Chapter Two: They Left

Evie went into her dorm to see another note on the desk, she walks over to it to see that it was Mal telling her that she's also left. She headed straight the Ben's office, she knocked on the door before she heard Ben faintly says 'Come In'. Evie enters the room, looking distraught.

"Ben?" She looked over at Ben, as Ben smiled at her.

"Evie, come on in." Ben greets her as he stood up.

Evie walked further into the office, looking down and then looking back up at Ben. "Haden and Mal's gone back to the Isle." Her voice cracked, as she hands the two notes to him. "Ben..." Ben looked at Evie as she hands him the ring what he gave Mal.

"This is my fault; this is all my fault. I blew it. They'd been both under so much pressure lately and instead of being understanding to Mal, I just went all beast on her." Ben frustratedly says as he places his hands on the table while Evie looked down as a tear streamed down her face. "I have to go there and apologize. I have to go there and beg for them to come back." Ben stood up straight as he looked at Evie.

"Ben, you'll never find them. You need to know the Isle and how it works, and..." Evie tries explaining as Ben walked to the window and stared out of it. "You have to take me with you."

"Yes. Uh..." Ben turns around to face Evie as her face is saddened. "A-are you sure?" He stammers his words.

"Yeah. Haden's my boyfriend and Mal is my best friend." Evie starts as she turns around, "And we'll bring the boys, too because there is safety in numbers, and none of us is really too popular over there right now."

Ben stepped closer to Evie, "Thank you."

"But let's get two things straight. You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again." Evie turned her head to look at Ben.

"I promise."

"And there's no way you're going looking like that."

Isle of the Lost

Mal walked through the market and headed towards Lady Tremaine's salon, the sign said they weren't open yet until midnight, but the door was open. She walked inside to see a girl, brushing up the hair what was on the floor, as she listened to music on her headphones. She looked up to see Mal standing in front of her, the girl smiled as she took the headphones of her head. "Mal! Is Haden and Evie back, too?"

"As if." Mal chuckles as she stepped further into the salon. Mal started to make her way round the small table and looking around the salon. "I, um, forgot that you guys don't open till midnight. Place looks good. So, what is your deal? Has your grandmother given you any customers yet?"

"Ah, just a witch here and there. Mostly, it's a lot of scrubbing and scouring and sweeping. Lots and lots of sweeping." the younger girl answered Mal.

"Sounds like the old Cinderella treatment, Hey." Mal looked around the salon again as she looked back at the girl in front of her.

"Yeah, she's gone from Wicked Stepmother to Wicked Grandmother." The girl told Mal.

"That's not really much of a switch." Mal slowly stepped forward. "Hey, Dizzy, you used to do Evie, right?" Mal asked.

"Yeah. I thought of the little braids." Dizzy looked up with a smile, nodding her head.

"You have any ideas for me?" Mal asked as she gave her a smile.

Dizzy stepped closer to Mal as she touches the end piece of her dyed blonde hair. "The washed-out blonde with purple tips. 'The best of no worlds' You can't see where your face ends and your hair begins." Dizzy told her as she pulled Mal by her wrist to the salon chair. "Oh, what is this?" Dizzy asks as she takes Mal's hand as looked at her fingernails. "Bored to Death Pink?" Dizzy moved Mal in the chair to look at the back of her hair. "Hmm. How far can I go?"

Mal clicks her tongue, "The works. I mean, whatever makes me feel like me, but you know...Way worse."

Dizzy smiled as she walked over to the table, picking up the scissors and heading back over to Mal, the daughter of Maleficent gave Dizzy a nervous smile as she looks at the scissors.

Dizzy spun Mal around for her to look at the mirror. "Hey, there I am." Mal says as she looked at her new look in the reflection of the mirror.

"Voila!" Dizzy and Mal both simultaneously say. Mal looked down and put her hand into her pocket, pulling out money and passing it to Dizzy.

"For me?" Dizzy asked with a smile as she looked up at Mal.

"Yeah. You earned it." Mal responded as she sent a smile to the girl in front of her.

Dizzy giggles and she walked past Mal and started to make her way towards the register before a male enters the salon.

"Fork it over, you runt." He held out his hand to Dizzy as a frown appears on the girls face. "Now the rest of it." the male head turned to the register and tapped his hook on the table. Dizzy went over to it and takes out the money what contained in the register over to the male and handed him it. "Hmm. Thank you. Mm-hmm." He turned to leave before Mal spoke up from standing in the middle of the salon

"Still running errands for Uma, or do you actually get to keep what you steal?" She asked the male with a slight grin on her face.

"Well, well, well. What a nice surprise." The male turned around to face Mal and stepped closer.

"Hi, Harry." Mal said.

"Just wait until Uma hears you're back." Harry stepped closer to Mal again. "She's never gonna give you and Haden back your old territory."

"Oh, well, that's okay. Because I will be taking it." Mal responded which made Harry chuckle slightly.

Harry uses his hook to move Mal's hair, "I could hurt you."

Mal grabbed his wrist and took out her gum from her mouth and places it on the top of his hook.  "Not without her permission, I bet."

Harry chuckle as he raises his hook to his mouth and taking the gum off it and putting it in his mouth, Harry moved away from Mal and uses his arm to push the items off the table before walking out of the salon.

"Great. More sweeping."
