Background: this is before you and Adrien started dating and were still in the friendship stage. Anyway, it was the day after the last day of school, so you, Adrien, Marinette, Alya, Rose, Juleka, Chloe, Sabrina, Kim, Nino, Max, Mylene, Ivan, Nathaniel, Kagami, and Alix all decided to spend the day just hanging out doing whatever your hearts desired.

Let's just say that you weren't too keen on the idea of going out and hanging out with your friend group due to a certain person who was also attending: Kim. He had started flirting with you and seemed to be taking his time to really get to know the real you, not the (supermodel, singer, content creator, famous influencer, whatever you choose) persona you put on for those around you. He had other plans, plans you soon saw with your own eyes as you caught him hanging out with Chloe; using the same gestures, words, everything he had done to you was now done to someone else.

You didn't have any real attachment to him, nor did you have a crush on him. He was just a good distractor and a friend from when Kagami and Adrien were together. You didn't have the will nor confidence to breakup or get in the way of whatever they had going on. You just weren't that type of person. So you opted to find something to distract you from your aching heart at seeing the two of them together. Kim showed up first so he was the 'lucky' winner.

Y/n's POV

"I don't wanna gooooo! My bed is too comfy to leave pleaaase!" I whine as I feel Alya rip the big fluffy f/c covers off me. "C'mon! We're gonna be late on meeting them! Alya, you Alix, and Juleka pack a small bag for her containing a swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen, her wallet, a water bottel, and maybe some painkillers? The rest of the girls and I will get Y/n out of bed. Oh! And Rose, could you talk to Y/n's stylist to get her an outfit for today? If I went inside her closet I would be coming out for a very long time" Marinette said, making me groan.

"Sir yes sir!" Alya chuckled along with the rest of the girls as they soon got to work.

"Y/n, I know you're sad about Kim, but there are BILLIONS more fish in the sea-"

"Mari, it's not that-" I say as I sit up in bed and stretch my arms up, seeing no use in really trying to fight them off any longer. "It's just I'm gonna have to watch all my best friends huddled up in their cute little fantasy worlds with their boyfriends, being all couple-y. I honestly don't mind it seeing you guys so happy, don't get me wrong! I just, I wish I could have that with someone..."

Marinette, Juleka, and Melene came and hugged me, saying things that I assume would be words of encouragement but I couldn't decipher what each of them were say all at the same time. I just smiled and sighed, pulling away from the hug a bit and standing up confidently.

"You know what? I can't give up! There are billions of fish in the sea, on of them is bound to be my soulmate. I just have to get out and find him!....and not be so stuck on my blonde best friend" I mumble the last part, my smile growing as I look at each of my friends' faces in front of me.

"Atta girl!" Alix said, smirking as she walks in with Alya, whos holding a small bag, and Rose who was holding a pair of clothes. They gave me the items in there hands and I walked into my bathroom, doing my usual morning routine.

-TIME SKIP TO WHEN THEY ALL MEET AT THE DOCS BY JULEKA'S HOUSE-

"Now I remember why I pick out my own clothes..." I mumble, making Marinette gasp.

"Y/n, I love you, but sometimes the same T-shirt, jeans, leggings, or hoodie doesn't cut it. It's a nice refresher to see you in such a GORGEOUS outfit" Marinette said excitedly, smiling as she looks up and down my outfit for like the 30th time.

"Marinette, if you like it so much, you can have it once we get back to my house-"

"Really?! OMG I promise to give it back to you, I just wanna study the techniques and materials used"

I chuckle, then look straight forward as we stopped right in front of the guys and Kagami, Chloe, and Sabrina.

"NATHAN! ISN'T Y/N's OUTFIT AMAZING!" Mari squealed as she and the others stood in front of or next to their respective partners.

"Yeah, it's a great outfit. Hugs all the right places..." Kim said out loud, literally drooling all over the sidewalk as he stared at me. Max, who was standing nearest to Kim, smacked the back of his head lightly forcing Kim out of his daze.

I giggle upon seeing this scene then smile at Max as a 'thank you', making him blush slightly and give a shy smile back.

"Yeah, you do look beautiful Y/n...I-I mean you always look beautiful but you really out did yourself-" Adrien stuttered, making Kagami glare lightly at him as he continued to stare at me.

"Nah, it was the stylist I never use doing. She picked it out. Now stop being a creep and staring at me, can't you tell your girlfriend is getting uncomfortable?" I sass as I spin on my heal and start walking away onto the boat to greet Luka.

Adrien's POV

"G-girlfriend...?" Adrien questions as he beings to connect the dots, then look at Kagami with a bewithered expression just as everyone else started walking towards the boat with Y/n.

Kagami looks at me with her well known poker face, then she sighs before speaking.

"Yes. You took me out on a date so I assumed you felt the same way I felt about you" Kagami said. I blushed a little, smiling bashfully.

