"EONNI!"

The oldest of the group rushed to the source of the shout. Almost tripping on her way, she reached the place.

"What happened?" Eunbi panicked.

"Oh it was supposed to be for Chaeyeon eonni tho but since you're here, could you help me pick clothes to wear?" Y/N showed two different clothes to the older. Eunbi sighed, thought that something bad happened.

"What's the occasion, Y/NN?"

"Nothing much, just a hangout with Yujin eonni since she told me to but I don't exactly know what's her reason other than she's bored here in the dorm"

"Because you are her secr—" Minju, who only passed by Y/N's room, stopped talking when she saw Yujin gesturing a slice on the neck, then sticked out her tongue before walking back to her business.

"Anything simple or casual would be great for you already, don't forget to wear mask because it's not that safe outside these days" The leader reminded. They completely ignored the frog.

"Noted!" Y/N then pushed the older out her bedroom so she can change her clothes, never forgetting to say 'Thank you'.

Eunbi went back to watching television, ignoring what her members' business is. She was focused on the drama she's watching when she remembered something, her birthday. Her birthday is due tomorrow and she hopes that someone remembers her special day.

Y/N and Yujin bid their goodbyes then left the dorm, Eunbi sighed. Meanwhile, one member giggled at the older. She quickly rushed to her shared bedroom with the others—almost everyone except Eunbi, and the duo who went out—inside having a secret meeting.

"Leader eonni is sad because no one is putting up the topic about her birthday tomorrow" The girl who spied at Eunbi stated.

"Oh I am already thinking about how eonni will tear up because of what we'll do tomorrow"

"Did you heard Y/N yelled 'eonni' earlier? It was for me right? I guess she's supposed to ask what would her and Yujin will buy for tomorrow. She did a good job at thinking of a way for Eunbi to not know"

"She's a good actress and a liar"

"A good liar"

"So about our plan, I hope you guys already know about everything that is assigned to each of you right?" The master mind of the plan asked furiously.

"Yup! I'm totally not going to forget about what I'll do tomorrow, Eat!" Hyewon cheered, everyone facepalmed.

"Anyways, we need to act like we don't know what event will happen tomorrow when Eunbi eonni ask okay? We're going to make her sad today then tomorrow we'll make her cry because of happiness!"

"Eunbi eonni will totally not gonna like this if she find out that you're the one who planned this Yena" Sakura sighed.

"Genius Yena wants to cooperate with stupid Yena on her plan tho"

"Whatever, I can't understand your nonsense eonni" Hitomi deadpanned, everyone laughed at the two while the duck pouted, as always.

"That'll be all everyone! I hope this plan of Yena's goes well. It's stupid that we agreed on her plan but we're a bunch of stupids too so yeah" Chaeyeon said and did her iconic laugh which can be stuck in every people's minds whoever heard it.

They all went out the room and did their plan. They were divided into 3 groups, the duo (Yujin and Y/N) will be responsible for the materials needed, 5 girls (Jo Yuriz, Sakura, and Hyewon) are responsible for distracting Eunbi and they're the ones assigned to make the oldest sad, 5 other girls (Chaeyeon, Minju, Nako, Hitomi, and Wonyoung) are responsible for decorating and stuffs.

The plan went well the whole day which made the others left in shock because a certain Choi Yena planned this. In result, Eunbi gloomed after she asked 'do you guys know what day is tomorrow' ,which earned an answer from the maknae 'uhm, September 27 eonni. Why?' . Knowing that the giant bunny forgot—not really— the older's day, it literally made Eunbi's day worse than before.

Eunbi didn't mind at first because it's just a day of celebration of her birth but hearing the younger's statement made her heart broke into pieces. Others felt guilt and half of them felt victorious, they made their leader sad and they successfully finished the mission. Only one last thing left and that's their surprise.

September 27, 2020

Gloom engulfed the dorm. With her expressionless face, Eunbi went out her shared room with Hyewon. The girl headed to the kitchen taking a can of sprite before drinking it like a shot to take her sadness away.

It's so stupid for her to expect something, she thought. Expectations hurt in the end. But don't worry Eunbi, it gets better and better as time passes, it's part of the duck's almost successful plan.

