two years later

A sound from outside the bedroom as it was a window opening. Sam opens his eyes as he leaves the bedroom and looks around the apartment. As a window is now open, as it was closed earlier. Footsteps, as Dean and Ana, walk past the strings of beads at the far end of the hall. Sam moves to another part of the apartment and waits. Dean enters the room as Sam lunges forward and grabs Dean's shoulder. Dean grabs Sam's arm, swings him around, and shoves him back.

Sam kicks and is blocked from doing so, then pushed back into another room. If Dean hadn't seen Sam's face before, he saw it now. Sam gets his first glimpse of Dean. Dean elbows Sam in the face as Sam kicks at his brother's head. Dean ducks and swings and Sam blocks. Dean knocks Sam down and pins him to the floor, with one hand at Sam's neck and the other holding Sam's wrist.

Then there were some quiet footsteps, as it was Ana's, as she walked into the room where Sam and Dean were. She purses her lips so that she doesn't laugh at this. In her defense, it is funny. It is the funniest thing that she's seen all day.

"Whoa, easy, tiger." Dean says as Sam breathes hard.

"Dean?" Sam asks, completely not noticing Ana was even here, which made her huff annoyed with a small eye roll.

"I'm here too. Thanks for noticing." Ana grumbles at the younger brother, as Dean laughs, not at what Ana said.

"You scared the shit out of me!" Sam says.

"That's 'cause you're out of practice." Dean says to his brother, as Sam grabs Dean's hand and yanks, slamming his heel into Dean's back and Dean to the floor. "Or not."

Sam taps Dean twice, where Sam is holding him. "Get off of me."

"Wait. Don't think this is funny."

"Annie! Not helping." Dean whisper scolds Ana, who only shrugs her shoulders.

"But, but... Dean." Ana says like a whiny kid that isn't getting her way. which, in her defense, she wasn't. There was a groan that came from Dean, which only made Ana have a smirk on her face, knowing that it was directed at her face.

Sam rolls Dean to his feet and pulls Dean up. "What the hell are you two doing here?"

"Duh, we came here to say hi, and you and D were doing WWE. What do you think?" Ana remarks as Dean gives her a glare, which only makes her smirk only grow.

"Behave, Annie. Or else." Dean says to his girlfriend before he turns back to Sam. "I was obviously looking for a beer."

Dean puts his hands on Sam's shoulders, shakes once, and let's go. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Okay, alright. We gotta talk." Dean says to his brother as Sam gives him a look.

"Uh, the phone?" Sam asks sarcastically as Ana moved towards Dean.

"If I'd'a called, would you have picked up?" Dean asks as just then Jess turns on the light. She is wearing very short shorts and a cropped Smurf's shirt.

"Sam?" Jess asks as the three of them turn their heads in unison.

"Jess. Hey, Dean and Ana, this is my girlfriend, Jessica." Sam says introducing Dean and Ana to his girlfriend Jessica.

"Wait, your brother Dean and Anastasia?" Jess says as she softly smiles.

"It's Ana." Ana says with an awkward smile at Jess.

"Anyway, I gotta borrow your boyfriend here, talk about some private family business. But, uh, nice to meet you." Dean says.

"No." Sam says as he goes over to Jess and puts an arm around her. "No, whatever you want to say, you can say it in front of her."

"Okay." Dean says as he turns to look at them straight on. "Um. Dad hasn't been home in a few days."

"So, he's working overtime on a Miller Time shift. He'll stumble back in sooner or later." Sam says as Dean ducks his head and looks back up at Sam.

"Dads on a hunting trip, and he hasn't been home in a few days." Dean says as Sam's expression doesn't change while he takes this him. Jess glances at Sam.

"Jess, excuse us. We have to go outside." Sam says.

─•~❉᯽❉~•─

Sam, Dean, and Ana head downstairs, Sam has a pair of jeans and a hoodie. Ana puts her hair up in a ponytail, and after that, Dean grabbed Ana's hand.

"I mean, come on. You just can't break in, middle of the night, and expect me to hit the road with you." Sam says to his brother as Dean is holding Ana's hand, keeping her close to him.

"You're not hearing us, Sam. John's missing, we need you to help us find him." Ana says as Sam rolled his eyes.

"You remember the poltergeist in Amherst? Or the Devil's Gate in Clifton? He was missing then, too. He's always missing, and he's always fine." Sam says as now it is Ana's turn to roll her eyes at Sam.

"Not for this long. Now, are you going to come with me and Ana or not?" Dean asks his brother, already knowing the answer that he is going to get.

Sam stops in his tracks. "I'm not."

"Why not?" Dean asks as he has an arm around the small of Ana's back.

"I swore I was done hunting. For good." Sam says to his brother.

Dean and Ana start walking again. "Come on. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't that bad." Dean says.

"Yeah? When I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, he gave me a .45." Sam says.

"Well, what was he supposed to do?" Dean asks.

"I was nine years old! He was supposed to say, 'Don't be afraid of the dark'." Sam says to his brother, as Dean gives his brother a look.

"Don't be afraid of the dark? Are you kidding me? Of course, you should be afraid of the dark. You know what's out there." Dean says to his brother as Ana nods her head.

Ana is afraid of the dark, but she isn't going to admit that. Dean knows that, but he isn't going to tell Sam that. That and because now isn't the time to say that to him anyway.

"Yeah, I know, but still. The way we grew up, after Mom was killed, and Dad's obsession to find the thing that killed her. But we still haven't found the damn thing. So, we kill everything that we can find." Sam says.

"We save a lot of people doing it, too." Dean says as Ana nods her head, even if she hadn't said much since they left the apartment. She was just letting this go down; it was oddly interesting watching the brothers argue like this. It was like a reality tv show. A very amusing TV show.

"You think Mom would have wanted this for us?" Sam asks as Dean rolls his eyes as he and Ana go out the door, with Sam following the two. "The weapon training, and melting the silver into bullets? Man, Dean, we were raised like warriors." Sam adds as the three adults cross the parking lot to the Impala.

"So, what are you going to do? You're just going to live some normal, apple pie life?" Dean asked sarcastically, as even though Ana knew that he wasn't talking to her.

Deep down, she kept telling herself to quit hunting and live her life, but another part of her kept telling her not to stop hunting.

