{phantom traveler}
Dean is asleep on his stomach as half of his body is covering Ana. She is being smushed by Dean, which is fine as she isn't complaining, because he does it anyway. Ana also got over her cold that she had a couple days ago during the last hunt. Ana is sound asleep as they had a rough night tonight as Ana kept tossing and turning which kept waking up Dean. Every time she moved and or woke up, he woke up.
The door to the motel room opened, Dean wakes up and slips a hand under his pillow for the weapon that he and Ana keep just in case. Ana didn't even move a flinch. He then turns to look and sees Sam entering carrying coffee and pastries.
"Morning, sunshine." Sam says with a cheery smile on his face.
"What time is it?" Dean asks groggily as he slipped the weapon back underneath the pillow. He then kissed Ana's cheek and brushed a hand through her messy hair.
"Uh, it is about five forty-five." Sam says looking at the clock by the bed.
"In the morning?" Dean asks as he wraps his arms around Ana, as he kisses her cheek again.
"Yep." Sam says to his older brother as Dean has his face in the crook of Ana's neck.
"Where did the day go?" Dean asks as it sounds mumbled as his mouth was slightly covered from Ana's shoulder. "Did you get any sleep last night?" Dean asks his brother as he has his arms wrapped around Ana, keeping her close.
"Yeah, I grabbed a couple hours." Sam says which was a lie on so many levels, even Dean knows that.
"Liar. Cause I was up at three with Annie and you were watching a George Foreman infomercial." Dean says, to his brother, as he kisses Ana's neck twice.
"Why were you up at three?" Sam asks as Dean points a finger at Ana.
"She had a rough night as her body didn't let her relax and go to bed. So, every time she moved and or got up, I woke up." Dean says, as Sam nods his head at what his brother says. "Speaking of you, when was the last time you got a good night's sleep?" Dean asks his brother as Sam shrugs his shoulders.
"I don't know, a little while I guess. It's not a big deal." Sam says shrugging it off like it isn't no big deal.
"Yeah, it is." Dean says to his brother.
"Look, I appreciate your concern--" Sam says but he got cut off by Dean.
"Oh, I'm not concerned about you. It's your job to keep my ass alive, so I need you sharp." Dean says, as he kisses Ana's cheek again. "Seriously, are you still having nightmares about Jess?" Dean asks his brother.
Sam crosses the room and sits on the other bed and puts a cup of coffee by the bedside table. "Yeah. But it's not just her. It's everything. I just forgot, you know? This job. Man, it gets to you."
"You can't let it. You can't bring it home like that." Dean says to his brother.
"So, what? All this it...never keeps you up at night?" Sam asks as Dean shakes his head.
"Never? You're never afraid?" Sam asks his brother, as Dean moves another piece of Ana's hair behind her ear.
"No, not really." Dean says as Sam reaches underneath Dean's pillow to pull out a large hunting knife and holds it up as evidence. He was careful not to wake up Ana as he grabbed the knife knowing that she was still asleep.
Dean takes the knife back from his brother and puts it back underneath the pillow. "That is not fear. That is precaution."
"Alright, whatever. I'm too tired to argue." Sam says to his brother as Dean kisses Ana's cheek as she then slowly moved in her sleep. As she turned around in her sleep so that her back was now facing Sam.
Dean has a small smile at seeing Ana sound asleep, as she looks adorable while she is sleeping. His right-hand interlocks with her hand, as he gives her hand a small squeeze.
"So, what is the story of when you guys started dating?" Sam asks his brother changing the subject which Dean is thankful for.
"Uh, two and an ish years ago after the fight between you and Dad. I left the safe house, and I uh, I got her address from Bobby and made a trip to Portland where she lives. I didn't want to go too far for hunts, so I stayed within the Oregon area. Uh, then after a month of us living with each other, that was when we started dating." Dean explains as he brushed his hand through Ana's hair as Sam nods his head at his brother at what he said.
Dean's phone then rings which makes Ana stir in her sleep and he answers it. "Hello?"
"Dean, it's uh, it's Jerry Panowski. You, and your dad helped me out a couple years back."
Dean nods his head at the memory of the Poltergeist hunt a while ago. "Oh, right yeah. Up in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the poltergeist thing. It's not back, is it?" Dean asks as Ana opens an eye, as Dean has his free hand brushing his fingers through her hair.
"No. No. Thank God, no. But it's something else, and... uh, I think it could be a lot worse."
"What is it?" Dean asks as he helps Ana up on the bed, so that she is sitting up on the bed.
"Can we talk in person?"
