{hell house}

The impala cruises down a road. Dean is driving in the driver's seat. Ana is in the back seat braiding her hair in for the time being. She is mouthing the words to the song that is playing on the cassette tape. He looks over and sees Sam sleeping with his mouth open. He feels around then gently places a plastic spoon in Sam's mouth. Grinning, he flips open his phone and takes a photo, then turns the music up loud.

"Fire...of unknown origins...took my baby away!" Dean sung as Sam jerked awake.

He realizes something is in his mouth; he panics and waves his arms as he spits the spoon out. Dean air drums along to the song on the steering wheel and then looks over, grinning as Sam wipes his mouth and turns down the music.

"Ha, ha very funny." Sam says as Ana ties the hair tie on her braid.

"Sorry, not a lot of scenery here in East Texas. Kinda got to make our own." Dean says as Ana nods her head.

"Man, we're not kids anymore Dean. We're not going to start that crap up again." Sam says to his brother.

"Start what up?" Dean asks as he took a sip from Ana's Dr. Pepper that she gave him.

"That prank stuff. It's stupid and it always escalates." Sam says.

"Aw, what's the matter Sammy. Scared you're going to get a little Nair in your shampoo again, huh?" Dean asks his brother with a grin as Ana shook her head amused by this.

"Alright, just remember you started it." San says to Dean before he turned his head towards Ana. "Where are we?"

"A few hours outside of Richardson." Ana says to the youngest Winchester.

"Gimme the lowdown, baby?" Dean says to Ana.

"Uh, alright. About a month or two ago, this group of kids goes poking around in this local haunted house." Ana reads to the two Winchester brothers.

"Haunted by what?" Sam asks the red head.

"Apparently a pretty misogynistic spirit. Legend goes, it takes girls and strings them up in the rafters. Anyway, this group of kids see this dead girl hanging in the cellar." Ana explains.

"Anybody ID the corpse?" Dean asks as Ana shakes her head no.

"Well, that's the thing. By the time the cops got there the body was gone. So, cops are saying that the kids were just yanking chains." Ana says.

"Maybe the cops are right." Dean says.

"Maybe, but I read a couple of the kids firsthand accounts. They seemed pretty sincere." Ana says.

"Where'd you read these accounts?" Dean asks Ana, as she looks a little embarrassed. "Well, I knew we were going to be passing through Texas. So, um, last night, I surfed through some local...paranormal websites, and I found one."

"And what is it called." Dean asks.

"Uh, HellHoundsLair.com." Ana says sheepishly.

"Lemme guess, streaming live out of Mom's basement." Dean says to Ana.

"Yeah, probably." Ana says with a small grin on her face.

"Yeah, most of those websites wouldn't know a ghost if it bit 'em in the persqueeter." Dean says.

"Look, we left Dad take off. Which was a mistake, by the way. And now we don't know where the hell he is. So, in the meantime we gotta find ourselves something to hunt. There's no harm checking this thing out." Sam says butting into the conversation between the couple.

"Alright, so where do we find these kids?" Dean asks.

"Same place you always find kids in a town like this." Ana says.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them walk into a music shop. Ana and Dean's hands are interlocked as like always he is softly rubbing her knuckles with his thumb.

"Fellas. Can I help you with anything?" A guy who Ana is assuming named Craig asks as he is behind the counter.

"Are you Craig Thurston?" Sam sats as Ana unwraps a sucker and puts it in her mouth.

"I am." Craig says.

"Well, we're reporters with the Dallas Morning News. I'm Dean, this is Ana, and this is Sam." Dean introduces as Ana has a little wave to Craig.

"No, way. Well, I'm a writer too. I write for my school's LIT magazine." Craig says.

"Well, good for you Morrissey." Dean says as Ana was looking at some of the records nearby.

"Umm. We're doing an article on local hauntings and rumor has it you might know one of them." Sam says.

"You mean the Hell House?" Craig asks.

"That's the one." Dean says.