"No. It's not normal. Safe." Sam says to his brother.

"And that's why you ran away." Dean says.

"I was just going to college. It was Dad who said if I was going to go, I should stay gone. And that's what I'm doing." Sam says.

"Yeah, well, Dad's in real trouble right now. If he's not dead already, I can feel it. Me and Ana can't do this alone." Dean says.

"Yes, you can. You two have each other." Sam says to Dean as he brings Ana into the conversation as well.

"Yeah, well, we don't want to." Dean says.

"What was he hunting?" Sam asks his brother.

Ana opened the trunk of the Impala. It was full of weapons, papers, and other clutter. Dean grabs a shotgun and uses it to brace the trunk open. The couple then gigs through the clutter, knowing what they are looking for.

"Where the hell did, I put that thing?" Dean asks as he looks around.

"So, when Dad left, why didn't you go with him?" Sam asks.

"I didn't, I went to Portland." Dean says to his brother which makes Sam look at his older brother.

"Why Portland?" Sam asks.

"I was with Ana; she lived in Portland." Dean says as Ana nods her head at Sam when he looks at her.

"Found it." Ana says as she holds up the folder that Dean is talking about, and he grabs it and kisses her head.

"Thanks, baby." He says as he pulls out some papers of a folder that Ana had found. "Alright, here we go. So, dad was checking out this two-lane blacktop just outside of Jericho, California, about a month ago, this guy..." Dean says as he hands one of the papers to Sam.

"They found his car, but he vanished. Completely MIA." Ana pipes up.

"So, maybe he was kidnapped." Sam says as Ana shakes her head.

"That's what Dean and I thought it was, but here's another one in April." Ana says as Dean hands Ana the one in April.

"There has been ten of them in the past twenty years." Dean says.

"Another one in December of '04. '03, '98, '92." Ana says, as Dean puts the other articles back in the folder.

"All of them are men, all the same five-mile stretch of road." Dean says as he pulls a bag out another part of the arsenal.

"It started happening more and more, so dad went to go dig around. That was a month ago. He mailed all this to me. Me and Ana haven't heard from him since, which is bad enough." Dean says as he grabs a handheld tape recorder that was actually a tape recorder that Ana had made years ago. It came to some use.

"Then I got this voicemail two weeks ago." Dean says, as he presses play, as the recording is staticky, and the signal was clearly breaking up.

"Dean... something big is starting to happen... I need to try and figure out what's going on. It may...be very careful, Dean...We're all in danger."

Dean presses stop. "You know there's EVP on that?" Sam asks.

"Not bad, Sammy. Kinda like riding a bike, isn't it?" Dean says as Sam rolls his eyes as Ana just shakes her head what Dean said.

"No, it isn't." Sam says.

"Alright, I slowed the message down. I ran it through a gold wave. Okay Ana ran it through the gold wave, she took out the hiss, and this is what we got." Dean says, as Ana is the more technology inclined one in the relationship.

Ana presses play on the tape recorder. "I can never go home..." Ana presses stop.

"Never go home." Sam says, as Dean drops the recorder, puts down the shotgun, stands straight, and then shuts the trunk and leans on it, as he has an arm around Ana, holding her close.

"You know, in almost two years, I've never bothered you, neither has Ana, we never asked you for a thing." Dean says as Sam looks away and sighs, then looks back at his brother.

"Alright, I'll go. I'll help you find him." Sam says as Dean nods. "But I have to get back first thing, Monday. Just wait here." Sam says as he turns to go back to the apartment. He then turns back when Dean speaks up.

"What's first thing, Monday?" Dean asks.

"I have this... I have an interview." Sam says as Ana leans her head onto Dean's shoulder.

"What, a job interview? Skip it." Dean says.

"It's a law school interview, and it's my whole future on a plate." Sam says as Dean furrows his eyebrows.

"Law school?" Ana asks, confused, as there is a ghost of a smile on Ana's lips. Nerd.

"So, we got a deal or not, Dean?" Sam asks as Dean doesn't say anything.

After Sam left, Dean picked up Ana and sat her on the back of the impala. He brought Ana in for a loving kiss as his hands were placed on her sides, keeping her in place so that she didn't move.

The kiss was slow and sweet, also knowing that they don't have a lot of time until Sam comes back from getting his stuff. His hands roamed her sides, making her smile in the kiss, as he returned it. He pulled himself from the kiss as his forehead was pressed against hers. "You need to behave, baby." Dean says, which made Ana pout at what he said like a child who just got told the word no, but she nodded her head.

"Do I have to?" Ana asks softly, which makes Dean chuckle at her. Figures. He nodded his head as he kissed her forehead as she laid her head onto his chest as he continued holding her. Just having her in his arms makes Dean weak, but he loves it. The two stay in their comfortable silence of Dean embracing Ana.

"Yes, you do, baby. Please, behave for me." Dean says to Ana in a soft whisper as she nods her head as her head is on his chest. His hands are softly brushing through her soft hair, which makes her hum contently. He hums satisfied that he got the answer that he wanted. "Good." He says as he kisses the top of her head as he continues holding her in his arms.

When Sam had finally emerged towards Ana and Dean, who was currently kissing each other. Sam gave the two a look of disgust at seeing the PDA between the two. He was going to have to deal with the PDA if he likes it or not. Now he doesn't like it.

Sam cleared his throat, which made the couple jump from the sudden noise, and they turned their heads towards Sam. "You two waited until I was gone to have your moment, did you?" Sam asks as Dean helps Ana down, even if she could to it herself. He didn't care. He treats Ana like the princess that she is. She is at least a princess in his book.

She is his princess. She will forever be his princess.

the next day

The impala is parked in front of a pump at a gas station, Ana was busy sleeping in the backseat while Dean went inside, getting what he called 'breakfast', which was junk food. Sam was going through his brother's cassette tape collection as he shook his head.

Dean then comes out of the gas station carrying junk food, which had Ana's favorite bag of chips and a Dr. Pepper, of course. She swears that she doesn't love Dr. Pepper more than Dean, but he already knows that she loves the soda more than him.

"Hey! College boy!" Dean calls out from outside the car, Sam leans out and looks at him. "You want breakfast."

"No thanks." Sam says to his brother. "So, how'd you pay for that stuff?" Sam asks his brother. "You and Dad still running credit card scams?" Sam adds again.

