"Shit.." Both Neko and Midoriya said.

Stepping out of the circle, Midoriya only felt a tiny dribble of magic returning to him. 'Double shit...'

(Neko faintly noticed the smell of smoke)

The spiral of mist grew bigger, and long before either of them could even begin too make their way towards the door, Shigiraki stepped out of the portal, followed by Kurogiri.

Neko pulled out a knife, and Shigiraki growled, "I thought you were a member of our party!! You weren't supposed to free the mini-boss!! I'll just have to kill you, then!!" Without a moment of hesitation, Shigiraki lunged at Neko, who barely managed to side-step Shigiraki's outstretched hand. Neko slashed at Shigiraki's hand, managing to leave a sloppy cut on his palm. Shigiraki angrily lunged at Neko again, sucessfully grabbing Neko's shoulder. As his hoodie began to disintigate, Midoriya threw himself at Shigiraki, forcing him to let go.

Neko stared at the disingrated part of the cloth, shock written across his face. That disingration was probably Shigiraki's quirk..

Shigiraki easily shoved Midoriya off of him, careful to only touch him with four fingers, as if he didn't want to end up injuring him. However, as Shigiraki tried to get up, Midoriya stomped on his gut, pinning him down.

Well, he tried to, atleast, but Kurogiri created a portal under his foot, causing for him to miss his target and go off balance, falling into the portal. The portal dropped him away from the fight, which also happened to be closer to the door.

"RUN!!" Yelled Neko, as he dodged another attack from Shigiraki. Midoriya hesitated, however. He was a hero student, wasn't he? And heros don't leave people behind. So he shouldn't leave Neko behind! But, Kurogiri wasn't going to let him get close to the fight if he tried to help. And his magic still didn't work, so how much help would he even be...?

Neko slashed another knife at Shigiraki, "I said, run!!!"

Yeah, he'd probably just be in the way if he stayed. He scrambled to stand up, and began running towards the door, barely managing to aviod the portal that Kurogiri created. He opened up the door, whispering, "I'm sorry, Neko.." before running out.

Neko smirked under his mask. Now that Midoriya was out of the way, hopefully, the fight would be easier. Especially if he could manage to use his quirk..

"Hey Kurogiri, what's with you and always cleaning those damned cups? It's not like anyone ever uses them!!" Neko said, dodging another one of Shigiraki's attacks. Hopefully, that would get a response...

"Do not disrespec-" Kurogiri started, before freezing up suddenly. "Use your portals to teleport Shigiraki into his room." Neko comanded. Kurogiri did so, and Neko took that opprotunity to escape as well, before Shigiraki came back.

"Mission success.."

Midoriya panted as he ran, feeling drained. He hadn't eaten much of the food that the League had given him while he was there, not trusting it. Meaning, he didn't have much energy left. However, he had to keep running. If he didn't, the villains could catch him again, and what Neko had done would be all for nothing. Plus, he had to get back home, to Mutsutafu! So he kept pushing himself, running further and further despite his exhaustion.

Eventually, he couldn't run any more, and colapsed onto the ground. He kept pushing, though, and began crawling across the sidewalk, but his vision was starting to darken. Before he knew it, he was passed out on the sidewalk, somewhere in Kamino.

Hisashi was about ready to go home, as he had found no signs of his son. While he was walking, though, he saw a figure lying down on the sidewalk, presumably asleep. Curious, he walked over to the figure, only to realize that this was Izuku, sleeping on the sidewalk. Suddenly feeling panicked, he raced over, placing two fingers on his neck to feel for a pulse. The rhythmic beating of his heart could be felt, and Hisashi sighed in relief. Izuku was alive. He picked Izuku up, manuvering him so that way he was carrying him piggy-back style. He picked up the hat that had been lying next to him as well, figuring that it was Izuku's.

Izuku was okay. He was probably malnorished by how light he was, and who knows what other kinds of problems this could've caused for him, but Izuku was okay. He was alive and uninjured, he would survive. He might not have been there to protect Izuku before, but he sure as hell wasn't going to let him die now that he had found him again.

