{bloodlust - part two}
Ana is walking down a dark sidewalk as she took a deep breath, as she can't believe that her and Dean had actually broken up. It is tearing her inside her heart, because Dean was her heart, it was like her heart had broken when the reality of what was said. She grabs her phone from her pocket and sees that she had a message from Dean, but she didn't look at it, instead she deleted the message.
She finds Amelia's number and didn't hesitate to call her; she needed to leave. She needed to get out of the town, right now. She wants to cry but not now, not when she is in an unfamiliar town, in an unfamiliar state, with no one around besides late night people. Without Dean nor Sam around, she is vulnerable to get kidnapped, and bad stuff happening to her. "I need you to come pick me up, I can't.... I need to leave, Mia."
"I'm on my way." Was what Amelia said.

"You think he went after them?" Sam asked his brother.
"Probably." Dean says.
"Dean, we have to stop him." Sam says to his brother.
"Really, Sam? Because I say we lend a hand." Dean says to his brother.
"Just give me the benefit of the doubt, would you? You owe me that." Sam says. "I should've gone with Ana." He says under his breath, but it was loud enough for Dean to hear it, but right now he ignored what his brother said.
"I'll drive. Give me the keys." Dean says as Sam points to the table where he'd set them earlier, when him and Ana came back from the bar, but they're gone.
"He snaked the keys."
Dean is hotwiring his car and grimacing. "I can't believe this. I just fixed her up, too." Dean says as the car starts. "So, the bridge is that, uh, is that all you got?"
"The bridge was four and a half minutes from their farm." Sam says.
"How do you know?" Dean asks.
"I counted." Sam says as he's tracing a path on the map on his lap. "They took a left out of the farm, then turned right on a dirt road, followed that for two minutes slightly up a hill, then took another quick right and we hit the bridge." Sam says.
"You're good. You're a monster pain in the ass, but you're good."
───※ ·❆· ※───
As the brothers are driving all Dean can think about is what happened between him and Ana. After three years of being together, they broke up. He didn't actually think that she'd break up with him, and if he is being honest, she wasn't wrong. But he isn't going to admit it. "You think she actually left?" Dean asks his brother in the car, as Sam looks up at his brother.
"You heard her, she left Dean, and quite frankly I don't blame her for leaving."
"Oh, so you're on her side, of this? Why didn't you leave when she did. You had an opportunity of leaving and you didn't." Dean says to his brother. "You said it yourself in the motel, you wished you had left with Ana."
"Can we not talk about this, Dean."
"No, we're going to be talking about this Sam." Dean says to his brother, as he turned his eyes back to the road.

Lenore is packing things into boxes as Eli comes in and sets a box on the table. "In the truck, thank you."
"We can't leave like this. Lenore. Listen to me, we need to stay and fight." Eli says.
"They're my friends too, Eli, my family." Lenore says.
"That's not what I'm talking about. This is self-defense. Kill or be killed. They can't hunt us if they're dead." Eli says.
"Killing those four won't solve anything. There's more where they came from. We're outnumbered. This. This is all we can do. Try and reason--" Lenore says but Eli stopped her.
"You can't reason with these people. They're going to kill us all anyway. We should at least take a few of them with us." Eli says.
"I'm not giving up hope. If we can change, then they can change. Now go into town and gather the others. We leave before sunrise."
───※ ·❆· ※───
Ana was in Amelia's car, as they were driving back to her apartment, and if Ana is being honest, she knows that what she had said was a tad hurtful, but she was just sick and tired of Dean taking sides with Gordon Walker, and doing this and that, because that's what Gordon said. This was the first time that him and Ana have broken up in the four years that they've been together, which is hard to believe, but those have been the best four years of her life. Yes, her and Dean have had their share of troubles, but nothing leading towards them breaking up. She also knows that sometimes the girlfriend needs a temporarily break from her boyfriend, and this is apparently Ana's break from Dean.
"Mia, you know how sometimes girls needs a break from her boyfriend?" Ana randomly asked which made Amelia snicker a little, but then her smirk dropped when she heard the slight seriousness in Ana's voice.
She nods her head at what her best friend had said, as she turned her blinker on and made a right turn, on a long dark road, leading to who knows where. "Yeah, I do."