"Yeah, well, hunting ain't exactly a pro ball career." Dean says, which isn't wrong as it isn't. He puts the nozzle back on the bump. "Besides, all we do is apply. It's not our fault they sent us the cards."

"Yeah? And what names did you write on the applications this time?" Sam asks his brother as he swings his legs back inside the car and closes the door.

"Uh, Burt Aframian." Dean says to his brother as Dean gets into the driver's seat and puts his soda and chips down. "And his son Hector. Scored two cards out of the deal." Dean says as he closes the door.

"That sounds about right. I swear, man, you've gotta update your cassette tape collection." Sam says to his brother, which makes Dean look at his younger brother like he just offended him. Which did by saying that.

There are over a dozen cassettes in a box on Sam's lap, some have album art, and others are hand labeled. Most of them are homemade, the ones that are homemade are made by Ana. Ana has so many hobbies, and one of them is making cassette tape boxes.

She probably has way too many hobbies to the average person, but some of them always depend on what mood she is in. At least that's how Dean seen it. Depending on her mood, will depend on what hobby she will do.

"Why?" Dean asks as he gives his brother a weird look as he reaches his hand, letting Ana know that he is back. With that Ana moved slightly as now her back was facing the two brothers.

"Well, for one, they're cassette tapes. And two..." Sam says as he holds up a tape for every band he names. "Black Sabbeth? Motorhead? Metallica?" Dean takes a cassette tape labeled Metallica. "It's the greatest hits of mullet rock."

"Well, house rules, Sammy." Dean says to his brother, as he pops in the tape in the player. "Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole." Dean says as he drops the Metallica box back in the box of tapes and starts the engine of the Impala.

"You know, Sammy isn't a chubby twelve-year-old." Sam says to his brother, as Enter Sandman begins to play.

"Sorry, can't hear you, the music's too loud." Dean says as he drives off.

an hour later

Ana shifts in the backseat as she wipes the sleep off her eyes, as a yawn escapes her lips. Her hair was slightly messy as she just put it up in a bun, not really caring about how it looks.

"Hey, baby." Dean says to Ana as he reaches his free hand onto her clothed knee of her ripped jeans.

Ana let a hum of a reply as she grabbed her bag of chips and her Dr. Pepper. "Thanks, D." She says sleepily, which is the cutest thing ever that Dean has ever heard.

"You're welcome, baby." Dean says as Ana leans forward and kisses his cheek, which makes the sides of Dean's lips curve into a smile, which made Sam's nose wrinkle a little.

"Okay, PDA."

"Shut it." The two mumbled, as Ana lightly punched the younger brother in the arm, for interrupting their moment. Sam winched at the punch, forgetting how hard she punched.

"That doesn't give you a reason to hit me, sheesh." Sam says as Ana shared a chip with Dean, which he happily took as Dean only shares his food with Ana. That and because she gives him those damn puppy dog eyes that she knows that he can't resist.

─•~❉᯽❉~•─

Ana is singing the song that was playing on the cassette tape as she had lost count of what song it was. She took another sip of her Dr. Pepper that wasn't shockingly gone already. As typically by now her Dr. Pepper is gone within ten minutes.

The Impala drives past a sign that says, 'JERICHO 7 MILES'. Good to know. Ana sarcastically thought in her head. Sam was on the phone. "Thank you." Sam says as he closes his phone. "Alright, so there's no one matching Dad at both the hospital and the morgue. So that's something, I guess." Sam says as he closes his phone.

Dean glances over at Sam, then back at the road. At a bridge ahead of them, there are two police cars and several officers. "Check it out." Dean says as Sam leans forward for a closer look, of what his brother was looking at.

Dean pulls over to the side of the road. The three of them take a long look before a song begins to play. Dean opens the glove compartment and pulls out a box full of ID cards with his, Ana's and John's faces. He picks two out and grins at Sam who merely stares at him. "Watch the pros do this." Dean says as him and Ana get out of the car.

"You fellas had another one like this just last month, didn't you?" Dean asks, as Jaffe looks up when Dean starts talking and straightens up to talk to him as he has Ana standing next to him.

"And who are you two?" Jaffe asks as Dean and Ana flash their badges.

"Federal Marshals." Ana says as the officer in front of them give them weird looks.

"Aren't you two a little young for Marshals, aren't you?" Jaffe asks as Dean laughs as Ana cracks a small smile.

"Thanks, that's awfully kind of you." Dean says as he goes over to the car, as Ana follows him to play her role.

"You did have another one just like this, correct?" Ana asks as Officer Jaffe nods his head.

"Yeah, that's right. About a mile up the road. There've been others before that." Officer Jaffe says.

"So, this victim, you knew him?" Dean asks the officer as he nods his head.

"Towns like this, everybody knows everybody." Jaffe says as Dean circles the car, looking around.

"Any connection between the victims, besides that they're all men?" Dean asks, as the officer shakes his head.

"No. Not so far as we can tell." Jaffe says.

"So, what's the theory?" Ana asks as she goes over to Dean.

"Honestly, we don't know. Serial murder? Kidnapping ring?" Jaffe says.

"Well, that is the exactly the kind of crack police work I'd expect out of you guys." Dean says as Ana nudges Dean in the ribs.

"Thank you for your time." Ana says as she starts to walk away as Dean follows her. "Gentleman." She says with a small tight-lipped smile.

Jaffe watches them go, as Dean smacked Ana on the head. "Ow. What was that for?"

"Why'd you have to nudge me?" Dean asks.

"Why must you talk to police officers like that?" Ana says under her breath.

Dean looks at Ana and moves in front of her, forcing Ana to stop walking. "Come on. They don't really know what's going on. We're alone on this. I mean if we're going to find my Dad we've got to get to the bottom of this thing, Annie."

Ana clears her throat and looks over Dean's shoulder as Dean turns. It's Sheriff Pierce and two FBI Agents, one a female Agent.

"Can I help you two?" Sheriff Pierce asks the couple.

"No, sir we were just leaving." Dean says as the FBI Agents walks past Dean, as he nods at each of them. Dean and Ana head past the Sheriff, who turns to watch them go.