"Yeah, sure give me a couple hours and I will be there as soon as I can." Dean says as he eyes Sam who looks at his older brother. Ana lets out a yawn, as she rests her head on Dean's shoulder. Dean and the guy hang up, as Dean sighs.
"Get dressed, baby." Dean says to Ana who nods her head as she gets up from the bed, as she starts moving around the room getting her clothes.
Soon enough within a couple minutes all of them are dressed and out the door. "You can fall back asleep until we get there, okay?" Dean asks as Ana nods her head at her boyfriend.
"Okay." Ana says with a little yawn which makes Dean smile as he thought it was the cutest thing ever.
───※ ·❆· ※───
"Thanks for making the trip so quick. I ought to be doing you guys a favor, not the other way around. Dean and your dad really helped me out." Jerry says to Dean, as Ana is in the middle of Dean and Sam.
"Yeah, he told me. It was a poltergeist?" Sam asks as Dean and Ana have their hands interlocked with each other.
"Poltergeist? Man, I love that movie." A random man says, as he overheard what Sam had said.
"Hey, nobody's talking to you. Keep walking." Jerry says as Ana snickered at what he said. "Damn right, it was a poltergeist, practically tore our house apart. Tell you something, if it wasn't for you and your dad. I probably wouldn't be alive. Your dad said you were off at college. Is that right?"
"Yeah, I was. I'm--taking some time off." Sam says which entirely wasn't a lie in a sense, but it also wasn't the truth either.
"Well, he was really proud of you. I could tell. He talked about you all the time." Jerry says, as Ana furrowed her eyebrows at what he said.
'Is that the same man who is Dean and Sam's father' Ana thought in her head, because it couldn't have been the same man who is Dean and Sam's father.
"He did?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, you bet he did. Oh, hey, you know I tried to get a hold of him, but I couldn't. How's he doing, anyway?" Jerry asked the brothers.
"He's um, wrapped up in a job right now." Dean says which was sort of the truth, but not a lie either.
"Well, we're missing the old man, but we get Sam. Even trade, huh?" Jerry says semi joking, as Dean laughs as Ana huffs a laugh.
"No, not by a long shot." Sam says.
"I got something I want you guys to hear." Jerry says as the four of them walk to Jerry's office. "I listened to this. And, well, it sounded like it was up your alley." Jerry says as he puts a CD into a drive. "Normally, I wouldn't have access to this. It's the cockpit voice recorder for United Britannia flight 2485. It was one of ours." Jerry says.
"Mayday! Mayday! Repeat! This is United Britannia 2485--immediate instruction help! United Britannia 2485, I copy your message--May be experiencing some medical failure."
"Took off from here, crashed about two hundred miles south. Now they're saying medical failure. Cabin depressurized somehow. Nobody knows why. Over a hundred people on board. Only seven got out alive. Pilot was one. His name is Chuck Lambert. He's a good friend of mine. Chuck is, uh...well, he's pretty broken up about it. Like it was his fault."
"You don't think it was?" Sam asks.
"No, I don't." Jerry says.
"Jerry, we're going to need passenger manifests, um, a list of survivors." Sam says, as Ana nods her head.
"Alright." Jerry says.
"And, uh, any way we can take a look at the wreckage?" Dean asks.
"The other stuff is no problem. But the wreckage...guys, the NTSB has it locked down in an evidence warehouse. No way, I've got that kind of clearance." Jerry says as Dean frowns.
"No problem." Ana says.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Sam is waiting by the car outside a Copy Jack. As Dean and Ana exist a woman enters.
"Hey." The woman says as Ana does a fake salute as a greeting.
"You two have been in there forever." Sam says as Ana rolls her eyes a little.
Dean holds up three ID's. "You can't rush perfection." Dean says as he hands Sam and Ana the fake badges.
"Homeland Security?" Sam asks in disbelief. "That's pretty illegal even for us." He adds.
"Yeah, well, it's something new. You know? People haven't seen it a thousand times." Dean says as the three of them get into the car. "Alright, so what do you got?"
"Well, there's definitely EVP on the cockpit voice recorder." Sam says.
"Yeah?" Dean asks.
"Listen." Sam says, as Ana leans her head forward. Sam plays the tape, which has been edited to pull out a scratchy voice.
"No survivors!" The voice says as Ana's eyes widened at hearing that.
"No survivors? What's that supposed to mean? There were seven survivors." Ana says.
"Got me." Sam says.
"So, what are you thinking? A haunted flight?" Dean asks.
"There's a long history of spirits and death omens on planes and ships like phantom travelers." Ana says as Sam nods his head.
"Mm-hmm." Dean says.
