{provenance}

The three of them are at a bar, and like always Ana has a glass of whiskey, but that was long forgotten, when Dean and Ana decided to go and have some 'fun'. Which resulted in them going to the bathroom and having their fun in a bathroom stall, which luckily no one was in the bathroom.

Sam is sitting at a table strewn with papers and sighs as this isn't the first time that Dean and Ana had snuck off, at least when he is at the bar. After a couple minutes the lovesick couple comes back from the bathroom, with giddy grins on their faces.

"While you two were... gone. I think I found something." Sam says to his brother as Ana takes a swing of her whiskey. "Mark and Ann Telesca of New Paltz, New York were both found dead in their own house, from a few days ago. Throats were slit. There were no prints, no murder weapons, nothing..."

Dean is distracted like per usual, and what caught his attention is Ana. "Dean! No, prints, no murder weapons, all doors and windows locked from the inside."

"Could just be a golden variety murder you know, not our department." Dean says drinking his beer.

"No. Dad says different." Sam says.

"What do you mean?" Dean and Ana say in unison as they do their fist-bump.

"Dad noted three murders in the same area of upstate New York. First one here in 1912, second one right here in 1945, and the third in 1970, the same MO as the Telescas. Their throats were slit, doors were locked from the inside. Now, so much time had passed between murders that nobody checked the pattern except Dad. He kept his eyes peeled for another one." Sam says as he was pointing out the years from the journal.

"And now we got one. Alright, I'm with ya. It's worth checking out. We can't pick this up, till first thing though, right?" Dean asks.

"Yeah." Sam says.

"Good." Dean says.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Dean is asleep slouched in the passenger seat with Ana tightly in his arms, they both have their sunglasses on. Ana is more so more hung over than Dean is. Ana's mouth is slightly parted open. Sam walks around the car, leans in and honks the horn. Both Dean and Ana jump so high, Sam sits in the driver's seat and laughs.

"That is so not cool." Ana adjusts her sunglasses and mumbles, as Dean's grip on Ana only tightened.

"I just swept the Telescas with EMF. It's clean, and last night, while you and Ana... were... well... out."

"Good times." Dean mumbles smirking at the half asleep girl in his arms.

"I checked the history of the house. Nothing strange about the Telescas." Sam says.

"Alright, so if it's not the people and it's not the house, then maybe it's the contents. Cursed object or something." Dean says, as Ana's head goes in deeper in Dean's neck.

"The house is clean." Sam says to his brother, as Dean's arm continues to rub up and down Ana's back like he was doing before he fell asleep.

"Yeah, I know, you said that." Ana mumbles half asleep.

"No, I mean it's empty. No furniture, nothing." Sam says

"Where is all their crap?" Ana grumbles to the youngest Winchester.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them wander around an auction house, looking out of place as per usual. Ana is wearing a Harry Potter hoodie with a flannel underneath, and then with ripped jeans and a pair of leggings underneath and then a pair of black converses for shoes.

Dean takes finger food from a nearby tray. One man especially watches them pass them excuses himself from his companion and moves towards the three of them. "Consignment auctions, estate sales. Looks like a garage sale for Wasps if you ask me." Dean says as he takes more food from a trap on a table as the man moves up behind them.

"Can I help you three?" The man says as Dean looks him up and down and then puts more food in his mouth.

"We'd like some champagne please." Dean says in a posh voice.

"He's not a waiter." Sam says sharply to Dean, as Dean cocks an eyebrow. Sam holds his hand out to the man. "I'm Sam Connors." The man just looks at him, not moving. Sam moves the hand he's holding out to point at Dean and Ana. "This is my brother, Dean and his girlfriend, Ana. We're art dealers with Connors Limited."

"You... are... art dealers." The man says.

"That's right." Sam says.

"I'm Daniel Blake, this is my auction house. Now gentlemen and girl, this is a private showing, and I don't remember seeing your names on my guest list."