He walked onto a train that was heading to Hosu. He would take Izuku back to Inko, but he didn't know where she lived, since they had moved shortly after Inko had kicked him out. The train was mostly empty, apart from them and a few others. Not many people were out this late at night, after all.

Hopefully, Izuku would let him explain why he'd been gone for so long...

Iida sat in a cheap, plastic chair, staring at his feet in misery. The scent of antiseptics and soap filled his nose, although he was mostly used to the scent by now. The tiles on the floor were repetitive, and the walls were a pure white. In front of him was a hospital bed, on which his brother Tensei lie. He was hooked up to multiple machines, and the rhythmatic beats from them filled the air, although they wouldn't reach his ears.

His brother had been attacked by the Hero Killer; Stain. He was lucky to have made it out alive, but he would be paralysed from the waist down from now on. He'd never be a hero again, all because Stain wanted to send some stupid message. Tensei wasn't even a fake hero, he was the best hero that Iida knew!! But now that was all gone, all because Stain decided that it was his mission to rid the world of fake heros. But who was Stain to decide who was fake and who was real? He was a murderer! All he was doing was ruining lives!!

Lives like Tensei's....

Iida wasn't sure how too feel. He was sad, scared, and angry, all rolled into one. Sad that his brother had been hurt like this, scared that more heroes would suffer the same fate, and... and angry that Stain thought he had the right to hurt Tensei like this. Tensei didn't deserve to suffer like this!! If anything, Stain deserved it.

Damn it!

Midoriya awoke slowly, feeling his magic tingling at his finger tips. It was back, then. Good. He eventually opened his eyes, only to find that he was in a completely unfamiliar place. Had he been recaptured? No, this wasn't the same as the League's base, it felt more... homey, like someone would live here. And he had been sleeping on a couch, so whoever had brought him here probably wouldn't try to hurt him. At the very least, he wasn't restrained, so if he needed to, he could escape. He looked around, trying to see if he could identify where exactly he was.

While he couldn't figure it out, he found that his hat had been sitting next to him, and after inspecting it to make sure it hadn't been tampered with, he put it back on his head. After a moment, he noticed a humming noise coming from a different room. Whoever had brought him here must be awake, then. That, or they lived here with someone else... Either way, he didn't know anything about this person, or whether they had malicious intent or not. After a moment of debating with himself, Midoriya decided to investigate, and see if it helped the situation any. He silently creeped over, peeking into the doorway.

The room looked to be a kitchen, although a bit small. In front of the stove stood a taller figure, with curly black hair. The figure's back was turned towards him, but even so, Midoriya could recognize that figure anywhere. The man who would take him out stargazing and pointing out different constellations to him. The man who used to give him piggyback rides whenever he felt a bit too tired to keep walking. The man who would give him comforting hugs when he was sad, and reassure him that things would be okay. In a hushed voice, Midoriya called out, "..Dad?"

The man turned around, and seeing his face only futher confirmed it in his mind. Tears filling his eyes, Midoriya darted forward, wrapping Hisashi in a hug. Hisashi froze in surprise only for a moment, before returning the hug. It was warm and comforting, just like how things used to be before Hisashi had disappeared. The thought only made Midoriya cry more, burying his face into his dad's shirt as he sobbed. "Dad...! I missed you... I-I missed you so-so much..." Hisashi hummed, rubbing circles on his back, "I know, Izuku... I missed you too."

They stayed like that awhile, until eventually Hisashi said "I made breakfast, if you want some." Midoriya nodded slowly, "Y-Yeah.. yeah, th-that sounds good.." He pulled away, wiping away his tears with his sleeve. Midoriya gave a shaky smile, which Hisashi returned easily.

They both sat at the dining table, dishes in front of them. "I believe I have some explaining to do, huh?" Hisashi said.

Shinsou walked away from the police station, still in his vigilante costume, apart from the mask. Luckily, he wasn't really recognizable as Neko without it, so hopefully, no one would notice. He had just given the lead detective a note with both the League's location, and the fact that while Midoriya had gotten out, he didn't know where he was. Now, all he really wanted to do was go home and take a nap. Yeah, that seemed like a good idea. No one from Gen Ed would notice he was missing, except maybe their homeroom teacher Present Mic.