"What? No- I mean, I did at one point but a single date does not mean we are automatically together. It could mean to people with similar interests or in our case- two people who like each other and want to get to know each other more by spending time with one another. Then, once you know for sure that you are compatible with that person, you then move to the next step. Yes we did those out of order, but I don't see myself moving to the next step. I thought we were just friends getting to know each other better, seeing if we could make something work. When I realized that it wouldn't, I stopped at the first date and have been hanging out with you because you are my friend. I didn't ask for you to be my girlfriend..." I say. Kagami sighs.

"You like Y/n, huh? I should've seen it coming. I don't think she feels the same way about you, I think she is with Kim. She's been hanging out with him a lot recently..."

My heart shatters hearing the last part, as I come to the realization of just how much time I've been spending with Kagami, leaving Y/n by herself.

"It's alright if you don't feel the same way I do for you, and I apologize for the mix-up. Now that we got that out of the, can we continue being friends and go enjoy what seems to be a party on the boat?" Kagami says as she bows in apology, then holds out her hand to lead me up the said party.

"Sure" I say, putting my hand in hers as I try to calm my aching heart. I look at the boat and see Y/n smile then hug Luka, pulling away slightly to look at him as she laughs and respond to what Luka's saying.

Y/N's POV

"Luka! It's great to see you! It's been too long" I say as I walk up and hug him. He has always been like a brother to me. My only brother out of my crazy friend-sister like group.

"I know! It's been too long. Even my mom was starting to miss you, and that never happens"

I chuckle as I pull away from the hug a little to look him in the eyes.

"I guess the world really is ending" I state, in which he smiles and nods in agreement as he pulls away from me. He then appears behind me, his brows raised at the sight behind me. This made me grown internally.

"He's staring again, isn't he?" I say

"Not only that, but Chloe is yelling at him; but I don't think anything is getting processed through his brain- oh, never mind. Now it is. He just got bobbed in the head"

"Serves him right"

"Hahah...Oh? What's wrong with Adrien and Kagami? Adrien looks like his puppy just got taken from him"

"Oh, that's because I told him off for staring a little too long at me, making Kagami look uncomfortable. They probably just got into a huge fight because of me" I sigh, looking at the ground guiltily.

"Ah, I see. Hey, don't start feeling like their fight was your fault. You should be able to wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing without having to cause trouble. It's your body. If anybody has anything to inappropriate to say about it, they will have to go through me. That, and I understand know why people are that infatuated with the outfit you have on. You look like the same Y/n to me". Luka smiled at me, making my heart melt and thank the heavens for such a calm, understanding friend.

"Yeah..."

We caught up for a couple more minutes, then Luca had to go and be a good hostess by checking on everyone else and the food and drink supply. So I stood at the front of the boat, leaning against the railing by myself. Enjoying the ocean breeze.

"Y/n! Marinette said she needed you!" a male voice says, catching my attention as I turn around and come face to face with Kim.

"Oh, ok. Where is she? I'll go now" I say, wanting to get away from his as fast and as far away from him as possible.

"Come with me, I'll show you" Kim said, as he grabbed my hand and practically dragged me into the cabin on the boat. I don't have a good feeling about this... But if Marinette is in trouble or needs something, I'm always gonna help her, no matter what or who I have to deal with in order to get to her.

I smile at my friends as they watched me being hopelessly dragged. Then Alix stopped Kim and asked what he was doing with me in which he explained that Marinette needed me.

"Do you want me to go with you Y/n?" Alix said, showing genuine concern as she looked down at my Kim tight hold on my wrist. I smiled and shook my head 'no', making her nod hesitantly as she let Kim pass her towards the cabin.

I Look around in the crowd of people on the boat, seeing if Marinette was anywhere in sight. Unfortunately, she wasn't and instead my E/c orbs land on Adrien. A hurt expression evident on his face, making me raise a brow at him in concern. Kagami is no where in sight so that concerned me.

However, before I could ponder it further, I was led into the cabin and pinned to the door of the cabin before I could really comprehend what was going on.

"Y/n, you're just so beautiful I can't hold back and be the nice guy anymore when you wear clothes like that...Screw Chloe, all I need is you" Kim utter above me, pressing his lips against mine in a rough manner.

I squirm and squeal in his grip once I realize what is happening. But all that could be heard are muffled squeals and loud music playing.

Kim removes his lips from mine and rolls over to the wall next to the door, keeping me secure in his arms as his lips move relentlessly over my collarbone and neck. I yell, calling for help, but it was no use. The music drowned out my please and cries.

Tears start to form as I feel his arms start to roam my body, and unbeknownst to me, I begin to shake as I try and push him off me.

"Don't worry, I'll be gentle and do all the work. Just be quiet and enjoy" Kim muttered against my lips, making me almost throw up and internally plead for someone to notice my disappearance before this went any further.

Adrien's POV

I saw Kim grab Y/n's hand and led her to the cabin, crushing my heart once realizing how far their relationship might've gone while I was hanging out with Kagami. I sigh. I just realized my feelings for her, and as quickly as I realized them, they will be taken away from me by Kim of all people. What does she even see in him? From what I can recall, he was with Chloe? Did they break up?