"We're their chuckles, you just need to take another look." Dean says as a waiter goes past with drinks on a tray. Both Dean and Ana take a glass of champagne. "Oh, finally." Dean says as him and Ana clink their glasses. Dean turns back to Daniel Blake, and sniffs the glass, raises his eyebrows, then turns and walks away. Sam follows the two hastily shooting both Dean and Ana dirty looks.

"Cheers." Sam says to Daniel Blake, as the three of them check out the items for the auction and are drawn to the painting of the family.

"Fine example of American Primitive wouldn't you say?" A woman's voice was heard as the three of them turn to see a sleek, classy, and extremely good-looking young woman in a black dress coming down a spiral staircase.

The three of them stare at her as she turns her back while taking the final part of the stairs. Sam turns back to look at the painting again as Ana slaps Sam on the back as the youngest Winchester tries not to stare.

"Well, I'd say it's more Grant Wood than Grandma Moses. But you knew that, you just wanted to see if I did." Sam says as Ana snickers under her breath.

"Guilty, and clumsy. I apologize; I'm Sarah Blake." The woman says as Ana has a small smile on her face.

Dean continues to stuff his face with passing trays as Ana keeps drinking some champagne from the passing trays also. "Dean. Ana. Can we get you some more mini-quiche, and champagne?"

"I'm good, thanks." Dean says chewing.

"So, can I help you with something?" Sarah asks Sam.

"Yeah, actually. What can you tell me about the Telesca estate?" Sam asks the woman.

"The whole thing's pretty grisly if you ask me, selling your things this soon. But Dad's right about one thing, sensationalism brings out the crowds. Even the rich ones." Sarah says.

"Is it possible to see the provenances?" Sam asks as Daniel Blake comes up behind them again.

"I'm afraid there isn't any chance of that." Blake says.

"Why that?" Ana asks.

"You three are not on the guest list. And I think it's time for you three to leave." Blake says.

"Well, we don't have to be told twice." Dean says putting his posh voice back on again.

"Apparently, you do." Blake says.

"Okay. It's alright. We don't want any trouble. We'll go." Sam says as Dean raises his eyebrows and walks off, with Ana following him. Sam and Sarah exchange a long look before he follows the couple.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them approach a room with Dean holding the room key. "Grant Wood, Grandma Moses?" Dean asks.

"Art history my friend. It's good for meeting girls, trust me." Ana says as Dean turns to give her a look.

"Okay, I know you know history but art history. That's a first." Dean says as Ana just shrugs her shoulders.

"What? Leave me alone." Ana grumbles as she rubs her head. "God, I had too much champagne. I don't know what is worse, champagne or whiskey?"

"In your case, Ana. I think both." Sam pipes up into the conversation.

The three of them enter the motel room, as Sam closes the door. The doors do not disturb door hanger is a silver outline of John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever. Disco music accompanies the room, as the room is heavily inspired by '70 disco music.

"Huh." The brothers say in unison, as the three of them move into the room, dumping their bags on the bed.

"What was... providence?" Dean asks.

"Prov-e-nance. It's a certificate of origin, like a biography. You know we can use them to check the history of the pieces, see if any of them have a freaky past." Ana explains to her boyfriend. Course she would know that.

"Huh. Well, we're not getting anything out of chuckles, but Sarah." Dean says as he snaps his fingers at Sam, smirking.

"Yeah, maybe you can get her to write it all down on a cocktail napkin." Sam says smirking at his brothers.

"Not me." Dean says laughing.

"No, no, no, pickups are your thing Dean." Sam says to his older brother.

"It wasn't my butt that she was checking out." Dean says to his brother as he has his arms around Ana keeping her close on his lap, the brothers exchange a look.

"In other words, you want me to use her to get information." Sam says as Dean presses a lingering kiss onto Ana's head.