"Or remember flight 401?" Sam asks.
"Right. The one that crashed, the airline salvaged some of its parts, put in other planes, then the spirit of the pilot and copilot haunted those flights." Dean says as Ana nods her head.
"That's right." Ana says.
"Yep." Dean says.
"Maybe we got a similar deal." Sam says.
"Alright, so survivors, which one do you want to talk to first?" Dean asks.
"Third on the list: Max Jaffey." Sam says as Ana tilts her head in confusion.
"Why him?" Dean and Ana ask as they do their fist-bump like they always do.
"Well, for one, he's from around here. And two, if anyone saw anything weird, he did." Sam says.
"What makes you say that?" Dean asks.
"Well, I spoke to his mother." Sam says as the Impala is parked in front of the gate to a building with a sign out front reading: RIVERFRONT PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL. "And she told me where to find him."
───※ ·❆· ※───
Max is walking with a cane between Sam and Dean as Ana is on the other side of Dean.
"I don't understand. I already spoke with Homeland Security." Max says.
"Right. Some new information has come up. So, if you could just answer a couple questions, that would be brilliant." Ana says before either brother had a chance of saying anything.
"Just before the plane went down, did you notice anything.... unusual?" Sam asks.
"Like what?" Max asks.
"Strange lights, weird noises, maybe. Voices." Ana says.
"No, nothing." Max says.
"Mr. Joffey..." Dean says but he got interrupted by Max.
"Jaffey.."
"Jaffey, right. You checked yourself in here, right?" Dean asks as Max nods his head.
"Can I ask why?" Ana asks.
"I was a little stressed. I survived a plane crash." Max says.
"Uh huh, and that's what terrified you? That's what you were afraid of?" Dean asks.
"I... I don't want to talk about this anymore." Max says.
"See, I think maybe you did see something up there. We need to know that." Dean says.
"No. No, I was...delusional. Seeing things."
"It's okay. Then just tell us what you thought you saw, please." Sam says.
"There was...this--man. And, uh, he had these...eyes--these, uh...black eyes. And I saw him--or I thought I saw him." Max says.
"What?" Dean asks confused as Ana furrowed her eyebrows.
"He opened the emergency exist. But that's...that's impossible, right? I mean, I looked it up. There's something like two tons of pressure on that door." Max says as Ana nods her head.
"Yeah." Ana says.
"This man, uh, did he seem to appear and disappear rapidly? It would look something like a mirage?" Sam asks.
"What are you, nuts?" Max asks as Ana has a smile on her face, as Dean nudges her subtly, as her smile then dropped. "He was a passenger. He was sitting right in front of me."
───※ ·❆· ※───
The Impala pulls up in front of a house. "So, here we are. George Phelps, seat 20C." Sam says.
"Hmm. Man, I don't care how strong you are." Dean says as the three of them get out of the car. "Even yoked up on PCP or something, no way you can open up an emergency door during a flight."
"Not if you're human. But maybe this guy George was something else. Some kind of creature, maybe, in human form?" Sam theorizes.
"Does that look like a creature's lair to you?" Ana asks as Sam turns to look at a perfectly ordinary house.
The three of them sit across from Mrs. Phelps. Sam is looking at a framed photograph. "This is your late husband?" Sam asks.
"Yes, that was my George." Mrs. Phelps says.
"And you said he was a... dentist?" Ana asks as she sits on the other side of Dean
"Mm-hm. He was headed to a convention in Denver. Do you know that he was petrified to fly? For him to go like that." Mrs. Phelps says.
"How long were you married?" Ana asks.
"Thirteen years." Mrs. Phelps says.
"In all that time, did you ever notice anything...strange about him, anything out of the ordinary?" Sam asks.
"Well... uh, he had acid reflex, if that's what you mean." Mrs. Phelps says as the three of them glance at each other.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The three of them come down the stairs out front of the house. "I mean it goes without saying. It just doesn't make any sense." Sam says as Ana nods her head, as even she is confused, and she reads lore for fun.
"A middle-aged dentist with an ulcer is not exactly evil personified. You know what we need to do is get inside that NTSB warehouse, check out the wreckage."
"Okay. But if we're going to go that route, we'd better look the part." Sam says to Ana and Dean.
[here is ana's suit for homeland security]
(I know that is not Scarlett Johansson who portrays Anastasia, but please go with me on that. Thanks!)
The three of them exit a store, wearing suits, all of them are crisp black suits with white shirts. This was the first time that Ana wore a suit, especially like this. She doesn't look half bad if she says so herself. Dean couldn't (can't) keep his eyes off Ana in her suit. Sam adjusts his collar.