When the couple got back to the Impala, Sam was now sitting in the backseat with a book in his hand. Ana got in the passenger seat and Dean got into the driver's seat. Ana had a small smile at being in the passenger seat as it is her throne as Dean's princess. That's what he calls her.

later

A young woman is tacking up posters with Tony Squires's face on the papers, as Dean, Sam, and Ana approach the woman. "I bet you that's her." Dean says as he holds Ana's hand.

Ana shook her head a little at his words. They approach the woman. "You must be Amy." Dean says.

"Yeah." The woman says as she looks at the three.

"Yeah, Troy told us about you. We're his uncles, and that is my girlfriend. I'm Dean, this is Sam, and this is Ana." Dean says as Ana gave the woman a small wave.

"He never mentioned you three two me." Amy says as she starts as the three of them walk with her.

"Well, that's Tony, I guess. We're not around much, we're up in Modesto." Dean says.

"So, we're looking for him to, and we're kind of asking around." Sam says as another young woman named, Rachel, comes up to Amy and puts a hand on her arm.

"Hey, are you okay?" Rachel asks.

"Yeah." Amy says.

"You mind if we ask you a couple questions?" Sam says.

The five of them are sitting in a booth, Ana is sitting next to Dean, and the two brothers are sitting next to each other. Underneath the table, Dean has his hand on Ana's thigh, their hands are interlocked underneath the table.

"I was on the phone with Troy. He was driving home. He said he would call me right back, and... he never did." Amy says.

"He didn't say anything strange, or out of the ordinary?" Sam asks.

Amy shakes her head getting back to the conversation. "No. Nothing, I can remember." Amy says as Sam looks at the woman's necklace.

"I like your necklace." Sam says to the woman.

Amy holds the pendant she's wearing, a pentagram in a circle and looks down at it. "Troy gave it to me. Mostly to scare my parents." Amy says after a pause she laughs. ".... with all that devil stuff."

Sam laughs a little and looks down the back up. "Actually, it means just the opposite. A pentagram is protection against evil. Really powerful. I mean, if you believe in that kind of thing." Ana says to Amy as Dean gave her a side-eyed look.

"Here's the deal ladies. The way Troy disappeared, something's not right. So, if you've heard anything...." Dean says.

Amy and Rachel look at each other, as Dean has a slight raised eyebrow. "What is it?" Deak asks.

"Well, it's just.... I mean with all these guys going missing, people talk." Rachel says.

"What do they talk about?" Dean, Ana and Sam in unison.

"It's kind of this local legend. This one girl? She got murdered out on Centennial, like decades ago." Rachel explains. "Well, supposedly she's still out there."

"She hitchhikes and whoever picks her up? Well, they disappear forever." Amy says as Sam, and Dean look at each other as Ana's eyebrows furrow a bit.

later

Ana, Dean and Sam are at the library trying to get some research about this mystery woman that has been killing men. The brothers are having no luck on the computers. Ana's eyes are locked on an article that she is reading.

"Hey, I think I found it."

"Course, you're having luck. Me and Sam haven't had any luck." Dean says.

"Did you guys try 'Suicide on Centennial'?" Ana says as the two bothers went on both sides on Ana.

Dean looks down at Ana with a small eye roll, and a shake of his head. "No, we didn't try that, Annie."

"Constance Welsh, twenty-four years old, jumps off Sylvania Bridge, drowns in the river." Ana reads.

"Does it say why she did it?" Dean asks Ana.

"An hour before they found her, she called 911, apparently her two little kids are in the bathtub, she leaves them alone for a minute, and when she comes back, they aren't breathing. Both of them dies." Ana says as she reads the article. "Our babies were gone, and Constance just couldn't bear it', says husband, Joseph Welsh." Ana says as she finishes reading.

"So, this is where Constance took the swan dive." Dean says.

later

Sam, Dean and Ana came back to the bridge stopping near the entrance of the bridge. The three of them get out of the Impala and look over the edge.

"So, you think Dad would have been here?" Sam asks as Dean looks at his younger brother.

"Well, he's chasing the same story, and we're chasing him. So, probably." Dean says.

"Okay, so now what?" Sam asked.

"Now, we keep digging until we find him. Might take a while." Dean says to his brother as there was a sigh that came from Sam's mouth.

"Dean, I told you; I've got to get back by Monday--" Sam says as Dean interrupted him slightly annoyed that his brother would be leaving him and Ana.

"Monday. Right, the interview." Dean says, as Ana stayed close to Dean.

"Yeah." Sam says.

"Yeah, I forgot. You're really serious about this, aren't you? You think you're just going to become some lawyer with a girlfriend." Dean says to Sam.

"Maybe. Why not?" Sam says.

"Does your little girlfriend know the truth about you. I mean, does she know about the things that you've done?" Deak asks his brother.

"No, and she is never going to know." Sam says as Ana awkwardly looks around.

"Well, that's healthy. You can pretend all you want, Sammy. But sooner or later you're going to have to face to who you really are." Dean says to his brother.

"And who's that?" Sam asked.

"You're one of us." Dean says.

"No, I'm not like you. This is not going to be my life." Sam says to his brother

"You have a responsibility to--" Dean says but Sam cut him off.

"To Dad? And his crusade? If it weren't for pictures, I wouldn't even know what Mom looks like. And what difference would it make? Even if we find the thing that killed her, Mom's gone. And she's not coming back." Sam says to his brother, which made Dean snap.

Dean grabs Sam by the collar and shoves him against the railing of the bridge. "Don't talk to her like that." Dean says to his brother, as that's when Ana stepped in.

"Enough. Both of you." Ana says as she pushed herself in the middle. Which made the brothers glare at each other as they slowly (very slowly) started calming down. "Thank you." Ana says more so thankful that they've stopped arguing.

"What?" Sam asked a little pissed that Ana had interrupted the argument between him and Dean.

Ana turned to Sam with a cold glare on her face as Dean had her in his arms so that she doesn't push Sam off the bridge. Knowing that's what she would do. She didn't even bother fighting because this is what Dean has to do when Ana and John are in the same room.

"Hey, isn't that Constance?" Dean asks as Ana and Sam turn their heads towards the woman standing on the bridge railing.

Constance looked over at the three adults before she dove over the bridge. The two brothers and Whitney run to the railing and look over.

"Where did she go?" Dean asks as the three of them look down the railing.