"Sometimes you gotta take one for the team. Call her." Dean says as his arms are tightly around Ana's body.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Dean is sharpening his blade on a whetstone, as Ana's head is on Dean's lap, which he didn't mind. Because when he'd take a break with his hands, he'd brush his hand through Ana's red hair. He'd also occasionally press a kiss to her forehead. While Sam was gone with his date with Sarah, Ana and Dean got bored, so she was reading him a Harry Potter book. Despite Dean being confused he actually liked hearing her read the book to him.

Sam is looking through some of the papers that Sarah had given him. "So, she just handed the providences over to you." Dean says completely mispronouncing the word 'provenances'.

"Provenances." Both Sam and Ana say in unison as Ana went back to reading her Harry Potter book that she was reading to Dean earlier.

"We went back to her place; I got a copy of the papers." Sam says.

"And?" Dean asks.

"And nothing. That's it. I left." Sam says as Ana couldn't help but smirk at the conversation.

"You didn't have toc on her or do any... special favors or anything like that?" Dean asks, as a smirk appears on Ana's face.

"Dean, would you get your mind out of the gutter, please?" Sam asks.

"You know when this whole thing's done, we could stick around for a little bit." Dean says laughing a little.

"Why?" Sam asks.

"So, you could take her out again. It's obvious you're into her, even I could see that. Right Annie?" Dean asks Ana as he brushes a hand through her red hair.

"Mhm." Ana replies as she was half listening to the conversation between the brothers.

"Hey, I think I've got something here." Sam says as Dean pats Ana's shoulders, as she narrowed her eyes slightly as she sat up on the bed, as Dean moved over to his brother, as Sam hands him the papers.

"Portrait of Isaiah Merchant's family, painted 1910." Dean says reading the paper.

"Now compare the names of the owners with Dad's journal." Sam says, as Dean is checking against the journal.

"First purchased in 1912, Peter Simms. Peter Simms murdered 1912. Same thing in 1945. Oh, same thing in 1970." Dean says.

"Then stored, until it was donated to a charity auction last month. Where the Telescas bought it. So, what do you think, it's haunted? Or cursed?" Sam says.

"Either way, it's toast." Dean says getting up.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Dean leaps and easily scales the meters high metal gates and sprints into a mist with Ana following him. "Come on!" The couple says as Sam follows. Sam is wearing gloves, and he disarms the security alarm.

"Go ahead." Sam says as Ana is also wearing gloves, picks the lock. The three of them shine their flashlights around inside, quickly searching for the painting.

Dean spies in upstairs and they sprint up the spiral staircase. Holding his flashlight in his mouth, Dean flicks his switchblade and cuts the painting from its frame. They're in and out within a couple minutes.

The painting lies in the dirt, Sam is holding his flashlight, as Ana readies the matches. "God, that's an ugly ass thing. If you ask me, we are doing the art world a favor." Ana says as she drops the match, and the painting ignites in flames.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are back in the motel. Dean is rushing in from the bathroom. "We got a problem -- I can't find my wallet." Sam says as Ana was packing her and Dean's stuff in their duffel, Sam was packing his own stuff.

"That's my problem, how?" Sam asks.

"'Cause I think I dropped it in the warehouse last night." Dean says as Sam's back was towards Ana, as she was grinning ear-to-ear, as this was only a set-up of Dean's plan. Dean's wallet is actually in Ana's pocket, that he had purposely put in there, to make it think that he had lost it.

"You're kidding, right?" Sam asks horrified, as Ana turned around to keep a laugh from coming out of her mouth.

"No. It's got my prints, my ID, well my fake ID anyway. We gotta get it before someone else finds it. Come on." Dean says.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them hurry around the auction house looking everywhere for Dean's wallet that is actually in Ana's hoodie pocket. "How'd you lose your wallet, Dean?" Sam asks as Dean throws his hands in the air and keeps looking.

Sarah walks in and sees the three of them. "Hey, guys!" Sarah greets smiling as the three of them spin around, trying to act cool.

