No.
A tear fell out of her eye.
Sorry, Marinette.
She fought the sobs threatening to burst out.
Stop interfering.
His voice got louder and louder, echoing in her skull, making it want to explode.
Kagami, there you are!
His voice faded away until only Kagami's laughter filled her head.
Her horrible, witch-like laugh.
Her laugh, that filled her head with hate forever.
I'm so glad you came.
His voice sounded like nails digging into her skull, threatening to break it.
Me too.
Her sweet, honey-coated voice brought out another side of Marinette.
You look great today.
An angry side.
You never looked more handsome.
An anger so intense it could melt fire.
Thank you, Kagami.
Anger that had to be buried deep inside her injured soul.
Don't let your anger show. Don't let the anger control you.
She pushed it down, hard. Mentally sweating, she finally got the last of it out of her head.
Marinette?
She wouldn't let it take charge of her.
Marinette, are you alright?
She would move on.
Mari, are you crying?
She won't cry.
Don't worry, you'd be okay.
She would be strong.
Stay strong. He's just a jerk.
Strong.
Let's get you poor baby back.
But how to be strong?
She wiped her tears away. She knew what to do. She knew how she could be strong.
She clearly had the wrong definition of strong.

Her face painted with hurt.
He regretted uttering those words.
Her eyes brimming with tears.
"Marinette, come back!"
Her lips trembling hard.
A pit of helplessness growing inside him.
"You jerk," she spat out.
As her words registered into his mind, he felt an unbearable pain in his heart.
Her turning her back to him.
He wanted to say something, say "Marinette, please," or anything at all.
Her storming off.
His lips were not working.
Beautiful, short blue hair came into focus.
The pain cleared, and it seemed like shafts of sunlight were peeking through grey, dark clouds. Angry, stormy clouds ruining the beautiful day.
That's all she is.
A cloud. Someone in the way.
"Hey, Adrien."
She would never be his friend. She would only be a problem. A problem that he needed to solve, or push away until it never came back to bother him anymore.
"Me too."
Kagami was exceptionally beautiful today.
"You never looked more handsome."
Maybe it looked that way because she was a distraction from the pain.
"Thank you, Kagami."
The pain slowly subsided.
She moved forward, slipping her hand into his, pulling him together with her.
He would never think of Marinette ever again.