"I didn't think there was anything to the story." Craig says.

"Why don't you tell us the story." Ana says to Craig.

"Well, supposedly back in the '30s this farmer, Mordachai Murdoch, used to live in this house with his six daughters. It was during the Depression, his crops were failing, he didn't have enough money to feed his own children. So, I guess that's when he went off the deep end." Craig says as Ana thinks for a moment before she looks confused.

"How?" Ana asks Craig.

"Well, he figured it was best if his girls died quick, rather than starve to death. So, he attacked them. They screamed, begged for him to stop but he just strung 'em up, one after the other. And when he was all finished, he just turned around and hung himself. Now they say that his spirit is trapped in the house forever, stringing up any other girl that goes inside." Craig says.

"Where'd you hear all this?" Ana asks.

"My cousin Dana told me. I don't know where she heard it from. Ya gotta realize, I -- I didn't believe it for a second." Craig says.

"But now you do." Sam says.

"I don't know what the hell to think, man. You guys, I-I'll tell you exactly what I told the police, okay? That girl was real. And she was dead. This was not a prank. I swear to God, I don't wanna go anywhere near that house ever again, ok?" Craig says.

"Thanks." Ana mumbles as the three of them walked out of the store.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them drive up the muddy path of the house. Yes, it looked creepy, but it isn't that creepy. Then again, Ana has seen worse haunted houses.

"Can't say I don't blame the kid." Sam says.

"Yeah, so much for curb appeal." Dean says as Ana is holding an EMF meter which is making sounds but nothing spirity and or ghosty.

"You got somethin' baby?" Dean asks her, as she shook her head.

"Nada." Ana says as she continues to walk around the place. "The EMF is no good."

"Why?" Sam asks the red head.

"I think that thing's still got a little juice in it. It's screwing with all the readings." Dean says as he gestures to an overhead power line.

"Yeah, that'd do it." Sam says.

"Yeah, come on. Let's go." Dean says as the three of them head inside and start looking around. "Looks like old man Murdock was a bit of a tagger here in his time." Dean says whistling as all around them, there is graffiti.

"And after his time too." Ana says. "That reverse cross has been used by Satanists for centuries, but this sigil of sulfur didn't show up in San Francisco until the '60s."

"Hey, what about this one, baby? You seen this one before?" Dean asks as he gestures at a symbol. It is a cross with a dot in the middle. The bottom stroke looks like an upside-down question mark.

"No, shockingly, I haven't and that says a lot." Ana says as Dean was a little shocked because that was a definite shock. Because Ana is a 'lore geek', and would geek out about different lore, ranging from different topics and categories. Ana rubs the symbol. "It's paint. Seems pretty fresh too."

"I don't know, Annie. You know I hate to agree with authority figures of any kind but...the cops might be right about this one." Dean says.

"Listen, if this hunt is the stupidest thing we have ever done. I am so sorry." Ana says as then there was a noise that made the three of them on alert.

They take up positions either side of the door. Dean nods as they burst through the door. A bright light shines in their eyes.

"Oh, cut, it's just a coupla humans." The first guy says as the first guy holds a small electrical gadget, and the other guy holds a camera which he switches off. "What are you guys doing here?"

"We should be asking you the same thing." Ana says.

"Ah-ha-ha. We belong here; we're professionals?" The first guy says.

"Professional what?" Dean asks the two men, as he stands protectively in front of Ana.

"Paranormal investigators." The first guy says as he hands the three of them business cards. "There you go, take a look at that, boys."

"Oh, you gotta be shitting me." Dean says.

"Ed Zeddmore and Harry Spengler? Hellhourslair.com. You guys run that website." Ana says.

"Yeah." Ed says.

"Oh, yeah, yeah, we're huge fans." Dean says as Ana gave him a side-eyed look and he only responded with a look that says 'just go along with it' she slowly nodded her head.

"And hah, we know who you guys are too." Ed says.

The three of them eye the other two guys sharply. "Oh, yeah?" Sam asks.

