"What the hell did just happen?" I blurted out, breaking the eerie silence.

We were now in a nearby coffee shop, sitting on six chairs as we scanned the menu.

The moment that dude popped in our cabin with his poor presentation, he immediately tried hyping us up by making us do in-door 'friendship' games. That just made us more tired before we even started the camp ceremony. 

The ceremony wasn't much. It was okay, and I'm not going to bother going through details. Mr. CB made a little speech and welcomed new campers in the camp, followed by other staff. Later on, we proceeded to eat food and played camp games. By the time it all ended, it was already 2 PM and we were so exhausted, we decided to stop by the coffee shop and relax for a bit.

Ulysses looked up from his menu book. "We got scammed, that's what happened."

Cole began, "For the second time, it's not a scam if there's no money involved in—"

Ulysses waved his hand. "Whatever, smart guy."

"It wasn't that bad for a camp," Pink went back and forth from page to page. She gave Maigo and Ash a bright smile. "You two have been pretty quiet. What did you two think?"

Maigo started translating for Ash but he stopped her. 

It was okay. He signed. A little too crowded for my taste, but it's a camp so what can I say?

Pink caught on, trying to translate the words to herself. "Ah.. well, give it another chance. First days on camp are usually less entertaining." She said while signing.

Maigo gave her a questioning look. "Since when have you known how to sign?"

Ulysses and Cole looked up and gave her a curious look too.

Pink let out a small laugh. "I'm not that good, but I'm learning. Back when I met Ash, I didn't know how to sign at all. I decided to learn after meeting him."

Ash smiled and signed, Thank you.

Cole's icy blue eyes twinkled in delight. "Man. You're amazing, Pink. We should all learn for our little pal right here." He gave Ash a light pat on the back.

My best friend started blushing and she quickly put the menu book in front of her face. "Guys, I'll tell the orders to the waiter. What do you all want?"

When we finished giving her our orders, she stood up and started heading to the counter.

"Hey, I'll go too," Ulysses called out, following her from behind.

With both of them together, they look like double strawberry cream cakes with their pink hairs.

When they both were gone, Cole turned to me with a smile. "So?"

I raised an eyebrow. "So?"

"You like Ulysses?"

I choked on air. "Gross?"

Maigo let out a sigh. "I think he likes you."

Cole's eyes widened. "If this genius approves, it's decided."

Ash spelled out, S-h-i-p.

I rolled my eyes and grumbled, "Since your heads are clearly not functioning right, you guys need warm tea to cool them off?  We could order that."

Cole smirked. "Why were you holding his hand back then? Plus you two seemed to have been having a deep conversation before that."

For a second, my mind went blank. "I held his hand? What are you... oh."

"Oh, indeed." The three of them nodded in understanding.

I felt the heat travel from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. "It wasn't like that."

"What wasn't like that?" Ulysses popped up from behind me, I automatically smacked him up on the jaw. He glared at me and rubbed his skin. "What the hell is your problem?"

"Maybe you have the knowledge to not creep up on people because you might end up getting hit or giving them a heart attack, or you're that dumb?" I scoffed.

He narrowed his eyes at me and placed a chocolate-mint smoothie—the one I ordered—in front of me on the table. "You're welcome, princess." He then went back to the counter, where Pink was.

Maigo, Cole, and Ash all gave me funny looks.

I knit my eyebrows. "What?"

Maigo looked at me blankly and fixed her glasses. "From my highly intelligent quotient, Ulysses just brought your smoothie first to the table."

"So?"

All three of them let out an exasperated sigh simultaneously, and the Snows returned with a tray of drinks in their hands. They handed each of them to everyone.

Pink slid back to her seat next to me and took a whiff of her iced coffee. "I hope you guys are going back tomorrow. It's only the first day."

Everyone went silent and busied themselves with their drinks.

"Maybe," Cole shrugged, which sent everyone cracking up.