"How are you and Damon?" Ana asks which makes Amelia groan a little at the question, which makes the corners of Ana's lips curl up a little. "Either nothing good, or you don't wanna talk about it?"
Amelia did a so-so gesture in the dark of her car, as she shrugged her shoulders at what Ana had said. "Eh, little bit of both. But in all honesty, we don't know if we are in love or falling out of love."
Ana's eyebrows raise at hearing this from Amelia, she has heard a lot of stuff, and quite frankly she thought that things were going really good in Amelia and Damon's relationship. She thought that Damon was perfect for Amelia, like they were good for each other, but maybe she was wrong at that. "I mean, guys are stupid, trust me. How I know that I am dating stupid."
"So, are you and Dean going to actually break up? Or is this temporary split going to be temporary?" Amelia asks as Ana shrugs her shoulders, as she took a deep breath at what Amelia had said.
"Honestly, I hope it is temporary, but it also gives us sometime do you know get our thoughts and shit together. Maybe just maybe when he finishes up the hunt with the whole vampire thing then maybe just maybe we will get back together, but at this point I don't know." Ana says to Amelia as her friend despite being in the dark nods her head at what Ana is saying.
"Well, until Dean figures out what the hell he is going to do, how about we just spend time together, just the two of us. Without any guys, just us."
"Sounds good to me, I need peace along with the quiet."
"Same." Amelia says as the two girls laugh for a couple seconds, glad that they are finally together, as they don't really see each other as much as they hope to.
───※ ·❆· ※───
Gordon's red car crosses the bridge that Sam and Ana were on as they got kidnapped and then turns on a small road. Some ways behind him, is Sam and Dean in the impala. Sam sighs, staring at the map, Dean glances at him, then looks back to the road. Sam already knows that Dean isn't just thinking about the hunt but is also thinking about Ana and if she is okay. Or where she is, Dean knows that Ana is going to be okay, as she knows how to protect herself as that's what Bobby had taught her. Self-defense.
At the farmhouse, Lenore comes out of the house with a box and then sets it on the flatbed of a truck. She turns and Gordon is there, he grabs her, raises a knife that glistens with blood. He stabs it into her chest, as her body goes limp. "Dead man's blood, bitch."
Gordon then dips the knife into a jar of blood, Lenore is tied up to a chair nearby, covered in cuts, is pale and sickly. He circles around her, slides the bloody knife across her chest, she groans as that's when Sam and Dean arrive.
"Sam, Dean, come on in." Gordon says to the two brothers, then that's when he notices the absence of Ana. "Where's the pretty red head, the sassy one?"
"She's gone." Sam says to the man in front of him.
"What's going on?" Dean asks.
"Just poisoning Lenore with some dead man's blood. She's going to tell us where her little friends are, aren't you? Wanna help?" Gordon says to Dean as his eyes go back and forth of Gordon and Lenore.
"Look, man--" Dean says but he got interrupted by Gordon.
"Grab a knife. I was just about to start in on the fingers." Gordon says to the eldest Winchester as he drags the knife across her arm, as her veins trace away from the cut.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, let's all just chill out, huh?" Dean says to Gordon.
"I'm completely chill." Gordon says.
"Gordon, put the knife down." Sam says as he steps towards Gordon as Dean stops him with a hand on his chest.
"Sounds like it's Sam who needs to chill." Gordon says as Sam tries not to roll his eyes at Gordon.
"Just step away from her, all right?" Sam asks Gordon.
"You're right. I'm wasting my time here. This bitch will never talk. Might as well put her out of her misery." Gordon says as he pulls out a larger knife. "I just sharpened it, so it's completely humane." Gordon turns towards Lenore as Sam steps to block him.
"Gordon, I'm letting her go." Sam says as Gordon points the knife at Sam's chest, stopping him. "You're not doing a damn thing."
"Hey, hey, hey, Gordon, let's talk about this." Dean says to Gordon.
"What's there to talk about? It's like I said, Dean. No shades of gray." Gordon says.
"Yeah, I hear ya. And I know how you feel." Dean says as Gordon looks at the older Winchester brother.
"Do you?" Gordon asks Dean.
"That vampire that killed your sister deserved to die, but this one..." Dean says to Gordon.
Gordon laughs. "Killed my sister? That filthy fang didn't kill my sister. It turned her. It made her one of them. So, I hunted her down, and I killed her myself."