"Amateurs." Ed mumbles as Dean and Ana both lose interest. "Looking for ghosts and cheap thrills."

"Yep. So, if you guys don't mind, we're trying to conduct a serious scientific investigation here." Harry says.

"Yeah, what have you got so far?" Ana asks.

"Harry, why doncha tell 'em about EMF?" Ed says to Harry.

"Well...." Harry says, as Ana raises an eyebrow.

Sam is clearly playing dumb and trying not to smile. "EMF?" He asks.

"Electromagnetic field? Spectral entities can cause energy fluctuations that can be read with an EMF detector. Like this bad boy right here." Harry says as he turns on his and Ed's EMF meter as Dean smirks at Sam.

"Whoa. Whoa. It's 2.8mg." Harry says.

"2.8. It's hot in here." Ed says as Dean whistles in admiration. Ana leans her head onto Dean's shoulder.

"Wow." Sam says with a small smile.

"Huh. So, you guys ever really seen a ghost before, or..." Dean asks.

"Once. We were, uh...we were investigating this old house, and we saw a vase fall right off the table." Ed says.

"By itself." Harry says.

"Well, we, we we we didn't actually see it, we heard it. And something like that...it uh....it changes you." Ed says as Ana gives Dean a look.

"Yeah. I think I get the picture. We should go, let them get back to work." Dean says as him, Sam and Ana make their way out of the house.

───※ ·❆· ※───

Sam exists the public library that is in town and comes down the stairs as Dean and Ana approaches. "Hey."

"Hey, what did you get?" Dean asks.

"Well, I couldn't find a Mordechai, but I did find a Martin Murdock who lived in that house in the '30s. He did have children but only two of them, both boys, and there's no evidence he ever killed anyone." Sam says.

"Huh." Dean says as he has an arm around Ana.

"What about you?" Sam asks as the three of them reached the Impala and stand over talking.

"Well, those kids didn't really give us a clear description of that dead girl, but I did hit up the police station. No matching missing persons. It's like she never existed. Dude, come on, we did our digging, this one's a bust alright. For all we know those Hell Hound boys made the whole thing up." Dean says as Ana looked down a little. This whole hunt was her idea, and look what happened, it's like the girl never existed. "I say we find ourselves a bar and some beers and leave the legend to the locals." Dean gets into the car and Ana leans down smiling as she is looking into the window.

Dean turns the key into the ignition. Latino pop-dance music blasts through the speakers, when Dean tries to turn it off, the wipers turn on. "WHOA! What the..." He quickly reaches to turn everything off.

Ana gets in, laughing. She licks her finger and marks an imaginary '1' in the air and then points to herself. Dean gives her a dirty look from the rear window. "That's all you got, Annie? Weak. That is bush league."

Not once did Dean ever think that Ana would prank him, as she isn't a pranker. But this was new really new. He sorta liked it because he has someone else to prank that isn't Sam. It is now so on.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The next morning, there had been an actual killing this time. There are emergency vehicles around, as the paramedics move the girl's body that is on a stretcher. The three of them approach a man standing outside.

"What happened?" Ana asks.

"A coupla cops say a girl hung herself in the house." A man says.

"Suicide?" Sam asks.

"Yeah. She was a straight A student, with a full ride to UT too. It just doesn't make sense." The man says as he then walks away.

"Whaddaya think?" Sam asks.

"I think maybe we missed something." Dean says.

.....

It is now nighttime and the three of them are back at the Hell House. A police car is parked outside, Sam, Ana and Dean crouch in the bushes.

"I guess the cops don't want more kids screwing around in there." Ana says to Dean.

"Yeah, but we gotta get in there." Dean says as Ana's ears perk up at hearing whispers and peeks from their hiding place. "I don't believe it." Sam spins around to look. Ed and Harry are approaching, hunched over, wearing all sorta of gadgets, whispering and shushing each other.