"I don't know." Sam says to his brother.

Just then the Impala's engine starts, and the headlights came on, which made Ana jump because Dean had turned off the car before he got out. "Dean." Ana says slightly scared which got the brother's attention.

"What the--" Dean says baffled that this is happening especially to Baby. Because that never happened before.

"Who's driving your car?" Sam asks as Dean reaches into his pocket and jingles them. Sam glances at them, then the car jerked into motion heading straight for them. The three of them all turn and run as Dean has a death grip onto Ana.

The car was moving faster than they were, when it got too close, Sam, Dean and Ana dove over the railing.

"Nooo!" Dean yelled as Ana collided with the ground with a thud, she rolled a little bit until her head hit a boulder. Then the next thing that she knew was that everything was black.

When Ana woke up and regained conscious, she was laying on the hood of the Impala. Luckily, she wasn't as muddy and dirty as Dean was outside of a cut on her cheek as that was the only wound that she has. Dean turned his head towards Ana and saw that she was moving a little.

"Hey, baby. You, okay?" Dean asked her as Ana nodded her head. "Dean's dirty finger gently traced over the cut on her cheek. "It looks pretty deep."

"Great." Ana says unenthuastic about her cut being deep. Dean offered her a small smile.

"There is a first aid kit in the back." Dean says as Sam nods his head before he went to go get the first aid kit. Dean turned his head towards Ana as he lightly kissed her cheek.

"You smell like a toilet." Ana mumbled which made Dean nod his head.

"Yeah, I know, baby." Dean says to her as he kissed her cheek again, letting her know that it's okay.

When Sam came back with the first aid kit, and like always Dean had to hold Ana down. Knowing that she doesn't like when she gets hurt especially on hunts because Dean has to practically hold her down just to take care of her injuries and or wounds.

At a motel, Dean holds a fake MasterCard to the clerk. Dean is still dirty as Sam and Ana are behind him. Ana is still in her slightly dirty clothes, they're mainly slightly dirty because of Dean being dirty and him having to hold her in his arms when Sam disinfected her cheek where she had the cut.

"You guys having a reunion or something?" The clerk asked as Ana was leaning against Sam, which he didn't mind.

"What do you mean?" Ana asks the clerk.

"I had another guy, Burt Aframian. He came and bought out a room for the whole month." The clerk says as Dean looks at Sam.

The motel door swings open as Sam is on the other side of Ana as she is skillfully picking a lock with a paper clip. When she finishes picking the paper clip in her pocket. She stands up as Dean is keeping a look out, until Sam reaches out of the room and yanks his brother's arm and dragging him inside the room. Ana closes the door once Sam and Dean are inside.

The three of them look around, every surface has papers pinned on it, maps, newspaper clippings, pictures, notes, etc. There are books on the desk and assorted junk on the floor and bed, including something with a hazardous material symbol. Ana scrunched her nose in disgust as it also has a soul smell from the expired food in the room. She made a gagging sound.

"Blech." Ana says as Dean turns on a light by the bed and picks up a half-eaten hamburger sitting there. Sam steps over a line of salt on the floor, as Dean sniffs the burger and recoils.

"I don't think he's been here for a couple days." Dean says as Ana gave her boyfriend a look as she rolled her eyes at him.

Ana fingers the salt on the floor and looks up. "Salt, cat-eye shells.... he was worried. Trying to keep something from coming in." Ana says.

Dean looks at the papers covering one wall. "What have you got here?" Sam asks.

"Centennial Highway victims." Ana reads as Sam nods his head.

"I don't get it. I mean, different men, different jobs--"

"Ages, ethnicities. There's always a connection, right? What do these guys have in common?"

"They're all male." Ana piped up which made Sam snicker at her comment.

"Annie, not helping." Dean says which made a giggle escape her lips.

Dean and Sam look at the papers taped to the other walls. There's something about the Bell Witch, two people being burned alive, a skeletal person blowing a horn at several scared people, with the note, 'MORTIS DANSE' a column about 'Devils + Demons', another about 'Sirens + Witches, the possessed', a wooden pentacle, and a note that says, 'Woman in White', above a print out of the Jericho Herald article on Constance's suicide.

"Dad figured it out." Sam says, as Dean and Ana turn to look.

"What do you mean?" Dean asks.

"He found the same article we did. Constance Welch. She's a woman in white." Sam says as Dean looks at the photos of Constance's victims.

"You sly dogs." Dean says as he turns back to Sam. "Alright, so if we're dealing with a woman in white. Dad would have found the corpse and destroyed it." Dean says.

"She might have another weakness." Sam says.

"Well, Dad would want to make sure." Dean says as he crosses Sam. "He'd dig her up. Does it say where she's buried?"

"No, not that I can tell. If I were Dad, though, I'd go ask her husband," Sam says. "If he's still alive."

Sam goes to look at something else. Dean looks at the picture below the Herald article of a woman in a white dress.

"Alright. Why don't you, uh, see if you can find an address. Me and Annie are going to get cleaned up." Dean says as he practically dragged Ana towards the bathroom.

"Hey Dean?" Sam asks, as Dean stops and turns back. "What I said earlier, about Mom and Dad. I'm sorry."

Dean holds up a hand. "No chick-flick moments." Dean says as Sam laughs and nods.

"Alright, Jerk." Sam says.

"Bitch." Dean adds.

"Idiots." Ana mumbles under her breath which made the two brothers laugh a little.

"Okay, missy." Dean says to Ana as he gave her a look which made her pout. "Don't give me that look, Annie." Dean says sounding like he is scolding a child. To him, Annie is a child. Just in a grown-up form.

After Dean and Ana got cleaned up the three of them got ready for bed. Dean cleared off the bed for him and Ana. Mostly for Ana his princess. His princess that makes him want to rip his hair out sometimes, but he loves her anyway.

Dean brings Ana into his arms holding her close as her head is on his shoulder. He presses a soft kiss onto her forehead. He feels her body loosen up a little being in his arms. "I love you baby." He whispers in her ear which made her sleepily kiss his cheek, which only made him smile even more.

God, he loves her. He would give her everything in the entire world, if she asks. He would give her all of the love that her little heart desires. He won't admit it, but him and Ana are...soulmates.

