I lay on my bed, flat on my back staring up at the ceiling as I listen to Klaus shout at Reginald— well, Reginald's urn, to try to help him communicate.

Sounds awfully exhausting.

I wonder if I'd be able to see the old man, but that's not my power. Although I can see Ben, the amazing perks of being in the limbo-land of technically not being dead or alive, it didn't really come with a handbook. And Ben's been the only one I can see— correction, want to see. Maybe that's why.

Hell if I know.

After fourteen years, I've given up on figuring it the fuck out. I was just happy to get to see Ben, even if he has been a thorn in my fucking side ever since.

I can't imagine what Reginald would have to say.  I know that none of us killed him, though I do think Diego was up to something. But I can't find the energy to care enough to figure out what.

I mess with one of my controllers, tossing it back and forth between my hands contemplating what to play. I wish I had the house to myse—

My thoughts are immediately interrupted by the sound of music. I roll onto my elbows listening to the intro play as my head involuntary sways side to side.

Before I can stop myself, I slide off my bed and my whole body starts swaying side to side, my arms flowing in and out as my neck rolls all the way around.

Suddenly thunder cracks as something flashes outside my window, snapping me out of it. What the fuck?! I rear my head back. Lightning strikes multiple times as the thunder grows louder and louder.

The jewelry box on my dresser shakes before soaring past my head and I duck as my rings fly out, sticking  against the wall. I raise a brow wondering what the hell one of the idiots did. I huff before ripping my door open and I stomp down the stairs to find everyone heading outside to figure out what's going on.

Diego bursts through the door first.

"Oh." He lets out, blocking his eyes with his arm for a moment. I shove past Vanya, wincing when the bright light hits my eyes while everyone else files out.

The wind is strong, sending the leaves into a frenzy,
yet all I can focus on is the giant... WHATEVER THE HELL is floating in the middle of the courtyard.

Oh dear God.

"What is it?" Vanya shouts over the roaring sound of the wind.

"Don't get too close!" Allison's voice wavers as she wraps her arm around Luther and tugs me back all at once.

"Excuse you." I huff, shooting her a glare.

"Yeah, no shit." Diego snaps at her.

I stare at what looks like a funnel of smoke with flashing blue light at the top.

"Looks like some sort of temporal anomaly." Luther says. Yeah. That. "Either that or a miniature black hole. One of the two."

"Thank you for your wonderful insight, Luther!" I holler. "Quite helpful!"

"Yeah, pretty big difference there, Paul Bunyan." Diego throws in.

"Out of the way!" Klaus suddenly shouts, bursting through Diego and Luther. Where's he been?!

"What are you-" Luther goes to ask as Klaus attempts to spray the 'anomaly' with a fire extinguisher before staring down at it in confusion. He then launches his arm back and lets out a screech as he chucks it at the damn thing.

"What is that gonna do?" Allison yells at him.

"I don't know!" Klaus throws his arms up. "Do you have a better idea?" Well anything's better than that bright idea—

"Yes." I say, cupping my hand to form a ball of fire, I step forward. "Step back." I tell Klaus.

"Woah-"

"Wait-"

"Hold on-" Allison, Luther, and Diego shout all at once.

Electricity cracks causing Klaus to jerk.

"Woah, woah, woah." Luther panics, reaching out he pulls Klaus back. "Everybody get behind me. Asher!"

"Yeah, get behind us." Diego adds and I roll my eyes, ignoring both of them.

I bring my right hand up to my left and rotate them together allowing the fire to grow before stretching my hands out slowly and forcefully push them forward sending the fire into the anomaly.

My body buzzes as I let the fire flow for moment before pulling my hands back in. I wait for a second before squinting my eyes as a body appears at the top.

Is somebody coming through?!

I gasp slightly when suddenly I feel like I'm being pulled in closer— a wave of energy washing over me.

"Asher, get back!" Luther hollers at me, but his voice sounds distant.

My head tips backward and my body grows heavy, feeling like a magnet being sucked in. Don't panic, Asher, it's fine. It's fine.

I grind my teeth together just as the body falls forward from the anomaly and crashes to the ground. My knees buckle, but I dig my heels into the ground to root myself.

The anomaly wall disappears as the person on the ground stirs and I squeeze my fingers together ready to dust their ass. But my wariness quickly melts into horror as I watch the person slowly make it to their feet in clothes a few sizes to big and I finally see who it is...

Oh. My God...

My throat closes up, like a hand crushing my windpipe. His gaze slowly moves from the ground up to me. "Asher?" My name leaves his lips, so quiet if I wasn't frozen, and the wind hadn't stopped, I would've missed it entirely.

Five.

It's Five.

"Does anybody else see little Number Five, or is that just me?" Klaus asks as footsteps approach behind me.

At Klaus's words Five's brows furrow and he looks down at himself allowing me to tear my eyes away from him to Allison, Luther, Klaus, Diego, and Vanya standing directly behind me, all staring ahead with expressions, that could only begin to match mine, full of utter shock, disbelief, and confusion.

So they're seeing this too....

I slowly turn back around just as his eyes lift to all of us.

"Shit." Five lets out and my mouth parts. This can't be happening.

Five is standing in front of us, in front of me, and he doesn't look any different than last time I saw him.

He doesn't look any different than last time I saw him.

My ears begin to ring as his eyes bore into mine.