"I got an idea." Dean says as he rises slightly turns towards the cops and cups a hand over his mouth. "Who ya gonna call!"

"Wha...huh?"

The cops then chase Ed and Harry back down the path. The Winchester brothers and Ana make a break for the house. Once inside Ana breaks out the rifles, heading one to Dean and Sam. Dean turns on a flashlight.

"Where have I seen that symbol before? It's bugging me!" He says.

"Come on, we don't have much time." Sam says as the three of them go down to the basement and look around. Dean spies the jars and picks one up for a closer look. A pale red liquid sloshes around inside.

"Hey, Sam. I dare you to take a swig of this." Dean says to his brother.

"What the hell would I do that for?" Sam asks his older brother.

"....I double dare you." Dean says as Sam just shakes his head looking away, as Dean grins. Ana hits Dean up the head. He rubs the back of his head where he got hit by Ana. "That doesn't mean you can hit me, Annie."

A noise has the three of them on alert and they move towards the cabinet. Sam opens the cabinet, and rats squeak and run from the flashlight.

"I hate rats." Dean says as he lifts to his feet.

"You'd rather it was a ghost?" Sam asks.

"Uh guys." Ana says as the brothers turn around and a spirit had appeared as it was Mordechai. Ana shoots the spirit twice but he's still there. Dean shoots him again and he mists away.

"What the hell kind of spirit is immune to rock salt?" Sam asks.

"I dunno. Come on. Come on!"

The three of them run towards the stairs Mordechai smashes his axe down, catching the shelves and bringing the jars crashing down on Dean. Mordechai and Sam begin fighting, Ana rushes towards Dean, helping him up.

"Go! Get outta here!" Sam yells as Mordechai smashes an electrical box and sparks fly everywhere as the three of them bolt for the door.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are in the motel, Dean is on the bed drawing the symbol, Ana is sitting next to Dean doing research along with Sam who is at the table.

"What the hell is this symbol? It's buggin' the hell outta me. This whole damn job's buggin' me. I thought the legend said Mordechai only goes after chicks." Dean says as Ana's head is on Dean's shoulder.

"It does." Sam says.

"Alright. Well, I mean that explains why he went after you, but why me?" Dean asks.

"Hilarious." Sam grumbles.

"The legend also says that he hung himself, but did you see those slit wrists?" Ana says.

"Yeah." Dean says.

"What's up with that? And the axe too. I mean, ghosts are usually pretty strict. Following the same patterns over and over. But this douche keeps changing." Ana says, as she is clicking away on her laptop. "I'm telling ya, the way the story goes...wait a minute."

"What, baby?" Dean asks.

"Someone added a new post to the Hell Hound site. Listen to this. 'They say Mordechai Murdock was really a Satanist who chopped up his victims with an axe before slitting his own wrists. Now he's imprisoned in the house for eternity'."

Dean is still staring at the symbol he has drawn. Then he suddenly sits straight up. "Where the hell is this going?" Sam asks.

"I don't know, but I think I might have just figured out where it all started." Dean says.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are walking into the music store as Ana sees Craig sitting at the counter looking depressed. "Hey, Craig? Remember us?"

"Guys, look I'm not really in the mood to answer any of your questions, okay?" Craig says as Ana flicks through the records.

"Oh, don't worry. We're just here to buy an album, that's all." Dean says as he stands next to Ana. "You know I couldn't figure out what that symbol was and then I realized that it doesn't mean anything. It's the logo for the Blue Oyster Cult."

"Tell me Craig, you, uh, you into BOC? Or just scaring the hell outta people? Now why don't you tell us about that house.... without lying through your ass this time."

"Alright, um. My cousin Dana was on break from TCU. Ah, I guess we were just bored, looking for something to do. So, I showed her this abandoned building, I found. We thought it would be funny if we made it look like it was haunted. So, we painted symbols on the walls, some from album covers, some from Dana's theology textbooks. Then we found out this guy Murdock used to live there so we...we made up some story to go along with that. So, they told people, who told other people, and then those two guys put it on their stupid website. Everything just took a life of its own. I mean I; I thought it was funny at first but... now that girl's dead! It was just a joke, you know. I mean, none of it was real, we made the whole thing up. I swear!"