"You did what?" Dean asks in disbelief.
"It wasn't my sister anymore, it wasn't human. I didn't blink. And neither would you." Gordon says.
"So, you knew all along, then? You knew about the vampires, you knew they weren't killing anyone. You knew about the cattle. And you just didn't care." Sam says realizing.
"Care about what? A nest of vampires suddenly acting nice? Taking a little time out from sucking innocent people? And we're supposed to buy that? Trust me. Doesn't change what they are, and I can prove it." Gordon says, as he grabs Sam's arm and slices the knife across it, then lays the knife against his throat, dragging him towards Lenore, as Dean pulls his gun.
"Let him go, now!" Dean says to Gordon.
"Relax. If I wanted to kill him, he'd already be on the floor. Just making a little point." Gordon says as he holds the cut on Sam's arm over Lenore, so the blood drips on her face. She hisses as her fangs extends.
"Hey!" Dean exclaims.
"You think she's so different? Still want to save her? Look at her. They're all the same. Evil and bloodthirsty." Gordon says as Lenore controls herself, retracting her fangs and turns her face away.
"No. No." Lenore says.
"You hear her, Gordon?" Sam says to Gordon.
"No! No!" Lenore exclaims as Sam pushes the knife away from his throat and pushes Gordon away.
"We're done here." Sam says.
"Sam, get her out of here." Dean orders.
"Yeah." Sam says as he picks Lenore up in his arms, Gordon takes a step towards Sam, but Dean still has the gun trained on him.
"Uh-uh. Uh-uh!" Dean warns Gordon from interfering with Sam. "Gordon, I think you and I've got some things to talk about."
"Get out of my way." Gordon says.
"Sorry." Dean says.
"You're not serious." Gordon says.
"I'm having a hard time believing it too, but I know what I saw. If you want those vampires, you gotta go through me." Dean says as Gordon nods his head considering. He looks at his knife, then jams it into the table.
"Fine." Gordon says as Dean looks at the knife, looks at his gun. He pulls the clip out of the gun and sets it aside. Gordon punches him, then the two men start fighting. Gordon grabs the knife again, as Dean groans. "What are you doing, man? You doing this for a fang? Come on, Dean, we're on the same side here."
"I don't think so, you sadistic bastard." Dean says as Gordon throws Dean across the room.
"You're not like your brother, or the pretty red head. You're a killer. Like me." Gordon says.
Dean kicks Gordon down and hauls him up against and elbows him in the face, which knocked him out. Pinning him under his elbows, he slams Gordon's head into another wall. Dean sets him in a chair and ties him up. "You know, I might be like you, and I might not. But you're the one tied up one now."
───※ ·❆· ※───
Sam returns to find Gordon tied to the chair; Dean is pacing. Gordon and Dean watch each other. "Did I miss anything?" Sam asks.
"Nah, not much. Lenore get out, okay?" Dean asks.
"Yeah, all of 'em did." Sam says.
"Then I guess our work here is done. How you doin', Gordy? Gotta tinkle yet?" Dean asks, slightly taunting him as Gordon looks at Dean. "Alright, well, get comfy. We'll call someone in two or three days, have them come out, untie you." Dean says as he jams Gordon's knife into a table behind him.
"Ready to go, Dean?" Sam asks.
"Not yet. I guess, this is goodbye. Well, it's been real." Dean says as he hits Gordon, knocking him in his chair to the floor. Sam clears his throat. "Okay, I'm good now. We can go."
───※ ·❆· ※───
As they exit the farmhouse, both wince at their recent injuries Sam's left arm is wrapped in a bandage. Dean stops setting himself on his feet like a boxer. "Sam? Clock me one." Dean says.
"What?" Sam asks confused.
"Come on. I won't even hit you back. Let's go." Dean says to his brother.
"No." Sam says still refusing to hit his brother.
"Let's go, you get a freebie. Hit me, come on." Dean says to his brother.
"You look like you just went twelve rounds with a block of cement, Dean. I'll take a raincheck." Sam says to Dean.
"I wish we never took this job. It's jacked everything up, and I also lost my girlfriend." Dean says.
"What do you mean?" Sam asks.
"Think about all the hunts we went on, Sammy, our whole lives." Dean says to his brother.
"Okay." Sam says a little confused on what his brother is talking about.
