A/N: GUESS WHAT BITCHES I'M BACKKKK

Basically, this takes place a year after Season Two ended. By this time, everyone still kind of thinks Jinx is dead. Enjoy, more one-shots are to come!

Sevika's POV

Annoyingly, the broken clock in Silco's old office chimed offbeat, derailing Sevika's focus. Though, she was surprised the clock worked at all after the Last Drop was burned down by Jinx. Jinx, Sevika rolled the coins between her fingers tersely as she bit her lips. That girl will be the death of me. She used to think that if Jinx went away, then Silco would stop protecting her and focus on restoring Zaun and batting away the troublesome ChemBarons. Now, Silco and Jinx are both gone, their impact on Zaunites forever memorized.

Sevika sat on the floor of Silco's burnt office, blackened and ash-fallen from the fire. It was mainly the first floor that suffered the most, the upper floor managed to hold up. "When did I get so sappy," she muttered to herself. It had been a year since Jinx died after battling Warwick, though technically Vander, and Sevika and Scar were on the Council in Piltover now. She had time to mourn Silco's, Jinx's, and Isha's deaths.

So why was there an empty hole left gaping in her heart?

She gripped the coin tightly, shutting her eyes. Sevika tried to focus, to get herself up and move past the experiences that haunted her, but she just couldn't. She flipped the coin, landing on heads. Silco and Jinx—two different sides of the same coin. They weren't so different after all, they were both leaders of Zaun. "Bloody hell," she grumbled, resting her chin on her knee, her scowl deepening. Shockingly, she'd miss Jinx who was Silco's fucking brat.

"Shoola's asking for you." The broken, burnt door crept open as a dark-skinned boy entered the room. Ekko wore his oversized sage jacket—seriously, how was he not sweating bricks in it?—and his Firelight owl mask disguising his face. No use, really, since Sevika already knew what Ekko looked like. "She needs you and Scar in Piltover ASAP."

Sevika lifted up her head, narrowing her eyes. "You're not welcome here."

"Well, I wasn't really asking for an invite," the Firelight leader said just as coldly. He walked towards her, tugging the owl mask off and holding it by the strap. Ekko's face had some scars near the jaw from the Noxian invasion, though the heavy eye bags were a clear sign that he hadn't slept in a while. Too busy being the Boy Saviour, Sevika guessed. "And what are you doing here, Sevika?"

"Thinking." She stuffed the coin back in her pockets. "And you?"

"When Jinx said she burned this place to the ground, I thought she was joking." Ekko picked something up, only for it to crumble to ashes in his hand. He closed his hand into a fist. "Jinx... Well, I think that's the reason we're both here, isn't it?" He leaned against Silco's desk, glancing around the nearly destroyed room. "So this is where the Eye of Zaun operated for years, huh?"

Sevika mumbled something in response, her eye twitching at the damn broken clock. She finally turned around, frustrated. "Listen, kid, why are you actually here? I know Shoola and Scar didn't send for you; I met them in the morning. So unless you've got a good reason to be here, the door is right there—"

"I wanted to talk to you about Jinx." Ekko averted his gaze. "Because she grew up here."

Oh. Sevika shifted her body weight, staring down at her bruised knuckles. "I don't know what to tell you, Firelight. Jinx and I? We weren't close until the end of the line, after Silco died..." Her voice became raspy and hoarse. "Jinx wasn't chickenshit about anymore but you, got it? She doesn't half-ass anything, but you? Ha, bet you were a real thorn in her side." Sevika almost snickered. "She'd mention you from time to time, when Silco wasn't around, of course."

Ekko arched an eyebrow. "You sure?"

"Dead serious." Sevika's upper lip twitched as she crossed her arms, her muscles bulging. "Why do you think Silco's crew planned an attack on your Firelights even after you were pesky bugs? No, it's not because we didn't discover your stupid hideout—hell, Jinx figured it out as fast as the next person—but because Silco didn't dare to hurt the person that Jinx still associated Powder with." This time, Sevika actually laughed out loud at Ekko trying to hide his surprise. "Good Gods," she gasped out for air in a fit of chuckles, "Silco would be rolling in his grave if he found out she liked you!"

Ekko's body movements slowed as his hands stilled. Behind them, the broken clock's chimes echoed in the room. "After all these years, I thought she hated me. That Silco taught her to hate me." He appeared uncomfortable.

Sevika chuckled. "Jinx doesn't listen to Silco often, we both know that." She clucked her tongue, shaking her head. "I suspect Jinx knew you were the Firelight leader long before Silco did. The stupid girl didn't even tell any of us, she didn't tattle on you, Ekko. A fat load of good it did her now." Dead. Gone like the wind. Sevika rolled her eyes, bringing out her cigar and lighting it. Smoke trailed up in the air as she put the cigar in her mouth. "I could say the same about you," she said, holding the cigar between her teeth. "You knew where Jinx stayed—you grew up around the Last Drop—and you didn't come to kill us once. Nice going, Firelight."

"Yeah, I'm a real gentleman." Ekko pressed his lips together. "Do you think if Jinx was still alive, she'd forgive me? Or, rather, each other? After all the bullshit we've put each other through, we still..." He took a deep sigh. "Would she, though?"

"I think she already has, kid." Sevika exhaled a puff of smoke, getting to her feet. The mechanic arm that Jinx gifted her was becoming second nature to her. She stared Ekko squarely in the eye before saying, "Here's my advice if you can't get over Jinx; this whole ordeal is like a broken clock. It doesn't work properly—shit, it's probably annoying as fuck—but you still hear the chimes every time. Think of the chimes as a reminder, but eventually, you'll have to tune out those chimes."

Together, they made their way out of the Last Drop. Zaun was slowly rebuilding itself and Sevika was glad to see it. Ekko came to a halt, guilty asking, "But what if I can't tune out the chimes? What if..." He trailed off before, sighing. "Whatever, let's just move on. What I said earlier wasn't a lie—Shoola is asking for you. The Council needs to discuss what to do about the Noxians; they suspect Noxus is slowly infiltrating regions of Runeterra such as Bilgewater, Ionia, or Demacia. They want to send people, or rather scouts, to survey the playing field."

Sevika took in the information, cocking her head to the side. "Let me crack you a deal, Firelight. You go scout those lands for us and come back. Scar can handle the Firelights before you interrupt me," she added as Ekko opened his mouth, then promptly closed it. "What you need is a rest, kiddo. You want to restore Zaun? Well, you sure as hell better make sure Noxus doesn't invade it again then. Who knows, maybe you'll pick up something useful on your trip—learn how to repair a broken clock or two."
