↪︎Elijah loves a good conversation, but he loves it more when the other person knows when to shut up. At first glance he seems serious and pretty mean, but in reality he's not...all the time. He has a very tough exterior and can be a bit aggressive when things are going right. Though since he has a lot of trust issues gained from his job and life , he may lie often or rather keep most of his personal information classified.

He can be very pessimistic, which in-fact is the reason he is so protective over his loved ones. He believes anything can happen at any moment and if he isn't there to stop it, he's failing at life. With this, he's very cynical or skeptical with anything.

Not only that, Elijah is very reserved. Slow to reveal anything important or personal to anyone that isn't his direct family. And even still, he may not be telling the whole truth. He won't be outright rude, but his facial expressions conceal nothing. Just by a simple expression, you can just take a good guess at what he is thinking about.

Aside from his negative characteristics and beyond his sarcastic remarks or deathly stares, he's very loyal. He always has everyone's best interest in mind. He's very persistent, especially if he knows what he's doing is right. There's no stopping him. Elijah is very realistic, he does not believe in fairytales but tends to entertain it for the sake of his child. He may be stubborn but his practical, straightforward, and street smarts is what had been keeping him going mentally.

He is family oriented and has the ability to be gentle and nurturing, when he's in his happy moment he's wholesome and enjoyable. Even more so when he's not happy, he'd rather not bring others down with his mood.

Elijah needed a babysitter and you needed a job, so things had worked themselves out when you two had met in a nearby bakery/coffee shop. Things were working out fine, perfectly fine. Well, until you were privately pulled aside by the authorities.

They revealed most of his information to you as well as showed their badges to prove they were not impersonating.

As a close friend of his, they wanted to use you as their own personal spy. They were even willing to pay. These people informed you that he was an undercover agent, but conspiring with the enemy. In fact, they believed he was the enemy.

You believed, they gave you more than enough reason too. So you agreed. You were strictly assigned just to get proof that he was indeed aiding the enemy.

Unfortunately, Elijah decided to work from home. Staying in his home office for most of the morning. Seeing no opening, you went on as usual.

"I got a meeting to go to. Is everything alright?" He questioned coming downstairs around noon dressed and ready folk to go. "Good..I need you to stay a couple of hours extra, if that's okay." You agreed.

A couple of hours later, you were finally able to get the restless child down for a nap. Gently closing the door behind you, the sight of the door opened to his office caught your attention. You glanced around before walking down the hall to his office. Walking in, you began scanning through the papers on his desk.

You were really focused until you heard the door close behind you, immediately turning around you jumped in fear and took a step back until your lower back hit the desk.

Elijah stood there, lowering his height to yours to meet face to face. His voice lower than usual.

"Is there something you're looking for?"