"Alright." Ana says as she looks either pissed and or annoyed, as her arms were crossed over her chest. The three of them then turned to leave. "If none of this thing was real, then how the hell do you explain Mordechai?"

───※ ·❆· ※───

Sam is in the motel room looking at his computer, Ana is in the shower. Dean enters and walks over to his and Ana's bed. He lifts up a packet labeled 'itching powder'.

"Hey, baby. I'm back." Dean calls out to Ana as Sam looks up from his computer and sees what Dean has in his hand. Dean turns to his brother with a warning look. "You say anything you are dead."

"Hey, where were you?" Ana asks.

"Oh, I went out." Dean says as he picks up Ana's leggings that she has, and he shakes the content of the packet on her pants.

"So, I think I might have a theory about what's going on." Ana says from the shower as the shower then turns off.

"Oh yeah?" Dean asks.

"What if Mordechai is a Tulpa?" Ana asks.

"Tulpa?" Dean asks confused as Ana the emerges from the bathroom, wearing a towel around her body.

"Yeah, a Tibetan thought form." Ana says, as Dean swings around hastily.

"Yeah. I know what a Tulpa is. Hey, why don't you get dressed, I wanna go grab something to eat." Dean says as he enters the bathroom, smiling at Ana he closes the door.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are at an eating house, Ana got her iced coffee, the brothers got their regular hot coffee. Ana has and will always be an iced coffee kind of girl. After they got their coffees, they make their way to a table. Ana is grimacing and adjusting her leggings which are underneath her ripped jeans.

"What's your problem?" Dean asks as Sam is in front of Dean.

"Nothing, I'm fine." Ana grumbles.

"You sure?" Dean asks as Ana didn't see that the curve of his lips formed. Sam kicked his brother's leg, which made the smile drop from Dean's lips.

"What about these Tulpa's?" Sam asks changing the subject.

"So, there was this incident in Tibet in 1915. Group of monks visualized a golem in their head. The meditated on it so hard they brought it to life. Outta thin air. That was 20 monks. Imagine what 10,000 web surfers could do. I mean Craig starts the story about Mordechai, then it spreads, goes online. Now there are countless people all over believing in the bastard." Ana explains to the two brothers.

"Now wait a second. Are you trying to tell us that just because people believe in Mordechai, that he's real?" Dean asks, as Ana shifts in her seat.

"I dunno, maybe." Ana says.

"People believe in Santa Claus -- how come I'm not getting hooked up every Christmas?" Dean asks.

"For starters, you have me stupid.... and because of this." Ana says as he turns her laptop showing Dean a photo of one of the Hell House symbols. "That's a Tibetan spirit sigil. One of the walls of the house. Craig said they were painting symbols from a theology textbook. I bet they painted this, not even knowing what it was. Now that sigil has been used for centuries, concentrating meditative thoughts like a magnifying glass. So, people are on the HellHounds website, staring at the symbol thinking about Mordechai... I mean I don't know, but it might be enough to bring a Tulpa to life."

"It would explain why he keeps changing." Dean says.

Ana grimaces as she adjusts herself yet again. "Right, as the legend changes, people think different things, so Mordechai himself changes. Like a game of telephone. That would also explain why the rock salt didn't work."

"That's because he's not a traditional spirit." Dean says.

"Yeah." Ana says as she continues to shift in her seat.

"Okay, so, why don't we just get this spirit sigil thingie off the wall and off the website." Dean suggests.

"Well, it's not that simple. You see, once Tulpa's are created they take on a life of their own." Ana says to Dean.

"Great. So, if he really is a thought form how the hell are we supposed to kill an idea?" Dean asks.