"Adrien?" a female voice questions, making me snap out of my thoughts as I look up and see Marinette and Alya's worried expressions in front of me. I put on a fake smile and chuckle at their attentiveness. It reminds me of Y/n....

"Where's Y/n?" Alya asked, making me tilt my head to the side.

"She's in the cabin with Kim"

"Oh? That's odd, she said she was done with him this morning-" Marinette said

"Marinette? Marinette! What did you need Y/n for? And why would you tell Kim, of all people to go get her for you?" Alix said, as she walked up from behind me. Marinette and Alya's expression went from puzzlement, to confusion.

"Uhh...Marinette was with Nathan, Nino, and I the entire time at the back of the ship. We were helping Luka put more food out-" Alya exclaimed.

Connecting two and two together, I push my way through the crowd along with Marinette, Alix, and Alya towards the cabin Kim took her to. No wonder it looked like Y/n was unsure! She only went with him because she thought Marinette actually needed help.

I slam open the door and lo and behold, there was a shirtless Kim on top of a teary eyed, struggling Y/n with her shirt ripped open completely.

All I can really remember is seeing red after that as I strode forward and punched Kim off of Y/n pinning him to the floor, screaming at him, holding back never really coming to mind.

"Get off of her! How dare you force yourself upon Y/n! You disgusting human being! Do you have any idea how sick it is to force yourself upon a woman who probably has been nothing but nice to you this entire time!? You sick bastard! Having to resort to such ways just to get what you want! This is gonna forever scare her! YOU will forever scare her! Do you even realize what you have done?! Or is your pee sized brain too hazy from the mere thought of having anyone by any FREAKING MEANS sucking your gosh dang dick!? Did you forget that people actually had feelings that could if forced, traumatize them for the rest of their life?! I hope she presses charges on you, I'll gladly testify as a witness and make your life a living hell till the day you die for even laying a finger on Y/N you-" I scream in his face, Kim's horrified, now swollen black-eyed face staring straight at my probably slightly pink overheated face.

"The police on the way?" I questioned in a calm voice to the people behind me, but all I can here are the soft sobs of Y/n and the whispered words of aid from Alya, Marinette, and Alix.

"Yes. That lame excuse of a man will be in jail in no time" Luca answered as he walked into the room.

"Everyone is gone too, so unfortunately we cant embarrass him by having everyone watch him get arrested. However, I think it might be best if Y/n wasn't in front of an audience" Luca said as he crouched down and gave Y/n a water.

Soon, in the distance sirens could be heard as they got closer and closer to the boat.

"Here, give this to Y/n and button it up for her for me please?" I say as I shrug off my white cardigan and extend my arm behind me where Y/n and the girls were without moving from my position on top of Kim.

Someone grabbed it and I could hear clothes rustling behind me as well as a small, weak sounding 'thank you'.

My heart shattered at the sound of her voice. What I would give to cradle Y/n in my arms and protect her from this harsh world. To love her and cherish her, to make her laugh and feel safe right about now...

Y/N's POV

Everything is unrecognizable, and my tears don't seem to have an end as I bring my shaking limbs into a tight embrace, curling myself into a ball. I hear distant voices and sirens, everything seemed to be moving so fast yet so slow. My mind complete mush, and just wanting Adrien's warmth right now because I felt as if I was ice cold even with Adrien's cardigan around me.

"Ma'am... were you hurt?.....hospital.....evidence....."

A cold hand was put on my shoulder, making me flinch as I stare up in horror at a female police officer. I could tell she was talking, but none of it sounded like English. Then I saw more police officers walk in, making really understand and put the situation into perspective as I start to panic.

"Stop! You're scaring her!" a male voice said as he rushed his way past the officers. My eyes got more and more blurry as I begin to see the room spin then suddenly go black as all my senses vanish.

TIME SKIP TO A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER THE INCIDENT

"Kim and I were never a couple, we were great friends who flirted with each other from time to time, but nothing more until that day. I used his as a distraction from you, actually. It made my heart ache seeing you with Kagami and how you so willingly left me for her..." I explain to Adrien who was sitting on the fluffy f/c couch cushion in front of me.

"Well, Kagami and I were never a couple either. She just told everyone that and made everyone think that because she thought that one date meant that we were automatically boyfriend and girlfriend. But after that date, I realized I never did like her. I liked...you. I have liked you for the longest time" Adrien confessed, blushing as he gazed at me.

I smile, happiness overwhelming me as I softly said "I like you...No, I take that back. I probably love you if anything"

"I love you too, Y/n. I always have, and always will" He stated sincerely as he scooted closer to me.

"May I kiss you?"

My heart melted, then I nodded slightly as he and I leaned in towards each other. Pressing our lips against one another in a soft, loving kiss. I smiled against his lips feeling like the happiest person in the world. No, I am the happiest girl in the world. Nothing could make it any better, this is perfect.

Adrien pulled away and stared into my eyes, the asked "Y/n M/n L/n, would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Scratch what I said before, NOW I'm the happiest girl in the world.

"Yes!"