"What if we killed things that didn't deserve killing? You know? I mean, the way Dad raised us..." Dean says to his brother.
"Dean, after what happened with Mom, Dad did the best he could." Sam says to his brother.
"I know he did. But the man wasn't perfect. And the way he raised us, to hate those things; and man, I hate 'em to. I do. When I killed that vampire in the mill, I didn't even think about it; hell, I even enjoyed it."
"You didn't kill Lenore." Sam says.
"No, but every instinct told me to. I was gonna kill her. I was gonna kill 'em all." Dean says to his brother.
"Yeah, Dean, but you didn't. And that's what matters." Sam says to his brother.
"Yeah. Well, 'cause you're a pain in my ass." Sam says with a forced smile on his face.
"Thanks." Dean says to his brother.
"Don't mention it." Sam says to his brother, as Sam gets in the passenger side. Dean stares off into the distance for a moment before climbing in and driving away.
"Where does Amelia live?" Dean asks.
"I have no clue." Sam says as it is the truth. Yes, he's talked to Amelia a couple times since they had last seen each other, but they haven't gotten to that part yet, then again Amelia is dating Damon, so it makes sense. "Why?"
"If Ana doesn't hate me already, I need to go see her." Dean says to his brother as he nodded his head understanding why Dean had asked where Amelia lives. "Annie probably wouldn't answer any of my calls or messages, which I know she either didn't reply or she deleted my last message, knowing my luck she probably deleted it. Which I can't blame her, but I also can't blame her for leaving, I was a mess, and I was thinking that Gordon was my friend, but we all know how that went, and clearly I can't blame her for leaving." Dean says more so to himself ranting as Sam takes a deep breath, at what his brother said, knowing that he wasn't exactly wrong either.
Sam grabs his phone from his pocket and dials a number which was Ana's, and he heard it ringing for a couple seconds before it stopped, as he heard noises in the background, which made Dean's ears perk up at hearing the noises, he had a guess who his brother had called, and it was Ana. "Hey, um, we're done with the hunt, and we're both alive...shocking... but um, someone wants to talk to you, if you don't hate him already..." Sam says to Ana which made her sniffle her nose which made Dean's heart break at hearing knowing that she was crying. He hates seeing and hearing her crying, then again, she is like him in many ways and the two of them have a bad habit of holding in their feelings and not talking about their emotions.
Sam had handed his phone to Dean who took a deep breath before he started talking to keep his own emotions together, and so that he doesn't start crying or something like that. "Hey, sweetheart."
It was quiet on the other end of the phone like a little too quiet until he heard what sounded like Ash on the other end of the phone. "Hey." Ana says softly as she sniffled again which made Dean's heart clench at hearing and also knowing that he was the reason for her crying in the first place made it hurt even more.
Dean took a deep breath to get his thoughts straight as of right now they are all over the place, then again, he can't blame himself, as a lot has happened within the past couple days if he is being honest. Granted, yes good majority none of it is good, but that is beside the point. "I know you probably, hate me, which is fine, I get it. I was stupid on so many levels of thinking that Gordon was my best friend, which I realized that you were right, he wasn't on so many levels, but I am sorry, I am babygirl. I shoulda listened to you, if you don't hate me right now, but if you do, I'm sorry..."
There was silence on the other end of the phone which made Dean's heart race not knowing what is happening on the other end of the call, but he knows that Ana is still there, because he can hear what sounds like Ash in the background which means that Ana is at the Roadhouse, with the Harvelle's. If he could hear it correctly, he also hears Amelia in the background also. "First things first, I don't hate you. Because I could never do that no matter how hard I try, because I can't get myself to hate you. Yes, you were stupid but what can I say I was dating stupid, but somehow, someway, I find stupid people cute, so you're in luck. Second of all, Gordon is an ass, but luckily now you can agree with me on that, but in all seriousness, I do not hate you." Ana says which made Dean take a deep breath, as he listened to what she was saying, as he couldn't help the huff of a laugh that escaped from his lips at the first part that she said. Even in all of the serious conversations, she manages to throw in a couple jokes here and there, just to slightly humor the situation.
"Oh, thank God, well I gotta say that went better than I thought it would go." Dean says to her which made her huff a laugh which made Dean's heart flutter but in a good way. He needed to hear her laugh, even if it was a small laugh, then again, he needs to see her and hold her in his arms and tell her that everything is going to be okay.