They are meant to be together.

the next morning

What woke Dean up in the morning was the movements of Ana getting up. He manages to open an eye as his vision is blurry from sleeping, once his eye's adjusted Ana is already in the bathroom. He rubs his hand over his face as he turns back over on the bed, wanting to get some more sleep. He looks over at his watch and it is three in the morning. He sighs into the pillow. He looks over at Sam and he is still asleep as his snores are the only noise in the room.

Who knew he snored? When does he snore?

A couple moments later Dean heard the sound of the toilet flushing, and the sink going. Moments later, Ana walked out of the bathroom, with her hair slightly messy from moving around in her sleep, and the sides her shirt had risen up, which only made her look more adorable. Dean felt Ana's arms around him, which made him smile.

"I's love you." Ana says sleepily which almost sounds like she's drunk but she's not, just her being groggy in the morning. Which is another thing that he loves about her. For some strange reason.

"I's love you too, baby." Dean mumbles to her which makes her kiss his bare shoulder. She only hugged him slightly tighter as she had a leg around him keeping him close. "You're just enjoying this, aren't you?" He asks her, as this position is supposed to be the other way around. He is supposed to be the big spoon, and she is supposed to be the little spoon. Not the other way around. Though however, he isn't entirely complaining.

"What makes you say that?" Ana asks groggily which makes Dean chuckle at her.

"This is supposed to be the other way around, you know that, right?" Dean says as Ana presses another kiss on his shoulder, which made Dean smile at her. "You're lucky you're cute."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Ana asks as she poked Dean's side which made him give her a side-eyed look, with a small shake of his head.

"I still love you though." Dean says to Ana as he shifted onto his back and brought Ana into his arms. So that she's on top of him. "My Princess."

a couple hours later

Dean and Ana went back to bed, as Ana is trapped in Dean's arms which neither of them are complaining though. They are both comfortable. Dean having Ana in his arms, and Ana being in Dean's arms. They act like a lovesick couple more so Dean. Which neither of them cares.

When Dean woke up and looked around him and Ana. The two of them were tangled up in each other. How they got into this position, they will never know. Nor do they want to know how they got into the position. Dean is almost always up before Ana, as she isn't a morning person, and he knows how she is in the morning. Like always he wakes her up in the best way (in his head) possible.

He moves a strain of her hair that somehow was in a ponytail. Then again Ana moves in her sleep so maybe she put her hair in a ponytail while she was sleeping. His brain is now starting to hurt of how her hair got this way. It is too early for his brain to start hurting. He presses a soft kiss on her cheek, as she moves a little in her sleep, which makes Dean only smile even more in the kiss. His lips trail from her cheek to her neck, then back up her cheek and then finally landing on her lips.

He has both of his hands on her sides keeping her still as he works his magic of waking her up. Which is working, as when his lips went to hers, she let out the softest moan, which only made her want to kiss her more, which he did. He wanted to hear her noises that she makes, not caring if Sam is on the other bed and or in the same room. If Dean wants to wake up Ana by having a slight make out session, he's going to wake her up by having a slight make out session. Then again, she's his. So, he can do what he wants to her. Not that she complains anyway.

His left hand moved to her cheek cupping her face into his hand, as then her eyes slowly opened, as she was used to it at this point. She was used to Dean's ways of waking her up, this being one of the many ways that he wakes her up. Not that she complains. When he first kissed her like this to wake her up, she gave him a black eye. Her fight or flight mode kicked in and she punched him in the face.

When Dean saw that she was awake, he smiled more in the kiss, as his fingers brushed against her cheek. He broke the kiss to look at his beautiful girlfriend underneath him. Seeing Ana all sleepy and tired in the morning is what gives Dean the will to continue every day. Seeing her like this only makes him love her even more.

"Morning Princess." Dean mumbles to her as he presses a kiss onto her forehead, as his lips linger on her kiss, as she hums a reply. Which makes him chuckle a little, God, he loves her. "I love you, so so much." Dean says to Ana as she gives him a sleepy smile.

Sometimes she wonders how she is even dating Dean. Despite their personality differences that they have, Dean is the gentlest guy that Ana has been with. She's only had two boyfriends in the past, neither of them lasted two years. A year at most, or a couple months. Except for a summer fling she had when she was seventeen, but he doesn't count. Dean treats her like the princess that she is. Even if she a pain in the ass sometimes, he wouldn't trade her for anything in the whole world.

"S'morning, baby." Ana mumbles sleepily to Dean which made him smile, as he pulled her onto his lap, holding her close. She looked so small in his arms, despite the height difference between the two. Everything about her made him want to fall in love with her over and over again. He loves everything about her. Her smile, her touch, her fingers, her everything.

"Hungry, baby?" Dean whispers in her ear, as he kisses under neath her ear, as his lips linger there. He felt her nodding her head, as he played with some of her hair. He moves his lips from under neath her ear to her lips, before he broke the kiss by pulling away so that the two of them could get dressed. Even if neither of them wanted to. If they could, they could be in each other's arms all day.

Like every morning, despite Sam being with them, Ana is slow moving, as she was comfortable underneath her boyfriend, until Dean had the audacity of pulling away, when he knew for a fucking fact that's not what she wanted. How rude. Dean got dressed, into a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and his jacket. Ana slowly gets dressed of course with some assistance from Dean, because her balance sucks, even at nine am. Besides, Dean would take up on the offer any day.

After Ana got dressed without falling on her face, which she managed to do one time. In her defense, Dean was taking too long in the shower, so she got dressed more so impatiently got dressed, and she ended up breaking her wrist while getting dressed.

"Hey, college boy. Me and Ana are going to go grab something to eat in that diner down the street. You want anything?" Dean asks his brother who was already up. Dean making out with Ana was what woke him up, which made him gag, but whatever.

"No, I'm good." Sam says as Dean interlocked his hands with Ana.

"Aframian is buying." Dean says with a cheeky smile on his face, more so because Ana kissed his cheek.

Dean and Ana, walk out of the motel room, they look over and sees a police car where the motel clerk is talking to Deputy Jaffe and Deputy Hein from yesterday at the bridge. The clerk points at Dean who turns away and pulls out his cell phone.

"Dude, five-O, take off." Dean says to his brother, as Sam stands up.

"What about you and Ana?" Sam asks.

