Midoriya stared at the envelope in his hands. This was it. This letter was what would decide his future. He was admitibly scared to open it. What if he was rejected? He wasn't sure he could take it if he had been rejected. Of course, he knew he'd have to do it sooner or later, and he felt that sooner would be better. His pale hands trembled as he carefully pulled open the envelope, not wanting to damage it's contents. A small metal disk slide out, much to his confusion. Why was there a disk in the envelope? The disk fell onto his desk, and suddenly a hologram of All Might appeared, saying "I AM HERE TO GIVE YOU YOUR TEST RESULTS!!!"
"Huh, looks like All Might's gonna be our teacher..." Midoriya mumbled, as the hologram contiued, "IN THE WRITTEN EXAM, YOU PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS!! 98%!!! AND IN THE PRACTICAL, YOU HAD 23 VILLAIN POINTS!!! PLUS, 60 RESCUE POINTS FOR SAVING YOUNG URARAKA!!! CONGRATULATIONS, YOU PASSED!! WELCOME TO UA!!!" He stared at the hologram as it disappeared, completely baffled. He actually passed? And, they never said anything about rescue points!! Then again, someone who wasn't really hero material would probably take advantage of it if they knew of rescue points. But still, he actually passed!! Tears started to fall from his eyes, although they were happy tears.
"I did it... Dad, I actually did it..!" Midoriya said through his tears. The words "I just wish you were here to see it" were left unsaid. (He knew his mom wouldn't care too much that he passed, as long as he wasn't in the house)

Midoriya walked through the halls of UA, eyes darting around in search of his class. He had gotten his witch outfit registered as his hero coustume, but unfortunately he wasn't allowed to wear his hat outside of training. And of course, there was a uniform (he couldn't tie that tie for the life of him), so he was only able to wear his chokers and necklace, as well as the star pin, which he had placed on his tie. He felt alittle strange without his hat and robes with him, but he could manage. He did back in middle school as well. He ajusted his backpack strap as he continued walking, his bright red shoes thumping on the tile. "Come on, where is it.. Did I go through the wrong entrance..?" He mumbled.
Eventually, he stumbled upon a door marked with the letters "1-A". The door was huge, at least ten feet tall. He gulped at the sight of it, before reaching for the doorknob, 'hopefully, Kacchan, Uraraka and that blue haired kid aren't in this class...' He thought, opening the door. The first thing he saw was Bakugou with his feet resting on a desk, and the blue haired boy telling him to get his feet down. Midoriya shuddered, 'just my luck..' He walked into the room, and tried to avoid them as he made his way to his seat. Unfortunately for our young witch, his seat was right behind Bakugou's. The blue haired boy clearly noticed him, as he said, "Oh, hello there!! I am Tenya Iida, from Someii High!! I'm sorry about the entrance exams, I misjudged you! You are clearly superior to me." He was bowing at a 90 degree angle, and Midoriya started waving his hands franitcally, "Uh... I'm I-Izuku Midoriya.. Y-you've g-got it all w-wrong, I-I'm not a-at all s-s-superior, wh-where are y-you getting th-that from..?"
Before Iida could respond, Uraraka came in through the door, "Midoriya-san? You got in, huh? Thanks for saving me, by the way.." Midoriya turned to look at her, somewhat confused. Wasn't she really upset that he was a dark witch last time he saw her? All this attention at once was starting to make him nervous... "Uhm... Y-your w-welcome? Th-that's wh-what a h-hero is s-supposed to d-do, r-right?" Uraraka sighed softly, "I'm sorry about how I acted when we first met.. I thought that you were just after power, I didn't realize you were completely defenseless otherwise.." After a few seconds, Midoriya nodded, "It's fine, there was no way you'd know... I-I'm s-sorry t-t-too, I l-let my e-emotions get the b-best of me.." Everyone around was clearly confused by their interactions, but the two of them understood what they were talking about.
Just then, what looked like a yellow catapillar rolled into the doorway, "You guys are too loud.." All eyes turned, and everyone got quiet, conversations ending abuptly. The catapillar unzipped itself, revealing a man with shaggy black hair, all black clothing, and a light grey scarf. He also had yellow goggles hanging around his neck. He stood up, brushing himself off. "It took you all 8 seconds to pipe down. Rational students would do better than that. I'm Shouta Aizawa, your homeroom teacher." He then pulled out a stack of clothing out of his sleeping bag. "Put these on and meet me outside in 5 minutes"