"Hey, Sarah." Ana greets with a bright smile on her face.

"Ana, what are you guys doing here?" Sarah asks the three of them.

"Ahh, we... we are leaving town and, you know, we came to say goodbye." Sam says as Dean nonchalantly dug his hand into Ana's hoodie pocket to grab his wallet. He held his hands behind his back pretending that he isn't holding his wallet in his hand.

"What are you talking about, Sam, we're sticking around for at least another day or two." Dean says as Sam looks at Dean confused by what his brother is saying.

Dean moved his hands as he opened his wallet and held up a $20 dollar bill to his brother. "Oh, Sam. By the way. I'm gonna go ahead and give you that $20 I owe you." Dean says to his brother, before he looked at Sarah. "I always forget, you know."

Sam looks at his brother, disbelieving as Ana let out a small giggle. "There you go." Dean says as he holds out the dollar bill to his brother. Sam snatches the cash from Dean as he is glaring at his older brother.

"Well, I'll leave you two crazy kids alone. I gotta go do something... somewhere." Dean says as he leaves quickly as he snakes an arm around Ana.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are in the Impala, as Ana is taking a long drink from her Dr. Pepper as per usual. This time she got it from a convience store. (I know I mispronounced the word; I don't care. Leave it alone, thanks).

"I don't understand, Dean, we burned the damn thing." Sam says confused.

"Yeah, thank you Captain Obvious. Alright, we just need to figure out another way to get rid of it. Any ideas?" Dean asks.

"Okay, alright. Well, um, in almost all the lore about haunting paintings it's always the paintings subject those haunts 'em." Dean says as Ana gives her boyfriend a look.

"You got that from me." Ana quirks to her boyfriend, as Dean looks at her through the rear mirror.

"No one asked your opinion, Annie." Dean grumbles as Ana only smirked at her boyfriend in response. "So, we just need to figure out everything there is to know about that creepy-ass family and that creepy-ass painting. What were their names again?"

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are at a second-hand book shop. "You said the Isaiah Merchant family, right?"

"Yeah, that's right." Ana says as Dean approaches as he smiles as he is flicking through an old book with pictures of guns.

The proprietor lays a huge book of newspaper clippings on the table. "I dug up every scrap of local history I could find. So, are you guys' crime buffs?"

"Yeah, why'd you ask?" Ana says.

"Well..." The proprietor points to a side article it reads 'father slaughters family, kills himself'.

"Yeah, that sounds about right." Ana says.

"The whole family was killed?" Sam asks.

"It seems this Isaiah, he slits his kids' throats, then his wife, then himself. Now he was a barber by trade. Used a straight razor." The proprietor says.

"Why'd he, do it?" Sam asks.

"People who knew him describe Isaiah as having a stern and harsh temperament. Controlled his family with an iron fist. Wife, uh, two sons, adopted daughter. There were whispers that the wife was gonna take the kids and leave'. Which of course you know in that day and age, um...so instead, old man Isaiah, well he gave them all a shave."

"Does it say what happened to the bodies?" Ana asks.

"Just that they were all cremated." The proprietor says.

"Anything else?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, actually I found a picture of the family. It's right here...somewhere. Right -- here it is."

It is the picture of the painting. "Hey, could we get a copy of this, please?" Ana asks.

"Sure." The proprietor says.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are in the motel room, the brothers are sitting at the table, and Ana is laying on her stomach reading her Harry Potter book.

"I'm telling you man, I'm sure of it. The painting at the auction house, Dad is looking down. Painting here, Dad's looking out. The painting has changed, Dean." Sam says.

"Alright, so you think Daddy dearest is trapped in the painting and is handing out Columbian neckties like he did with his family?" Dean asks.

"Well, yeah, it seems like it. But if his bones are already dusted then how are we gonna stop him?" Sam asks.

"Alright, well if Isaiah's position changed then maybe some other thing in the painting changed as well. You know, it could give us some clues." Dean says.