"Uh, they kind of spotted us. Go find Dad." Dean says as he hangs up the phone as the Deputies approach. He turns around, and grins at them, as Ana has an innocent smile on her face.

"Morning officers." Ana says as Jaffe gives her a look, which made her return with a tight-lipped smile.

"Problem, officers?" Dean asks.

"Where's your partner?" Jaffe asks.

"Partner? What, what partner? This girl is my partner, as I'm her boyfriend." Dean says as he slung an arm around Ana.

Jaffe glances over his shoulder and jerks his thumb towards the motel room. Hein heads over there, as Ana looks nervously at the window.

"So. Fake US Marshal. Fake credit cards. You got anything that's real?" Jaffe asks.

"My boobs." Dean says as he grins.

Jaffe slams the couple onto the hood of the cop car. "You two have the right to remain silent." Ana gives Dean a look that says, 'i hate you'. Which only made him grin even more.

sheriff's office

Sheriff Pierce enters the room carrying a box. He sets the box on the table at which Dean and Ana sit at. Dean is on one side and Ana is on the other side.

"So, you want to give us your real name, you two?" Sheriff Pierce says.

"I told you, its Nugent. Ted Nugent." Dean says which made Ana snicker at what he said, as he gave her a side-eyed look.

"I'm not so sure you realize just how much trouble you two are in." Sheriff Pierce says.

"We talkin' like misdemeanor kind of trouble, or, uh, squeal like a pig trouble?" Dean says as Ana gave him a glare.

"You got the faces of ten missing persons taped to both of your walls." Sheriff Pierce says as Dean looks away. "Along with a whole lot of Satanic mumbo-jumbos. You two, are officially suspects."

"That makes sense. Because when the first victim went missing in '82, I was three and the girl was a year old." Dean says.

"I know you've got partners. One of 'em's an older guy. Maybe he started the whole thing. So, tell, me Dean." The Sheriff says as he tosses down a brown leather-covered journal on the table. "This his?"

Dean and Ana stare at it. The Sheriff sits on the edge of the table. He flips through the journal: it's filled with newspaper clippings, notes, and pictures, just like what's on the walls of John's motel room.

"I thought that might be your name. See, I leafed through this. What little I could make out-I mean, it's nine kinds of crazy." Sheriff Pierce says as Dean leans forward for a closer look. "But I found this too."

He opens the journal to a page that reads "DEAN 35-11" circled, with nothing else on that page. "Now. You two are stayin', right here till you two tell me exactly what the hell that means." Sheriff Pierce says as Dean stares down at the page, then looks up.

later

Dean and Ana have been at the police station for hours, and it is already killing Ana. She's been quiet saying 'i don't know', or 'ask him', not really giving the Sheriff any real answers. Dean keeps denying that that is and still insisting it his high school locker combination.

Right, his high school locker combination in a journal full of supernatural stuff. Yeah, even that's stupid. Then again, Ana is dating stupid. No one said that Dean is smart though.

"We going to do this all night long?" Sheriff Pierce asks Dean, as there's a deputy leaning into the room.

"We just got a 911, shots fired at Whiteford Road." The deputy says as he cuffs both Ana and Dean to the table and then leaves.

Ana didn't waste any time of glaring at Dean, as he turned to her with a grin on his face. "Dude, wipe that smirk off your face." Ana says annoyed at Dean, as his smirk then slowly drops.

"Annie, its fine." Dean says to her as he sees a paper clip poking out of the journal and pulls it out and looks at it. He gets himself out of the cuffs, before he got Ana out of the cuffs.

Moments later, as the Sheriff and Deputy are gearing up to leave, both Ana and Dean are out of the handcuffs. Dean and Ana watches through the window in the door, as they duck out of sight as the Deputy approaches the door and waits. Minutes later, Dean helps Ana climb down the fire escape, as Ana is carrying John's journal.

Sam is driving the Impala when his phone rings. He pulls it out and answers it. Dean is in a phone booth, as his phone was confiscated but he didn't take the time to steal it back.

"Fake 911 phone call? Sammy, I don't know that's pretty illegal." Dean says with a grin, as Ana is smushed in the phone booth, but it's not the worst circumstance that she's been in.

"You two are welcome." Sam says as Ana could practically hear the grin on his face.

"Listen we gotta talk." Dean says to his brother, but before he could get any further Sam interrupts his train of thought.

"Tell me about it. So, the husband was unfaithful. We are dealing with a woman in white. And she's buried behind her old house, so that should have been Dad's next stop." Sam says.

"Sammy, would you shut up for a second?" Dean says as of course Sam doesn't give Dean to explain.

"I just can't figure out why Dad hasn't destroyed the corpse yet." Sam says as Dean sighs.

"Well, that's what I'm trying to tell you. He's gone. Dad left Jericho." Dean says.

"What? How do you know?" Sam asks.

"Me and Ana have his journal." Dean says.

"He doesn't go anywhere without that thing." Sam says.

"Yeah, well, he did this time." Dean says.

"What's it say?" Sam asks.

"Ah, the old ex-Marine crap, when he wants to let us know where he's going." Dean says.

"Coordinates. Where to?" Sam asks.

"I'm not sure yet." Dean says.

"I don't understand. I mean, what could be so important that Dad would just skip out in the middle of a job? Dean, what the hell is going on?" Sam says, as he looks up and slams the brakes, dropping the phone in the process. Constance appears on the road in front of him. The car goes right through her as Sam brings the Impala to a halt.

"Sam? Sam!" Dean shouts as then the line got cut.

abandoned house

The car stops in front of Constance's house. The engine shuts off and so do the lights. "Don't do this." Sam says to Constance as she flickers, as her voice is sad.

"I can never go home." Constance says.

"You're scared to go home." Sam says.

Sam looks back and sees Constance isn't there. He glances around and back and sees her in the shotgun seat. She climbs into his lap, shoving him back against the seat hard which made the seat recline, as Sam struggles.

"Hold me. I'm so cold." Constance says to Sam.

"You can't kill me. I'm not unfaithful. I've never been!" Sam says.

"You will be. Just hold me." Constance says.