Ana is still itching and adjusting as when she isn't looking at him, Sam has a small smile. "Well, it's not gonna be easy with those idiots helping us. Check out their home page." She shows Dean footage from the previous night. "Since, they've posted the video their number of hits have quadrupled in the last day alone."

"I got an idea. Come on." Dean says after a couple moments.

"Where are we going?" Ana asks, as she grabs her computer.

"We gotta find a copy store." Dean says as the three of them rise to get up and leave.

"Man, I think I'm allergic to our soap or something." Ana says as Dean laughs as he walks away laughing.

"Just know I had nothing to do with this." Sam says to Ana.

"You did this?" Ana asks as it was obvious that it wasn't directed at Sam, but Dean. "You're screwed; it's on lover boy." She seethes as like always when Dean does something, she punches his shoulder.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are at the trailer park where Harry and Ed live, and Ana pounds on the door. The two guys stick their heads out the door. "Ah, look at that the two blithering idiots in their natural habitat. What a shock." Ana seethes as the two boys jumped.

"Annie, behave." Dean says to Ana as she gives him a side-eyed look.

"Guys, we need to talk." Sam says to the two other guys.

"Sorry guys, and girl. We're uh, a little busy right now." Ed says.

"Okay, well, we'll make it quick. We need you to shut down your website." Dean says as he has an arm around Ana.

"Man, you know, these guys got us busted last night, spent the night in a holding cell." Ed says laughing a little.

"Eh, nothing compared of spending eight months in juvie. It's fine. You'll live." Ana retorts to Ed.

"I had to pee in that cell urinal. In front of people. And I get stage fright." Harry says as Ana rolls her eyes as she is completely done with these two idiots.

"Why should we trust you guys, and the girl? Which scares me." Ed says.

"Good." Ana seethed through her teeth.

"Look, guys. We all know what we saw last night, what's in the house. But now thanks to your website there are thousands of people hearing about Mordechai." Sam says trying to reason with the two idiots.

"That's right. Which means people are gonna keep showing up at the Hell House, running into him in person, and somebody could get hurt." Dean says.

"Yeah, yeah..." Ed says.

"Ed, maybe he's got a point, maybe." Harry says.

"Nope."

"No."

"We have an obligation to our fans, to the truth." Ed says.

"Well, I have an obligation to kick both your little asses right now --" Ana says as she was held by Dean.

"Ana -- Ana, hey, hey, calm down." Sam says to her. "These guys, probably bitch slap them both, I could probably even tell them that thing about Mordechai... but they're still not gonna help us. Let's go."

"Whoa...whoa..." Harry and Ed say in unison.

"Yeah, you're right." Dean says as he still had a tight grip on Ana from keeping her from lunging at Harry and Ed.

The three of them start to walk away with Ed and Harry trialing behind like lost poppies. "What you say about...?"

"Hang on a second here." Harry says.

"Wait...wait." Ed says.

"What thing about Mordechi you guys?" Harry asks.

"Don't tell 'em Sam." Dean says.

"But if they agree to shut down the website down Dean." Sam says to his brother.

"They're not going to do it, you said so yourself." Dean says.

"No, wait. Wait. Don't listen to him, okay? We'll do it. We'll do it." Ed says.

"It's a secret, Sam." Dean says.

"Look, it is a really big deal alright. It wasn't easy to dig up. So, only if we have your word that you'll shut everything down." Sam says to Ed and Harry.

"Totally." Ed says.

"Alright." Sam says as Dean hands him some paperwork. "It's a death certificate. From the '30s. We got it at the library. Now according to the coroner, the actual cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound." Sam says.

"That's right, he didn't hang nor cut himself." Dean says.

"He shot himself?" Ed asks.

"Yep, it a .45 pistol. To this day they say he's terrified of them." Sam says.

"Matter of fact they say if you shoot him with a .45, loaded with these special wrought-iron rounds -- it'll kill the son of a bitch." Dean says, as Ed and Harry snigger gleefully.

