Anybody can develop Scorpio Syndrome

It has nothing to do with Astrology at all

But it's my sign and my poem, and I thought it was a good analogy

Cos my heart is encased in a scorpion shell

And if I sting you by mistake please just know I mean well

Cos it isn't like I don't want you to be my friends

But some friends left me, you know, without warning

And some friends hurt me, you know, like a wasp sting

And there's a part of me that's scared of getting hurt again

I would love to open up and let you in

I would love to feel your praise make my heart beat a little faster

I would love to cast my worries aside and believe that you won't leave me like the others

Cos the poison usually drives people away