"Man, I look like one of the Blues brothers." Dean says, as Ana snickers which earned a glare from her boyfriend, as she has a sheepish smile.
"No, you don't. You look more like a... seventh grader at his first dance." Sam says as Ana nods her head as she still has her smile on her face. She can honestly say that Dean looks hot in the suit.
Dean looks down at himself. "I hate this thing." He says more so to himself than anything.
"It's not that bad actually." Ana says with a small smile as she pats Dean's shoulder.
"Hey. You want into that warehouse or not?" Sam asks as Dean starts the Impala, Sam and Ana are already in their seats.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The three of them enter the warehouse and show their badges to the security guard, who nods his head and lets them in. They walk among the plane wreckage. Dean and Ana simultaneously pulls out a device and puts earbuds in their ears.
"What are those?" Sam asks the boyfriend and girlfriend.
"They are EMF meters. They read electromagnetic frequencies." Ana says to the youngest Winchester.
"Yeah, I know what an EMF meter is, but why do they look like a busted-up Walkman?" Sam asks as Ana raises her eyes to look at Sam.
"Cause that's what I made them out of. They're homemade." Ana says as she has a grin on her face.
"Yeah, I can see that." Sam says, as he lowers his gaze to the EMF before raising it back up at Ana, as her grin disappears.
"Rude." Ana mumbles under her breath.
Dean runs his EMF meter over a piece of the wreckage with yellow dust on it and gets an audible spike. "Check out the emergency door handle." Dean says as he scratches at the yellow dust and gets some on his hand.
"What is this stuff?" Dean asks.
"One way to find out." Ana says as she scrapes some of the yellow dust off into a bag.
Sam, Dean and Ana peer around a corner and walk out casually. Suddenly an alarm blares, and they all run to the gated exit. Pulling off his suit jacket, Dean throws it over the barbed wire at the top of the fence, and they all climb over. Dean then grabs the jacket.
"Well, these monkey suits do come in handy." Dean says.
"There's a shock." Ana says as Dean gives her a side-eyed look.
.....
Jerry looks at the yellow stuff through a microscope; what the microscope sees is replicated on a screen. "Huh. This stuff is covered in sulfur." Jerry says.
"You sure?" Ana asks.
"Take a look for yourself." Jerry says, as then there is banging sounds from outside the office.
"You effin' piece of crap." A man says, as Jerry gets up, before turning back to the three. "If you guys will excuse me, I have an idiot to fire."
As Jerry leaves, Ana goes over and looks into the microscope. "Yeah, that is definitely sulfur, so maybe we're dealing with a demonic possession. It could also explain how a mortal man would have the strength to open up an emergency hatch." Ana says.
"This goes way beyond floating over a bed or barfing pea soup. I mean it's one thing to possess a person, but to use them to take down an entire airplane?" Dean says.
"You ever heard of something like this before?" Sam asks, as Ana shakes her head along with Dean.
"Never, nothin', I have seen." Dean says.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The three of them are in the motel in full research mode with images and articles taped to the walls and strewn across their beds. Sam is looking at something on the computer. Dean is reading something on one bed, as he is sitting next to Ana.
"Okay, so every religion in every culture has the concept of demons and demonic possession. Christian, Native American, Hindu, you name it. It is there." Ana says.
"Yeah, but none of them describe anything like this." Dean says to Ana.
"Well, according to Japanese beliefs, certain demons are behind certain disasters, both natural and man-made. One causes earthquakes, another causes disease." Ana says to Dean, who is sitting next her.
"And this one cause plane crashes?" Dean asks sarcastically as he stands up. "Alright, so what? We have a demon that's evolved with the times and found a way to ratchet up the body count?"
"Yeah. You know, who knows how many planes, it's brought down before this one?" Sam asks as Dean snorts. "What?"
"I don't know, man. This isn't our normal gig. I mean, demons, they don't want anything, just death and destruction for its own sake. This is big, and I wish Dad was here. I mean with Annie here, we have you and her doing the computer stuff, and a little more help."
"Yeah, me too." Sam says.
Moments later, Dean's phone rings and he answers it. "Hello?" Dean asks.
"Dean, it's Jerry."
"Oh, hey, Jerry."
"My pilot friend....Chuck Lambert is dead." Jerry says as Ana's eyes widened when he said that.
"Wha--Jerry, I'm sorry. What happened?" Dean asks.
"He and his buddy went up in a small twin about an hour ago. The plane went down."
"Where'd this happen?" Dean asks, as Ana puts her computer on the bedside table.
"About sixty miles west of here, near Nazareth."