Harry spins and bolts back to the trailer as Ed follows him more slowly. "Harry. Slow your roll buddy. They're gonna think we're excited."

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them are sitting in a booth. Sam and Ana are looking at their laptops, Dean reaches up to the 3D artwork of a fisherman holding a big fish and pulls the cord. The fisherman's mouth moves up and down as an extremely annoying laugh play.

Sam pulls the cord to stop it. "If you pull that string one more time, I'm gonna kill you." He says to his brother.

"Please do kill him. He deserves it." Ana grumbles under her breath as she takes a drink from her Dr. Pepper like always. Dean deadpans and stares at Sam while pulling the cord again, as Sam immediately stops it, glaring at Dean.

"Come on man, you need more laughter in your life. You know, you're way too tense." Dean says snickering as Ana isn't entirely paying attention as she is playing a game on her computer.

Sam gives Dean another dirty look, as Dean sighs. "Did they post it yet?" He asks, as Sam moves his laptop around so Dean can see it and Sam stabs his salad angrily.

"What did that salad ever do to you?" Ana asks the youngest Winchester.

"We've learned from reputable sources that Mordechai Murdock has a fatal fear of firearms. Alright. How long do we wait?" Dean says.

"Long enough for the new story to spread, and the legend to change. I figure by nightfall the iron rounds will work on the sucker." Sam says as he holds his beer out to Dean, who lifts his own and taps it.

"Sweet." Dean says as he takes a long drink, and both Ana and Sam start grinning. Dean goes to put the bottle down and it is stuck to his hand. Sam cracks up as Dean stares at it confused.

"Okay, which one of you did it?" Dean asks as before Sam could say anything, Ana pointed a finger at Sam. "You didn't."

Sam is laughing as he holds up a small thing of super glue. "Oh, I did!" Dean shakes his head while Sam, laughs pulling the string to set the fisherman laughing again.

───※ ·❆· ※───

The three of them enter the Hell House on alert, the three of them have their guns drawn, they begin a methodical search staying back-to-back. Dean readjusts his gun in hand.

"I barely have any skin left on my palm." Dean snarkly says.

"I'm not touching that line with a ten-foot pole." Sam says as Dean shines his flashlight in Sam's face until he winces. Then moves into the other room, as Sam and Ana follow him.

"Do, you think old Mordechai's home?" Ana asks.

"I don't know." Sam says.

"Me either." A voice says from behind as Ana had pulled the trigger without noticing it was Ed and Harry.

"WHOA! WHOA!"

"What are you tryina do, get yourself killed?" Ana asks.

"We're just trying to get a book and movie deal, okay?" Ed says as from the basement comes the sound of knives being sharpened.

The Winchester brothers and Ana are immediately back on alert. "Oh crap." Ed says as Ed and Harry crowd in close behind Sam and Ana with their camera. "Ah, guys, you wanna... you wanna open that door for us?"

"Why don't one of you blithering idiots do it?" Ana retorts.

Mordechai bursts through the door holding an axe and screams. Ana and the Winchester brothers empty their gun chambers. Mordechai holds on, then wavers, and disappears into mist. The three of them take off to ensure the other rooms are clear.

Moments later Mordechai appears, and slams his axe though the camera, forcing Harry to the ground and disappears again. "Didn't you guys post that B.S. story we gave you?" Dean asks.

"Of course, we did." Ed says as Sam and Ana appear in the other door with both of their guns ready.

"But then the server crashed." Harry says.

"Yeah." Ed says.

"So, it didn't take?" Dean asks.

"Uh...mmm..." Harry and Ed say.

"So, these, guns don't work." Ana says raising her gun a little shaking it.

"Yeah." Ed says.

"Great. Any ideas?" Ana asks either Dean or Sam.

"We are getting outta here." Harry says.

"Yeah, come on." Ed says.

Harry and Ed run past Ana to the other room, where Mordechai appears again. Screaming, they run to the front door, but it is locked, as Mordechai follows them.

"Jesus Mary and Joseph." Harry says under his breath.

