

"Come on." Stiles says grabbing her arm and running with her into the church

Ariane turns back to Derek. He laughs weakly, "Lydia was right."