"I'll try to ignore the irony in that." Dean says as Ana smiled when he said that as she understood the irony.
"I'm sorry?"
"Nothing. Jerry, hang in there, alright? We'll catch up with you soon." Dean says as he hangs up.
"Another crash?" Sam asks as Ana nods her head.
"Yeah. Let's go." Dean says to Sam and Ana.
"Where?" Ana asks as she grabs her jacket.
"Nazareth." Dean replies.
"Well, there's a shock." Ana grumbles as Dean snickers at what she said.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The Impala drives past a road sign that says: NAZARETH 3. There is black smoke visible in the distance that makes Ana slight raise her eyebrows.
Jerry is again looking through a microscope. "Sulfur?" Dean asks as Jerry nods his head. "Well, that's great. Alright, that's two planes crashing involving Chuck Lambert. This demon sounds like it was after him."
"With all due respect to Chuck, if that's the case, that would be the good news." Sam says, as Ana and Dean turn to the youngest Winchester.
"What's the bad news?" Ana asks.
"Chuck's plane went down exactly forty minutes into the flight. And get this, so did flight 2485." Sam says as Ana raised her eyebrows.
"Forty minutes? What does that mean?" Jerry asks.
"It's biblical numerology. You know Noah's Ark; it rained for forty days and forty nights. That number means death." Ana says as Dean nods his head at his girlfriend.
"I went back, and there have been six plane crashes over the last decade that all went down exactly forty minutes in." Sam says.
"Any survivors?" Ana asks.
"No. Or not until now, at least, not until flight 2485, for some reason. On the cockpit voice recorder, remember what the EVP said?"
"Yeah, no survivors." Ana says. "It's going after all the survivors. It's trying to finish the job."
───※ ·❆· ※───
The Impala is driving, Sam is on the phone. It is not nighttime, and it is dark outside. "Really? Well, thank you for taking our survey, and if you do plan to fly, please don't forget your friends at United Britannia Airlines. Thanks." Sam says as he then hangs up.
"Alright, that takes care of Blaine Sanderson, and Dennis Holloway. They're not flying anytime soon." Sam says.
"So, our only wildcard is the flight attendant, Amanda Walker." Ana says.
"Right. Her sister Karen said her flight leaves Indianapolis at eight pm. It's her first night back on the job since the first accident." Sam says.
"That sounds like just our luck." Dean grumbles.
"Dean, this is a five-hour drive, man, even with you behind the wheel." Sam says.
"Call Amanda's cellphone again, see if we can't head her off at the pass." Dean says as Sam shakes his head.
"I already left her three voice messages. She must have turned her cellphone off." Sam says. "God, we're never going to make it."
"We'll make it." Dean and Ana say in unison as they do their fist-bump again with matching smiles on their faces.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The three of them rush into the airport and check the Departure board. "Right there. They're boarding in thirty minutes." Sam says, as Ana catches her breath.
"Okay. We still have some cards to play. We need to find a phone." Dean says as he picks up a courtesy phone.
"Airport Serivces."
"Hi, gate thirteen." Dean says.
"Who are you calling, sir?"
"I'm trying to contact an Amanda Walker. She's a flight attendant on flight...um 4-2-4." Dean says.
"Amanda Walker, Amanda Walker, you have a phone call. White courtesy phone, gate thirteen." The PA voice says.
"Come on." Dean whispers as he waits for Amanda.
"This is Amanda Walker."
"Miss Waler. Hi, this is Dr. James Hetfield from St. Francis Memorial Hospital. We have a Karen Walker here." Dean says.
"Karen?"
"Nothing serious, just a minor car accident, but she was injured, so--" Dean says as he was interrupted by Amanda.
"Wa--wait. That's impossible. I just got off the phone with her." Amanda says as Dean pauses.
"You what?" Dean asks as Ana is standing next to Dean.
"Five minutes ago. She's at her house, cramming for a final. Who is this?"
"Uh, well...there must be some mistake." Dean says.
"And how would you even know I was here?" Amanda asks as Sam goes around Dean to try to hear what's going on. "Is this one of Vince's friends?"
"Guilty as charged." Dean says.
"Wow. This is unbelievable."
"He's really sorry." Dean says.
"Well, you tell him to mind his own business and stay out of my life, okay?"
"Yes, but...he really needs to see you tonight, so--" Dean says but he gets cut off by Amanda.
"No. I'm sorry. It's too late."
"Don't be like that. Come on. The guy's a mess. Really. It's pathetic." Dean says.
"Really?"
"Oh, yeah." Dean says.
"Look, I've got to go. Um...tell him to call me when I land." She says as she hangs up."