"The power of Christ compels you; the power of Christ compels you. THE POWER OF CHRIST COMEPELS YOU!"

"Hey! Come and get it you son of a bitch." Ana says behind Harry and Ed.

They fight until Mordechai pins Ana against the wall, an axe across her throat. "Get out of here, now!" Ana says to Harry and Ed.

Dean is in the other room splashing kerosene everywhere. Mordechai lifts Ana easily off her feet with the pressure of the axe at her throat. "Dean!" Ana yells gasping as Dean appears.

"HEY!" Dean says as he holds up a spray bottle and lights the gas. "Go! Go! Go!" Ana runs past Dean, as he follows her, pulling Ana as he stops and leans over, holding his throat. "Mordechai can't leave the house, we can't kill him -- we improvise."

Dean holds up his lighter, flicks it, and throws it back into the room. It bursts into flames and the couple run outside. Sam follows the two.

"That's your solution? Burn the whole damn place to the ground?" Ana asks.

"Well, nobody will go in anymore. I mean look, Annie, Mordechai can't haunt a house if there's no house to haunt, it's fast and dirty but hey it works."

"God, you're crazy." Ana says as Dean only smirks at Ana.

"You're the one who is dating crazy." Dean says as he presses a soft kiss on Ana's head, glad that she is okay.

"Dean, what if the legend changes again and Mordechai is allowed to leave the house?" Ana asks.

"Well -- well then we'll just have to come back." Dean says as the three of them watch the house burn.

"Kinda makes you wonder. Of all the things we hunted, how many existed just 'cause people believed in them." Sam says.

The three of them are hanging out by a picnic table at the trailer park where Ed and Harry live. Ed and Harry approach carrying grocery bags.

"I was thinking that Mordechai has a really super high attack bonus." Harry says.

"Man, I got the munchies right now." Ed says.

"Gentlemen, and girl." The two idiots say.

"Hey guys." Sam greets.

"Should we tell 'em." Harry says as Dean has an arm around Ana.

"Hey, might as well, you know, they're going to read about it in the trades." Ed says.

"So, this morning we got a phone call from a very important Hollywood producer." Harry says.

"Oh, yeah, wrong number?" Dean asks, with a small smile.

"No, smart-ass. He read all about the Hell House on our website and wants to option the motion picture rights. Maybe even have us write it." Ed says as Ana raises her eyebrows.

"And create the RPG." Harry says as Ana nods her head understanding.

"The what?" Dean asks.

"Role playing game." Ana says.

"Right." Dean says to his girlfriend.

"A little lingo for you. Anyhoo, excuse us, we're off to la-la-land." ed says.

"Well congratulations, guys. That sounds really great." Sam says.

"Yeah. That's awesome, best of luck to both of you." Dean says as Ana rolled her eyes a little.

"Oh, yeah, luck. That has nothing to do with it. It's about talent. Sheer unabashed talent." Ed says. "Later."

The three of them are watching them leave, as Ana takes a sigh of relief. "I thought they would never leave." Ana says.

"Wow." Dean says watching Harry and Ed leave.

"I have a confession to make." Ana says.

"What's that?" Dean asks Ana, as the three of them are walking to the Impala.

"I, uh...I was the one that called them and told them I was a producer." Ana says.

"Yeah, well, I'm the one who put the dead fish in their back seat." Dean says laughing.

The three of them laugh. "Truce?" Ana says as her back was on the Impala, as Dean has his hands on her sides.

"Yeah, truce..." He says as he kisses her lips with a cheeky grin on his face. "At least for the next 100 miles." He says smirking into the kiss, as his grip on her sides tighten a little.

"Get a room, you two." Sam says from inside the car as all what Ana did was flip off the younger Winchester.

"Maybe, since you're cute, maybe I can be more lenient on you. But if you ever, ever prank me again. You won't be so lucky." Dean says smirking into the kiss as Ana had her arms around his neck as her back was pressed against the Impala.