Eunbi opened her phone and saw that many greeted her on her special day but she felt empty. It doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate the fans, it's just she is really expecting for one her members to greet her. A simple birthday greet from one of her group mates can already make her day.

Sun slowly lit up the dorm and one by one the members woke up. They saw the leader's state and it made them sad, but they still have a plan to finish and hope that it'll end up as they expected.

Everybody is currently awake and all of them gathered at the living room, watching movies.

"I'm bored, who wants to go out and have fun with me outside?" Chaewon asked and signalled the girls who were assigned to distract Eunbi. Yulyen and Hyekura raised up their hands, each have a smirk on their faces.

"What about you Eunbi eonni? You look sad and gloomy, anything wrong?" Yena smirked.

"Oh uh nothing's wrong, I guess I do need some fresh air so I'll go with you guys"

"Great! Anyone else want to come?"

"Ehh, I'll stay here since I'm too lazy to walk around" Y/N lied. Last night, when they got back home she prayed for God's forgiveness because she lied at the older. She promised she'll pray once again.

"Me too, my legs are too tired from walking yesterday" Yujin pouted.

The others made up an excuse and in the end the girls who are going to distract the leader and Eunbi went out the dorm.

As soon as the 6 girls left, they immediately took out the decorations to start decorating, the others went to the kitchen to cook the foods.

The 7 girls who were left behind were in a hurry as if Eunbi and the others will be back in just a blink of an eye but they made sure they'll do their best.

After a half an hour, they finished their tasks and plopped down the couch with sweats visible on their faces.

"Gosh I hope Eunbi eonni will react the same thing as we're expecting"

"Totally. How about we make letters for her? It'll serve as a gift from ours tho"

"Great idea Nako-chan! I'll get some pens and papers we bought yesterday. Good thing we bought some" Yujin jumped up and went to her bedroom.

Then the 7 girls wrote the things they wanted to say to their lovely leader, probably going to say sorry too for making her sad. The other girls who were out with Eunbi texted their messages to write in their letters and they wrote it down on the cards.

"Eonni! Yuri eonni said they're almost home!" Y/N exclaimed while jumping up and down, expressing her nervousness.

"Okay girls, don't panic! I mean really don't panic! This will end well, don't worry guys" Minju panicked.

"We're not panicking at all, say that to yourself"

"Oof we're having roasted frog for dinner tonight made by Hii-chan!"

"Shut up Yujin"

They sat normally making them look like a bunch of creeps because of their wide smiles on their faces, they waited for the door to open and shout surprise!

"Guys! Eomma's ho—"

"SURPRISE!"

Eunbi looked around to see the dorm decorated in colorful ornaments. She felt astonished and speechless by her members' doings. She already quit expecting for one of her members to remember her special day.

"Saengil chugha habnida, saengil chugha habnida! Saranghaneun Eunbi eonni~ saengil chugha habnida~" They sang. Y/N held the cake in front of Eunbi.

"Make a wish then blow the candles leader-nim!" Eunbi held both of her hands together then closed her eyes to make her wish. After a while, she opened her eyes and then finally blowing out the candle.

All of them cheered and clapped. They looked at Eunbi who was in the verge of crying, they had a group hug and Eunbi finally letted it all out.

"I t-thought you guys d-didn't remember my birthday" Eunbi sniffed.

"We cannot forget a special day of such a special person! Sorry for that eonni~"

"It's fine, I really appreciate all of what you kids did! I have no clue about this"

"It was planned well I must say, Yena really did a great job on this one"

"Yeah, Yena eonni is the one who planned everything eonni! She's good isn't she?"

"Good job Choi Yena, you could be a party planner in your next life" Eunbi gagged.

"Hehe guys don't make me blush, I know I did well" Yena playfully flipped her hair.

"Anyways, we can't let the fun wait so let's get the party started!"

All of them had a day full of fun, there are moments of crying but not because of sadness but because of happiness. The day ended pretty well with Eunbi reading out the letters her members made, she appreciate all her group mates hard works to make her happy.

Yena's plan ended as they were expecting. It's a miracle tho since mostly expectations always hurt us in the end, but with hope nothing can stop you from expecting and your expectations will end up happening making you satisfied, feeling happiness inside you.