"No. No. Wait, Amanda. Amanda! Damn it! So, close." Dean says as he slams the phone.
"Thank you for flying United Britannia Airlines." The intercom says.
"Alright, it's time for plan B. We're getting on that plane." Sam says as Dean and Ana turn to Sam in sync.
"Whoa, whoa, now just hold on a second." Dean says as he and Ana are wide-eyed.
"Dean, that plane is leaving with over a hundred passengers on board, and if we're right, that plane is going to crash." Sam says.
"We know." Ana says.
"Okay. So, we're getting on the plane, we need to find that demon and exorcise it. I'll get the tickets. You get whatever you can out of the trunk. Whatever that will make it through the security. Meet me back here in five minutes." Sam says as Dean and Ana look at the youngest Winchester anxiously.
"Are you two, okay?" Sam asks.
"No, not really." Ana says.
"What? What's wrong?" Sam asks, the two.
"Well, we kind of have this problem, with uh...." Dean says.
"Flying?" Sam asks.
"It's never really been an issue until now." Dean says.
"You two are joking, right?" Sam asks.
"Do we look like we're joking? Why do you think I drive everywhere, Sam?" Dean asks.
"Alright. Uh, I'll go." Sam says, as Ana looks at Sam.
"What?" Ana and Dean ask in unison.
"I'll do this one on my own." Sam says.
"What are you fucking, nuts?" Ana whisper shouts at Sam.
"You said it yourself, the plane's going to crash." Dean says.
"Dean, we can do it together. Or I can do this one by myself. I'm not seeing a third option here." Sam says as Dean and Ana look like children forced to eat vegetables.
"Come on!" Dean exclaims.
"Really? Man..." Ana mutters under her breath as Dean grabs her hand. "If we make out of this alive, I am killing you Sam."
.....
"Flight attendants, please cross-check doors before departure." The intercom says.
Ana is in the aisle seat; Dean is beside her in the middle and Sam has the window seat. Dean is anxiously reading the safety card.
"Just try to relax, you two." Sam says to Dean and Ana like he is talking to two kids.
"Just try to shut up." Dean mutters as the plane takes off and Ana has a death grip on Dean's arm, as he does of her arm. They are both jumping at every rumble and sound, as Sam smirks at the two of them, being like two children.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Dean and Ana are leaning back, as Dean is humming Metallica, and Ana is resting her head onto Dean's shoulders with her eyes shut as she is mouthing bible verses for some reason. It oddly enough calms her down at least for a while.
"You're humming Metallica?" Sam asks.
"Calms me down." Dean says as he then goes back to humming a Metallica song.
"Look, guys. I know you're nervous, alright? But you got to stay focused." Sam says, as there was no way Ana was releasing Dean from her death grip that she has.
"Okay." Dean says, as he was used to Ana having a death grip on his arm, that he wasn't not bothered by the fact that his arm was currently numb.
"I mean, we got thirty-two minutes and counting to track this thing down, or whoever, it's possessing, anyway, and perform a full-on exorcism." Sam says.
"Yeah, on a crowded plane. That's going to be crazy." Dean says as Ana nods her head as she didn't open her eyes.
"Let's just take one step at a time, alright? Now, who is it possessing?" Sam asks.
"It's usually going to be somebody with some sort of weakness, you know, a chink in the armor, that the demon can worm through. Somebody with an addiction or some sort of emotional distress." Dean says.
"Well, this is Amanda's first flight after the crash. If I were her, I'd be pretty messed up." Sam says.
"Mm-hm." Dean says as he nudges Ana who opened an eye.
"See if you can find Amanda." Dean says as Ana turns to look at the back of the plane, before turning back to Dean.
"Found her." Ana says.
"I'll go talk to her, and uh, I'll get a read on her mental state." Dean says.
"What if she's already possessed?" Sam asked.
"Then this is the quickest hunt ever." Ana says as Dean nods his head.
"There are ways to test that." Dean says, as he goes into his bag and comes out with a Virgin Mary-shaped bottle of water. "I brought holy water."
"No." Ana says as she snatches the bottle and tucks it into her hoodie. "Dean, if she's possessed, she'll flinch at the name of God. Say 'Christo.' Say it in Latin."
"Noted." Dean whispers as he turns to leave and makes his way to the back of the plane, thumping a seat once after the plane shakes.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your first officer speaking..." The Co-Pilot says.
───※ ·❆· ※───
"Alright, well, she's got to be the most well-adjusted person on the planet." Dean says.
"You say, 'Christo'?" Ana asks as Dean nods his head.
