ch. 47
"MOMMY!! how's this dress??", eri asked as she twirled around.
"you look absolutely beautiful, eri!", nanako complimented.
currently, eri was trying on dresses since she was going to be the flower girl for nanako and tomura's wedding. all dresses were cute but there was one that eri particularly liked. it was a short white dress that had flower patterns all over it.
"kurogiri, how are the invitations coming along?", nanako asked.
"the ones to the villains are set. I just need to make the ones for the heroes. by the way, princess nanako, are you sure you want to invite miss itsuka?", kurogiri questioned.
nanako sighed. "yes. despite what she did, she's still my sister. and without her, I feel like it wouldn't be the same".
kurogiri simply nodded. tomura's suit was already made since twice had made one originally for him and momo's wedding. however, nanako asked that twice add some gold lining to make it shine more, to which twice complied.
the decorations were being prepared and the wedding location is set to be in between the two kingdoms. the vows would be said under a wedding arch outside, then the party would continue inside a fancy building that's close by.
"tomura, are we still going wine tasting today?", nanako asked.
"if you want, love. I still have some documents to do but I can go with—"
"no no, don't worry about it! you have your things to take care of, I'll bring dabi with me", nanako smiled.
tomura sighed. "I'm sorry—"
"don't be, tomura. everything's going to be okay. just finish your documents and I'll be back soon", nanako said as she gave him a peck to the cheek.
tomura nodded as he hesitantly let her go with dabi. once her and dabi were out of view, tomura immediately went to his paperwork.

"say dabi, what do you think of this one?", I asked.
"mmm...it's not really my taste...I like beer better", he said.
"well, in that case. we'll take the red and white wine, beer, and champagne", nanako ordered. the store clerk quickly went to go get everything prepared so that they could actually deliver the order on the wedding day.
after the order, we left the store. we proceeded to go to the store in which we ordered the flowers ahead of time. they told us that everything was set and that it'll be delivered the morning of.
feeling satisfied, I walked back to the carriage with dabi.
everything was going well.

"IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME?!", nanako screamed as she stood in front of tomura's desk.
"it's not that big of a deal, nana. I'm just turning twenty-one", tomura calmly replied.
nanako was currently fuming. her and tomura have been so busy the entire month of febuary and march, that tomura's birthday totally flew over her mind.
currently, it was april 4th and tomura was still occupied with a stack of paperwork. apparently handling duties and wedding planning wasn't really a good combination. tomura's been so stressed lately that his aggravation has rose severely.
"listen tomu, all of our wedding preparations are almost done, so you only have to worry about your paperwork. and once you're done, come meet me in my room", nanako said.
"but it's going to take forever", tomura whined. "at least until almost midnight".
"it's okay. I'll wait. plus, I'll have eri and the rest to keep me company".
"can't you just stay?", tomura asked as he was getting light headed from all these words. he rubbed his head aggressively, trying to shoo the headache away.
nanako walked over to him and removed his hands from his head. she gently rubbed circles on the side of tomura's head.
"I wish I could love, but I'll only distract you. I promise you I'll see you later", nana said as she kissed the top of tomura's head.
once she left, tomura sighed. he quickly went back to work so that he could spend more time with nanako.

it was half past 11 o'clock and tomura finally put his pen down. he rushed out of his office and into nanako's room.
however, he only found a letter on her bed. it directed him to outside, where he found another letter.
following the letter's directions, tomura arrived at a familiar scene. it was just like the first time nanako had fed him. when she had set up hot pot because she claimed that tomura must've been homesick.
"i-is this...?", tomura breathed out.
"surprise!! I luckily had bakugo, kirishima, dabi, and himiko help set up all the lanterns. then I had your father tell me what you liked in a hot pot. so everything you see here was technically a group effort", nana said, smiling.
tomura couldn't believe it. tomura himself was busy, and so was nanako. to take time out of her day and set everything up for him, it truly meant a lot.
tomura walked over to nanako who had a big smile on her face.
"well, let's get to eating, even though it's almost midnight", nana pouted.
tomura smiled. they quickly boiled the water and started drowning the vegetables and meats in the pot. as they were cooking, toga brought out a heart shaped cake.
"I baked it", nanako said proudly. there was a candle and it was lit.
tomura was surprised. toga quickly left the couple alone while snickering at his surprised (pikachu) face.
"make a wish love", nanako said.
tomura closed his eyes and wished, even though he thought it was silly.
'I wish to be forever with you'
tomura opened his eyes and blew out the candle. the water immediately started bubbling and the food was almost overfilling.
quickly, they ate to their hearts content. and as usual, nanako would feed tomura here and there. once they were satisfied, nanako brought out something else.
"what are these?", tomura asked, confused.
"I didn't want to wake the whole palace up at midnight with loud fireworks so I got us sparklers!!", nanako exclaimed.
she lit them up, giving two to tomura. tomura looked at them in awe. even though it wasn't as grand as those big fireworks, it was definitely still beautiful.
"happy birthday tenko", nanako spoke softly.
"I love you so much, kayama nanako", tomura whispered.
"and I love you too, shimura tenko".
they spent the rest of the night staying with each other. although both were exhausted from all that's been going on. they knew it'd be worth it in the end, as they were going to get married.