"What, like a Da Vinci Code deal?" Sam asks his older brother.

Dean gives Sam a blank look. "I don't...know, uh. I'm still waiting for the movie on that one. Anyway, we gotta get back in and see that painting." Dean rises and moves across to the bed, throwing himself onto his back and wrapping his arms around Ana and bringing her into his arms. "Which is a good thing 'cause you can get some more time with to crush on your girlfriend."

"Dude. Enough already." Sam says.

"What?" Dean asks.

"What? Ever since we got here, you been trying to pimp me out to Sarah. Just back off, alright?" Sam says to his brother.

"Well, you like her, don't you?" Dean ask as Sam raises his arms and eyes to the ceiling. "Alright, you like her, she likes you, you're both consenting adults." Dean says.

"What's the point, Dean? We'll just leave. We always leave." Sam says frustrated by his brother.

"Well, I'm not talking about marriage, Sam." Dean says.

"You know, I don't get it. What do you care if I hook up?" Sam asks agitated.

"'Cause then maybe you wouldn't be so cranky all the time." Dean says more calmly.

Sam stares at Dean then huffs out a breath and looks away. "You know, seriously Sam, this isn't about just hooking up, okay? I mean, I, I think that this Sarah girl could be good for you." Dean says as Sam sighs and scratches his head. "And... I don't mean any disrespect but I'm sure this is about Jessica, right? Now, I don't know what it's like to lose somebody like that, but I would think that she would want you to be happy." Sam is quiet and listening now, with tears in his eyes. "God, forbid have fun once in a while. Wouldn't she?"

"Yeah, I know she would." Sam says softly as he gives a half smile then sighs heavily. "Yeah, you're right. Part of this is about Jessica, but not the main part."

"What's it about?" Dean asks as Sam doesn't answer. "Yeah, alright." Dean says as he lies back down with his arms around Ana as her back is on his chest. She is too engrossed in her book to really even care what is going on around her. "Well, we still gotta see that painting, which means you still gotta call Sarah, so..."

Sam picks up the phone, clearing his throat. Dean shakes his head and closes his eyes. His arms are resting on Ana's stomach. "Sarah, hey, it's Sam." Sam says awkwardly as there is a pause. "Hey, hi." There is another pause. "Good. Good, yeah. Um, what about you?"

Dean opens one eye slightly watching his brother. "Yeah good, good, really good." Dean whispers across the room. "Smooth."

"So, ah, so listen. Me, my brother and Ana, we're uh, thinking that maybe we'd like to come back in and look at the painting again. I..." Sam says as Dean shakes his head once more and closes his eyes. "I think maybe we are interested in buying." Sam says as there is a pause. "What?!" At Sam's tone, both Ana and Dean snap their heads at Sam. "Who'd you sell it to?" Sam says standing up, as does Dean and Ana. "Sarah, I need an address right now." Sam says urgently.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them practically jump out of the car as Sarah appears from the car waiting on the driveway. "Sam, what's happening." Sarah asks.

Sam runs past her. "I told you; you shouldn't have come." Sam says as Ana starts banging on the door.

"Anyone home?" Ana says as she starts picking the lock after a moment.

"What are you guys, burglars?" Sarah asks.

"I wish it were that simple. Look you really should wait in the car. It's for your own good." Sam says as Ana gets the door open as the brothers follow her inside.

"Evelyn?" Sarah asks as she runs in after the Winchester brothers and Ana.

"Evelyn." Ana says as the four of them enter the living room. Evelyn sits half turned away from them. The painting has changed as Isaiah now looks at his daughter rather than straight forward.

"Evelyn? It's Sarah Blake. Are you alright?" Sarah asks as she reaches to touch Evelyn's shoulder.