"Yeah." Dean says as he sits back down in his chair.
"And?" Sam asks.
"There's no demon in her. There's no demon getting in her." Dean says.
"So, if it's on the plane, it can be anyone. Anywhere." Sam says, as then the plane shakes, which makes Ana hold in a breath.
"Come on! That can't be normal!" Dean whisper shouts.
"Hey, hey, it's just a little turbulence." Sam says.
"Sam, this plane is going to crash, okay? So, quit treating me and Ana like we are four."
"You need to calm down." Sam whispers to his brother.
"Well, sorry, if I can't." Dean says.
"Yes, you can." Sam says.
"Dude, stow the touchy-feely, self-help yoga crap. It's not helping. Annie is the only one allowed to do that, because she is cute and adorable." Dean says, as he squeezes Ana's hand for the sole purpose of reminding himself that she is right beside him.
"Listen, if you're panicked, you're wide open to demonic possession, so you need to calm down. Right now." Sam says, as Dean takes a long, slow breath. "Good. Now, I found an exorcism in here that I think is going to work. The Rituale Romanum."
"What do we have to do?" Dean asks.
"It's in two parts. The first part expels the demon from the victim's body. It makes it manifest, which actually makes it more powerful. The second part sends the bastard back to hell." Ana says before Sam has a chance of saying anything.
"What Ana said." Sam says as Ana fake salutes the youngest Winchester brother.
"First things first, we got to find it." Dean says, as he walks slowly up the aisle with his EMF meter, getting odd looks but no readings, Sam claps him on the shoulder, which makes him jump. "Don't do that."
"Anything?" Sam asks.
"No, nothing. How much time do we have left?" Dean asks.
"Fifteen minutes. Maybe we missed somebody." Sam says.
"Maybe the thing's just not on the plane." Dean says.
"You believe that?" Sam asks.
"Well, I will if you will." Dean says as he looks down as the EMF spikes. The Co-Pilot exits the bathroom and heads towards the cockpit.
"What? What is it?" Sam asks.
"Christo." A voice says behind the brothers which makes them jump, as it's Ana.
The Co-Pilot turns slowly to face the three of them, his eyes are black. Then he goes into the cockpit. The brother's glance at each other.

Sam, Dean and Ana head to the back of the plane towards Amanda. "She's not going to believe this." Sam says.
"Twelve minutes, dude." Dean says.
"Oh, hi. Flight's not too bumpy for you, I hope." Amanda says to the three of them.
"Actually, that's kind of what we need to talk to you about." Dean says, as Sam closes the curtain.
"Um, okay. What can I do for you?" Amanda asks.
"Alright, this is going to sound nuts, but we just don't have time for the whole, 'the truth is out there' speech right now." Dean says.
"Alright, look, we know you were on flight 2485." Sam says as Amanda's smile disappears.
"Who are you guys?" Amanda asks.
"Now, we've spoken to some of the other survivors. We know somebody brought down that plane and it wasn't a mechanical failure." Sam says.
"We need your help because we need to stop it from happening again. Here. Now." Dean says.
"I'm sorry--I--I'm very busy. I have to go back--" Amanda says as she tries to brush past Dean, who stops her.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. We're not going to hurt you, okay? But listen to me, uh...The pilot in 2485, Chuck Lambert. He's dead." Dean says.
"Wait, what? What, Chuck is dead?" Amanda asks.
"He died in a plane crash. Now, that's two plane crashes in two months. That doesn't strike you as strange?" Dean asks.
"I--"
"Look, there was something wrong with 2485. Now maybe you sensed it, maybe you didn't. But there's something wrong with this flight, too." Sam says.
"Amanda, you have to believe us." Ana says to Amanda.
"On....on 2485, there was this man. He...had these eyes." Amanda recalls.
"Yes. That's exactly what we're talking about." Sam asks.
"I don't understand, what are you asking me to do?" Amanda asks.
"Okay. The copilot, we need you to bring him back here." Dean says.
"Why? What does he have to do with anything?" Amanda asks.
"Don't have time to explain. We just need to talk to him. Okay?" Dean asks.
"How am I supposed to go into the cockpit and get the copilot..." Amanda asks.
"Do whatever it takes. Tell him there's something broken back here, whatever will get him out of that cockpit." Sam says.
"Do you know that I could lose my job if you--" Amanda says but she gets cut off by Ana.
"Okay, well you're going to lose a lot more if you don't help us out." Ana says as Amanda hesitates.
"Okay." Amanda says as she leaves and goes to the cockpit.
She knocks on the door and says something inaudible to the copilot, who follows her back. Sam pulls out the holy water, Dean hands Ana, his father's journal who opens it.