"What did you do, rehearse that before Sam gave you, his phone?" Ana asks amused as for the first time in a while, he couldn't help but laugh at what she said, knowing that she caught him in the act. Then again, Dean isn't the guy to actually say sappy, stuff and talk about his emotions, even if it is with Ana, but when he does talk about his emotions it shocks him also, if he is being honest.
Dean couldn't help but roll his eyes a little at what she said, knowing that she was right, he had rehearsed it, well parts of it at least. He had rehearsed it before he had talked to her, as he rehearsed it in his head after Ana had left the first time out of the motel room. "Eh, some parts of it, I did rehearse. Everything else just... happened." Dean admits to Ana.
There was a moment of quiet on the other end of the call, as he heard something popping which in Ana's case was probably a bottle of whiskey. She is his whiskey girl. He loves his whiskey girl. He loves his whiskey girl so much with all of his heart.
"Shoulda known. No wonder why it was cheesy." Ana says which made Dean move Sam's phone from his ear to give the phone a look as he narrowed his eyes at the object in his hand.
"Annie, no one asked your opinion." Dean says scolding his girlfriend which made her laugh which made him smile. God, he loves her.
There was some shuffling around on the other end of the call as, Ana was moving around. She walked to a quieter place, where Amelia and Ash weren't gonna eavesdrop onto her and Dean's conversation. "By obvious reasons, I'm at the roadhouse." Ana says which made Dean smile, because he misses her, and he loves her.
"I kinda put that together, sweetheart." Dean says which made Ana's heart flutter in a good way. God, when he calls her sweetheart, it does things to her, and she loves it. It makes her all happy and giddy when he calls her sweetheart. Yes, Bobby sometimes calls her sweetheart (but which father doesn't call his daughter, sweetheart) especially if it just the two of them. Which is fine as she is used to it.
But when Dean calls her sweetheart, it makes her happy. He knows what it does to her because every time that he calls her sweetheart, Ana has this little smile curling at her lips when he says sweetheart. "Clearly, but hey, you get an E for effort." Ana says to him which made Dean gives the phone that belonged to his brother a glare, which made Sam try not to laugh at hearing Ana's response.
"Anastasia Grace, I swear to God, if I hear one more smart-ass comment come from your mouth, I will rebuke your cuddling and hugging privileges when I see you again. Also, your kissing privileges. So, try me, Singer." Dean says to Ana which made her gasp on the other end of the call. "Try me and see what happens."
"Okay, okay, sheesh, no need to get crabby." Ana grumbles but it was loud enough so that Dean heard it. She had purposely done it too just to hear the groan that escaped from Dean's mouth. She knows the many, many, many, and many ways to piss him off, and one of them is eating the last slice of pie. Which she had never done since, who knew a guy could get so possessive over pie.
"Ana, I swear to God..." Dean says to her but he couldn't help the small smile that was curling up on the corner of his lips. God, he loves this woman. Even if she may drive him crazy sometimes, he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. She may want him to rip his hair out sometimes, but in the end, he still loves her, no matter what. He wants to give her all the love that her little heart desires.
"Okay, okay chill, I'll see you when you get here." Ana says to Dean which made him chuckle at what she said.
a couple hours later
Dean and Sam had arrived at the Roadhouse, as Amelia gave Dean a lecture of how stupid he was, which he did admit. He looked up at Amelia slightly amused which made her narrow her eyes. "Are you done?" Dean asks Amelia as she whacked his head as she walked past him as Ana was by the pole nearby.
"So, word got around that my idiotic boyfriend is here?" Ana said which made Dean put down the whiskey glass that is in his hand and turned around to face his girlfriend. The one who had the nerve to call him 'idiotic boyfriend'.
"That is quite offensive, darlin'."
"Eh, not really." Ana says to him which made him give her a look, that made her smirk grow a little more on her face.
"Well, damn if that's how you really feel." Dean says to her as he couldn't help his own smirk that was on his lips.
"But at least you're cute."
"Oh, so, now I'm cute. What about idiotic boyfriend? What about that?"
"That is still there." Ana comments to Dean, which made him position her onto his lap.
"You know I still stand by what I said, of me shutting that attitude for you."