"Sarah don't. Sarah!" Ana says urgently to Sarah as Evelyn's head tips back, exposing that her slashed throat. Sarah screamed which resulting in Ana jumping. Sam puts his arm around her and shepherds her out of the room.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are in the motel room, as Dean sits at the bar with Ana's laptop, Ana is next to him as they are talking, Sam is pacing. Then there is a knock on the door, and Sam opens it as Sarah storms past him.

"Hey, you alright?" Sam asks.

"No, actually. I just lied to the cops and told them, that I went to Evelyn's alone, and found her like that." Sarah says as Dean smirks as Ana nudges him as Sam looks relieved.

"Thank you." Sam replies.

"Don't thank me. I'm about to call them right back if you don't tell me what the hell's going on. Who's killing these people?" Sarah says as Sam looks at Ana who raises her eyebrows, Ana then looks at Dean who did the same as Ana.

"It's a what." Ana says.

"What does that mean?" Sarah asks.

Sam sighs at Sarah. "Sarah, you saw that painting move." He says.

"No...no, I was....I was seeing things. It's impossible." Sarah says getting agitated.

"Yeah, well, welcome to our world. Where we see weird shit every day." Ana says.

"Sarah, I know this sounds crazy, but we think that the painting is haunted." Sam says.

"You're joking." Sarah sniggers but with tears in her eyes. She looks at all three of them who just stare at her. "You're not joking. God, the guys I go out with."

"Sarah, think about it. Evelyn, the Telesca's. They both had the painting. And there had been others before that. Wherever this thing goes, people die. And we're just trying to stop it, and that's the truth."

Sarah takes a deep breath. "Then I guess, you'd better show me. I'm coming with you."

Ana immediately stands up from her seat at the bar. "What? No. Sarah, no, you should just go home. This stuff can get dangerous, and we don't want you to get hurt." Ana says before Sam could say anything as he pointed a hand at Ana nodding his head.

"Look, you guys are probably crazy, but if you're right about this? Well, me and my dad sold that painting that mighta got these people killed. Look, I'm not saying I'm not scared, because I am scared as shit, but...I'm not going to run and hide either." Sarah explains as she strides to the door, before she turns back to the three of them. "So, are we going or what?" She says as she walks out.

"Dean? Ana?" Sam asks as he looks across to where Dean and Ana is sitting. They both point out the door after Sarah.

"Marry that girl." They both say in unison as they do their fist-bump.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The Winchester brothers, Ana and now Sarah are at Evelyn's house as Ana is picking the lock. "Ahhh, isn't this a crime scene?"

"You've already lied to the cops. What's another infraction?" Ana asks as once inside Sam lifts the painting from the wall and the four of them examine it.

"Aren't you worried that it's...gonna kill us?" Sarah asks.

Dean is comparing the picture in the book with the painting. "Sam, Ana, check this out. The razor, it's closed in this one, but it's open in that one."

"What are you guys looking for?" Sarah asks.

"Well, if the spirits changing aspects of the painting, then it's doing so for a reason." Dean says as Ana sees something.

"Hey, look at this. The painting in the painting." Ana points out.

"Looks like a crypt, or a mausoleum or something." Dean says as he looks around grabs a thick glass astray and uses it as a magnifying glass. Dean reads the name on the Mausoleum. "Merchant."

"Well, this is now the good news of my day, let's go." Ana says as they leave Evelyn's house and go to the graveyard.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The four of them, walk through the graves. "This is the third boneyard we've checked. I think this ghost is jerking us around."

"So, this is what you guys do for a living?" Sarah asks, as Ana is on the other side of Dean.

"Not exactly, we don't get paid." Ana comments.

"Well, Mazel tov." Sarah replies, as Ana spies the Mausoleum.

"Over there." Ana points out as she breaks the lock and the four of them enter, pushing aside the cobwebs. There is a number of name plates as well as four urns in front of little glass fronted boxes. Sarah looks into one of the cases at a doll.

"Okay, that right there -- is the creepiest thing I've ever seen." Sarah says.