"Yeah, what's the problem?" The copilot asks.
Dean punches him in the face, knocking him down. He pins him down and puts duct tape over his mouth.
Dean splashes holy water on his skin which sizzles. "Regna terrae, cantate Deo, psallite Domino..." Ana says as the demon breaks free briefly. Ana picked up where she left off. Ana recovers and begins reading again. She puts the book down and helps Dean pin down the demon who kicks the book up the aisle.
"I got him." Ana says as the demon exits the copilot's body and disappears into a vent. "Where did it go?" Ana asks.
"It's in the plane. Hurry up, we got to finish it." Ana says.
The plane suddenly dips and heaves violently. Ana struggles to retrieve the book as Dean splays himself against the exit door screaming. Ana manages to grab the book and reads the rest of the exorcism. A bright electrical charge runs through the entire plane, which then levels out. Various people ask if everyone's okay. Amanda sighs in relief, Dean comes out from behind the curtain, followed by Sam, as Ana stands up.
───※ ·❆· ※───
The passengers from the flight are disembarking to an area milling with uninformed agent. The copilot is seated in a wheelchair with a blanket wrapped around him and being questioned by an agent.
Amanda sees, Ana, Dean and Sam and she mouths, 'thank you', as they all nod their heads. "Let's get out of here." Dean says as Ana nods her head, as the couple have their hands interlocked with each other.
The three of them head for the exit. Ana is practically glued to Dean's side even as they exit. Dean knows when Ana is tense, and she is probably beyond that at this point. "You okay, babygirl?" Dean asks as he gives her hand a squeeze. He sees that Ana's gaze is on the ground, he also saw that her jaw clenched. "Hey, it's okay. We aren't on the plane anymore. It's okay, baby." Dean reassures her, as she shakes her head. That's when it was something more than that.
"It's not just that." Ana says, which makes the brothers stop walking along with Ana.
Dean and Sam turn their heads towards her, slightly confused by what she is talking about. "What's wrong, baby?" Dean asks her as he gave her hand another squeeze.
"When I was eight, um me and Dad were on an airplane, coming back from Seattle, and the um, the plane crashed, and um, there were no survivors besides me and Dad. Um, ever since then I um, uh hand a thing of swearing to myself that I wouldn't um, go back on an airplane. No matter what." Ana explains, as the brothers nod their heads at the redhead girl, beside them.
Dean furrows her eyebrows at what she said. He never knew that, at all. She never told him the reason why she was afraid of flying. He never wanted to push her to talk about it, and or anything. He didn't want to be that kind of boyfriend that forces his partner to talk about something that they don't want to talk about. He could tell that this still bothered Ana even years later. She got quiet after she told the brothers.
"Oh, God. I'm so sorry." Sam says to Ana as even though it was in the past she nods her head.
"So, that's why you have a fear of flying." Dean says to Ana as she nods her head as she kept her gaze to the ground. Dean stands in front of Ana, and he taps her chin, and she slowly raises her eyes to look at him.
"Yeah, basically, sums it up." Ana says to her boyfriend who didn't say anything as he just brought her into his arms as he rubbed her back, letting her know that it is okay.

"Nobody knows what you guys did, but I do. A lot of people could have been killed." Jerry says as he shakes their hands. "Your dad is going to be really proud."
"We'll see you around, Jerry." Sam says as Ana is beside Dean (go figure), he also knows that it will take a couple hours for Ana to fully calm down from what happened, mainly the plane, because she is still shaken up a little.
"You know Jerry. I meant to ask you, how did you get my cellphone number, anyway. I've only had it for like six months." Dean says to Jerry.
"Your dad gave it to me." Jerry says as Ana raises an eyebrow at what he said.
"What?" Sam asks.
"When did you talk to him?" Ana asks.
"I mean, I didn't exactly talk to him, but I called his number. His voice message said to give you a call. Thanks again, guys." Jerry says as he then leaves.
───※ ·❆· ※───
A plane with a red maple leaf on the tail flies overhead, as Ana keeps her head down so that she isn't looking at the airplanes. She can honestly say that she has had her full of planes for a very long time.
"This doesn't make any sense, man. I've called dad's number like fifty times. It's been out of service." Sam says.
Dean dials a number. As the voice message begins, he turns it to Sam so he can hear it too. "This is John Winchester. I can't be reached. If this is an emergency, call my son Dean. 785-555-0179. He can help."
Sam fumes and gets into the car, as Dean and Ana follow, and the car drives off. Ana sighs as this is going to be a very long car ride now.