Class 1-A stood in a group, observing the dirt field they stood in. The spring breeze ruffled their clothes slightly, keeping them cool. Aizawa stood there in the center of the field, a netural face displayed, almost as if he didn't care at all about teaching them. (They would later find that this wasn't the case). In his hand, he held a softball. "Alright, we're doing a quirk apprehension test.. In middle school, you all did fitness exams, right? The school system is slacking off. They insist on not evaluating quirks in those tests. It's irrational." Aizawa said. Uraraka hummed, and asked, "But what about the orientation?"
"Waste of time. If you plan on becoming heroes, you can't waste time on something so unnessecary. It'll just be Nezu talking about skin care, and the rules, which I can evaluate on later." Aizawa said. He then threw the ball at Bakugou, who easily caught it. "Bakugou, how far could you throw a ball in middle school?" Bakugou grumbled, "67 meters" in response. Aizawa nodded, and pointed to a circle drawn on the ground. "Now, I want you to throw it as far as you can, using your quirk. Do whatever you need, just stay in the circle." Bakugou merely grunted, walking to the circle. He then threw the ball, backing it with a powerful explosion, yelling "DIE!!" A device in Aizawa's hand beeped, and displayed the numbers "705.2 meters"
A chorus of cheers rang out, saying things like "This'll be so fun!!", "The hero course is so cool!!", or "We can use our quirks? Awsome!!" Aizawa scoffed at this. "So your in the hero course, and you think that this'll be all fun and games? Fine then, whoever gets last place will be expelled" The mood was instantly downcast. Uraraka cried out, "But that's completely unfair!! It's only the first day!! And even if it wasn't the first day, it'd still be unfair!" Aizawa smirked, "Unfair? How about villain attacks? Natural disasters? Murder? Those are unfair, are they not? And yet, the world is full of them. As heroes, it's our jobs to fight that unfairness. Now then, lets get started"

They had finished the events, and were now waiting for the results. Midoriya had used his darkness beast for most of the events, as he was stronger and faster in that form. He had pretended to not notice the way some of the students looked at him while he was in that form. He supposed he was used to being feared while he looked like that. Actual darkness beasts were dangerous creatures, after all. They waited in a group, and eventually Aizawa came back with the results. In last place was a boy with grape hair, called Minoru Mineta. In first was a girl called Momo Yaoyorozu. Uraraka had tenth, Tokoyami had fifth, and Midoriya had eighth.
"Oh, by the way, the expulsion thing was just a logical ruse" Aizawa said. Mineta began crying with relief. Everyone else just seemed shocked by the fact that Aizawa had lied to them. They definitely didn't expect that from their homeroom teacher.. They went back to the homeroom, and sat through the rest of their morning lessons, anticipating their heroics class. English with Present Mic, math with Ectoplasm, ect. Needless to say, the morning classes went as expected. Boring. Very, very boring.
Eventualy, of course, lunch came around. (Anti-climatic I know) Midoriya wasn't particularly excited about that. Sure, it was a great time to socialize, and he most definitely was hungry, but he didn't do well in social settings, and school food was almost always horrible. That annoyance was dispersed when he realized that Lunch Rush was the one making the food. Lunch Rush was supposedly an amazing cook, according to the second and third years. So, there he was, waiting in line to get his food. The smell of the food filled his nostrils, which only worked to make him more hungry. Midoriya hated waiting in lines very much. So many people in one area, and he didn't like the fact that people in front of and behind him were practicaly touching him it was so cramped. Plus, waiting in itself had a tendancy to make the young witch fidgety, as he wanted to constantly be doing something. Doing nothing made him feel as if he was only wasting time and space.
After what felt like an eternity, he got a bowl full of ramen, and walked over to an empty table. He sat down at one of the seats, and began eating. The other students weren't lying, this ramen was amazing!! Midoriya had almost finished the bowl, when Iida came over to the table, "Hello, Midoriya-san! Would you mind if I sat here?" Midoriya smiled at him, "oh, sure!! I don't mind!" Iida gave a 90 degree bow, and said "Thank you!!" before sitting down. Midoriya chuckled, scratching the back of his head, "No need to thank me!" They ate their lunches in a comfortable silence, up until Iida said "I must say, your quirk is very impressive! What is it exactly, anyway?"
It took Midoriya ten whole seconds to process the statement, before he merely blurted out, "I'm quirkless." The look of confusion on Iida's face was priceless. Of course, not everyone knew of magic, that didn't suprise Midoriya. "But... A quirkless person wouldn't be able to transform like that!" Iida protested. Midoriya hummed, "And yet, I can. Tell me Iida-kun, have you ever heard of magic? Surely you have, in fairytales, right?" Iida nodded, still extremely confused, "Well yes, but what does that have to do with anything?" The young witch smiled softly, "that's what I use. Dark magic, specifically. Watch this." Midoriya then began to mumble out a spell, allowing for him to manipulate his shadow. He made it wave without moving his arms at all, before looking over at Iida, smiling still, "See?"
Iida nodded, speechless. After a few seconds, he said, "That's... amazing." Midoriya simply grinned and said, "Thank you"

By the time heroics class came around, everyone in the class had found out about Midoriya's use of magic. Not that it was too important. Currently speaking, everyone was far more focused on the anticipation that came from waiting. They were buzzing with excitement, wondering what they would be doing. The excitement only increased when All Might burst through the door, shouting, "I AM HERE, COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!!!" Cheers echoed throughout the room, amazed that All Might was teaching them.
After they had settled down, All Might began to speak, "Today, we're going to do battle training!!!" A shelf of 20 cases came out of the wall, and All Might continued, "Here are your hero costumes!! Put these on, and go to the training grounds, then I'll explain further!!" More cheers followed, as everyone went to get their costumes. Midoriya let out a sigh of relief as he grabbed the case. He had missed his magical gear. Hopefully, his staff had fit in the case...