Constance kisses Sam as he continues to struggle, reaching for the keys. She pulls back and disappears, a flash of something horrible behind her face and she vanishes. Sam looks around for a moment, then yells in pain and yanks his hoodie open. There are five new holes burned through the fabric, matching to Constance's fingers, she flickers in front of him, her hand reaching into his chest.

"Ana stay, don't come out, until I say." Dean says to Ana, just then he pulls the trigger on his gun, shattering the window and startling Constance. Dean approaches still firing at her, Constance glares at him and vanishes, then reappears, as Dean keeps firing until she disappears again. Sam manages to sit up and start the car.

Ana had backed away enough so if something happens, she wouldn't get hurt, at least not too bad. "I'm taking you home." Sam says as he drives forward. Dean stares after the car. Sam smashes through the side of the house. Dean hurries through the wreckage to the passenger side of the car.

"Sam! Sam! You, okay?" Dean asks his brother. "Can you move?" Dean asks again.

"Yeah. Help me?" Sam asked as Deam leans through the window to give Sam a hand.

Constance picks up a large framed photograph seen when she brought Troy here, the woman is Constance and the children are presumably hers.

Dean helps Sam out of the car. "There you go."

Dean closes the car door. They look around and see Constance, she looks up. She glares at them and throws the picture down. A bureau scoots towards Sam and Dean, pinning them against the Impala. The lights flicker, Constance looks around scared. Water begins to pour down the staircase. She goes over. At the top are a boy and a girl from the photograph. They hold each other's hands, as they speak in unison.

"You've come home to us, Mommy."

Constance looks at them distraught. Suddenly, they are behind her, they embrace her tightly and she screams, her image flickering. In a surge of energy, still screaming. Constance and the two children melt into a puddle on the floor. Sam and Dean shove the bureau over and go look at the spot where Constance and her children vanished.

"So this is where she drowned her kids." Dean says as he then looked around for Ana. "It's okay, baby. You can come out." Dean calls out as moments later he hears Ana's footsteps coming closer.

"That's why she could never go home. She was tok scared to face them." Sam says to his brother.

"You found her weak spot. Nice work, Sammy." Dean says as he slaps Sam on the chest where he's been injured and walks towards Ana.

Dean picks up Ana as she giggles, he kisses her purposely knowing that Sam is nearby. The kiss was slow, as moments later the two broke the kiss, as Dean had put her down. He put am arm around her keeping her close as the two of them went to the Impala.

"Dude, what were you thinking about shooting Casper into he face, you freak?" Sam asks his brother as Ana had a small smile on her face.

"Hey, I saved your ass." Dean says, as he leans over to look at the car. "I'll tell you another thing. If you screwed up my car?" Dean says as he twists his body back to Sam. "I'll kill you."

Sam looks at Ana. "You gonna let him talk to me like that?"

Ana raised an eyebrow at Sam. "I'm not gonna stop him." Ana says as she got in the backseat.

"Why? He's gonna kill me." Sam says whiny sounding like a kid not getting his way.

"Sam you got yourself into that mess, you be a man and deal with it." Ana says as Dean snickers at hearing that.

"This is why I love Ana. She's always on my side." Dean says as Ana shakes her head a little, with a small smile on her face.

"Not always, but yes." Ana says as Dean turns around and gave her a playful glare.

Ana has the journal open to the coordinates that John had left Dean, and a map open on her lap, and is finding the coordinates with a ruler, and a flashlight tucked between her chin and shoulder.

"Okay, this is where John went. Somewhere in Blackwater Ridge, Colorado." Ana says, as Dean nods.

"Sounds charming, Annie. How far?" Dean asks.

"About six hundred miles, roughly." Ana says.

"Hey, if we shag ass we could make it by morning." Dean says, as Sam looks at him, hesitating.

"Dean, I, um.." Sam says as Dean glances at the road and then back at Sam.

"You're not going." Dean says.

"The interview is in like, ten hours, I got to be there." Sam says as Dean nods his head disappointed and returns his attention back to the road.

"Yeah. Yeah, whatever." Dean says as he glances at Sam. "I'll take you home." He says as Ana turns off the flashlight, as they continue driving back to Sam's apartment.

at sam's apartment

After Sam got out, Ana didn't hesitate to climb in the passenger seat, to sit back into her throne. Dean is still frowning. Sam gets out and leans over to look through the window.

"Call me if you two find him?" Sam asks as Dean nods. "And maybe I can meet up with you later, huh?"

"Yeah, alright." Dean says as Sam pats the car door twice. Dean leans toward the passenger door, as an arm going over the back of the seat and behind Ana's head.

"Sam?" Dean says as Sam turns back to his brother. "You know, the three of us made a hell of a team back there." Dean says.

"Yeah." Sam says as Dean drives off, as Sam watches him go and sighs.

Sam lets himself in the apartment. Everything is dark and quiet. "Jess?" Sam calls as he closes the door. "You home?"

Sam notices a plate of chocolate chip cookies on the table, with a note that reads, 'missed you! love you!', next to a magazine. Sam picks up one and eats it as he sneaks into the bedroom smiling, happy to be back home to his girlfriend. The shower is audibly running, as Sam sits on the bed, shuts his eye and flops onto his back.

Blood drips onto Sam's forehead one drop, then another; he flinches and opens his eyes. He gasps in horror. Jess is pinned to the ceiling, staring down at him and is bleeding from the stomach.

"No!" Sam yells, as Jess bursts into flames, the fire spreads across the ceiling.

Dean kicks the front door open. "Sam!" He yells, as Sam raises one arm to shield his face. "Jess!" Sam yells. Dean comes running into the bedroom.

"Sam! Sam!" Dean yells as he looks up and sees Jess.

"No! No!" Sam continues to yell as Dean grabs Sam off the bed and bodily shoves him out the door, as Sam is struggling all the way down.

"Jess! Jess! No!" Sam continues to yell as flames engulf the apartment.

When the two brothers got out of the apartment, there is fire trucks everywhere firemen and police keeping back gawkers. Ana is in the front seat, sound asleep. She isn't even bothered by what is happening around her.

Dean looks on, then turns and walks back to his car. Sam is standing behind the open trunk, loading a shotgun. Dean looks at the trunk, then at Sam, whose face is set in a mask of desperate anger. Sam looks up, then sighs, nods and tosses the shotgun into the trunk.

"We got work to do." Sam says as he shuts the trunk.