"It was a... sort of tradition at the time. Whenever a child died sometimes, they'd preserve the kid's favorite toy in a glass case, put it next to the headstone or crypt." Ana explains to Sarah.

"Notice anything strange here?" Dean asks as Ana snickers under her breath, as she sees what Dean is talking about.

"Uh, Sam. Sarah. Come here." Ana says as the other two get closer. "Look at the urns."

"There are only four." Sam says.

"Yeah, mom and the three kids. Daddy dearest, isn't here." Ana says.

"So, where is he?" Sam asks.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The four of them are outside an office building, but Dean and Ana are inside as Sam and Sarah are outside waiting for the other two to come out of the building. A couple minutes after Sarah and Sam waited, Ana and Dean got closer.

"Are we interrupting something?" Dean asks.

"No."

"Not at all."

"So, what did you two get?" Sam asks.

"Paydirt. Apparently the surviving relatives of the Merchant family were so ashamed of Isaiah that they didn't want him interred with the rest of the family. So, they handed him over to the county, the county gave him the pauper's funeral. Economy style. Turns out he wasn't cremated; he was buried in a pine box."

"So, there are bones to burn." Sam says.

"There are bones to burn." Ana and Dean say in unison.

"Tell me you two know where." Sam says.

───※ ·❆· ※───

It is now night-time, and Ana and the Winchester brothers dig the grave. Sarah is holding the flashlight. Sam crawls out of the grave and stands next to Sarah. "You guys seem to be uncomfortably uncomfortable with this." Sarah says

"Well, ah, this isn't exactly the first grave we've dug. Still think I'm a catch?" Sam asks as Sarah laughs as Dean taps his shovel on something hard.

"Think I've got something." He says as he cracks open the coffin lid to reveal a body. Ana pours the salt, Sam the kerosene, as Sarah watches. Dean strikes a match. "You've been a real pain in the ass Isaiah. Good riddance." Dean says as he tosses the match in. The four of them all stand and watch it burn.

"This is always the fun part, watching it burn..." Ana says to Sarah.

"You're weird....I like you." Sarah says to Ana as the red head only smirks at the answer.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The Impala pulls up to Evelyn's house again as Sam opens the passenger door. "Keep the motor running." Sam says.

"I thought the painting was harmless now?" Sarah asks.

"Better safe than sorry. We're gonna bury the sucker." Sam says to Sarah.

Sarah gets out of the car, decisively. "I'm gonna come with you."

"You sure?" Sam asks.

"Yeah." Sarah says.

"Hey! Hey, hey. I'll stay here with Annie; you go make your move." Dean says as Ana is now sitting in the passenger seat, as Sam scoffs and gets out of the car. "Sam. I'm serious!"

As Sarah and Sam move up the stairs Dean turns on the radio, as a love ballad is playing. Sam turns around and gives Dean a 'really' look, as Dean has a 'what' look, as Sam motions him to cut off the music, sighing Dean turns it off.

"Party pooper!" Ana calls out as Sam didn't say or do anything as he just flipped her off. Moments later the front door shuts on Sam and Sarah. Dean and Ana run up the stairs and starts shoving at the door. "Dean! Ana! Is that you?"

Sam pulls out his phone and calls Dean. "Tell me you slammed the door." Dean says.

"Nope, it wasn't me. I think it was the little girl." Sam says.

"Girl? What girl?" Dean asks his brother.

"Yeah, she's out of the painting. I think it might've been her all along." Sam says.

"Wasn't the dad looking down at her? Maybe he was trying to warn us." Dean says.

"Hey, hey, hey, let's recap later alright. Just get us out of here." Sam says as Ana had an idea, as Dean moved to the aside and Ana kicked down the door which was the hottest thing that Dean has seen.

"What was that?" Sam asks his older brother.

"Uh, Ana just kicked down the door." Dean says as Ana practically dragged Dean inside the house. "Okay, okay, I'm coming. God, Annie."

"Sam! Find some salt! Or iron!" Ana calls out to the youngest Winchester.

Sam grabs Sarah's hand, as they go to the kitchen. Sam rummages through the kitchen drawers, as Sarah goes through the cabinets. "What kind of house doesn't have salt? Low-sodium freaks." Sam says as he turns to Sarah. "Hey, d'you find any iron?"

"What's it for?" Sarah asks.

"Iron repels evil spirits but it's gotta be pure. Hurry." Ana says from behind Sam which made him jump.

"Sarah, look in the chair. Sometimes in the seats." Sam says as the living room doors slam shut, wind blows papers everywhere. The little girl appears dragging her doll around the floor by one foot, and a razor in her other hand.

"Sam?" Sarah asks as the three of the including Dean so the four of them move towards an inhuman manner. "That is just so wrong."

Sam backs into the fireside implements grabs the poker. The girl's face shivers, and she roars. Sam swings at the ghost and she disappears. "Let, me guess. Iron?" Sarah asks.

"Yeah." Sam says.

"How are we gonna waste her?" Ana asks.

"I don't know, she was already cremated. There's nothing left to burn."

"The doll. Sometimes they...they use to make the dolls in the kids' image, I mean everything they would even use the kid's real hair. It is the same as human remains, more so human bones. The doll is attached to the little girl." Ana says.

"The Mausoleum!" The Winchester brothers and Ana say in unison.

Dean and Ana race towards the impala and towards the graveyard, driving through the locked gates. Dean screeches the Impala to a halt and the two of them leap out of the car, running into the mausoleum. Ana wasted no time of grabbing her gun and shooting at the glass container. Ana grabs the doll and reaches for her thing of matches, and it lit within seconds. She holds the lit match under the doll's hair. It begins to smoke and then burn. Ana looks at the burnt doll on the floor of the mausoleum, and then pulls out her phone and calls Sam.

"Hey, you good?" Ana asks.

"Not bad."

"Thanks." Ana says.

Dean and Ana approach Sam and Sarah who are watching the painting be crated up. "This was archived in the county records. The Merchant's adopted daughter Melanie. Know why she was up for adoption? 'Cause her real family was murdered in their beds." Dean says holding up some papers."

"She killed them?" Sarah asks.

"Yeah, but who'd suspect her? Sweet little girl. So, then she kills Isaiah and his family. The old man takes the blame. His spirit's been trying to warn people ever since." Ana says.

"So, where's this one go?" A worker asks.

"Take it outside and burn it." Sarah orders as everyone stops and looks at her. "I'm serious guys. Thanks." She says as she turns back to the Winchester brothers and Ana. "So, why'd the girl, do it?"

"Killing others? Killing herself? Some people are just born tortured. So, when they die, their spirits are just as dark." Sam says.

"Maybe. I don't really care. It's over, we move on." Dean says.

"Ahh...I guess this means you're leaving." Sam says as Dean looks from Sam to Sarah. Sam stares at Dean, until he gets it."

"Me and Annie will go wait in the car. See you, Sarah." Dean says as he stands awkwardly as he grabs Ana's hand, then walks away.

"I'm the one that burned the doll, destroyed the spirit, but don't thank me or anything." Dean grumbles as Ana nudges him. "What was that for?"

"Uh, technically genius I did the easy work. So, if anything you can thank me." Ana states.

Dean playfully rolls his eyes as him and Ana are leaning against the car. He has an arm around her. "Oh, right. I forgot." He sarcastically says as he leans down and kisses her on the lips. His arms are around Ana's waist as hers are around the base of his neck. A couple moments later, Dean pulls away from the kiss as he has a smirk on his face. "There's your payment."

"That wasn't enough." Ana adds as Dean chuckles at her, he shakes his head a little at her.

"Okay now you're just being greedy." Dean comments as his and Ana's foreheads are pressed against each other. "How much more?"

"I'll let you know." Ana says as Dean smirked as he leaned down again and continues to kiss her.
