Back story:

Y/n, a popular and girly model who wears pastel colors and seems innocent, someone who wouldn't dare hurting a fly; A kind and caring person who has every guy swooning for her. But really, she only into two guys (technically one), Adrien and Chat. But what happens when the both "reject" her non-spoken feelings? Especially, when this event happens only days away from a special Haloween event? Does she sink and let Hawkmoth get to her, or float?

Y/n's giggles as Adrien (tries to) finish telling her a funny experience he had as they sit down side by side on a bench inside the schools courtyard. Once the laughter dies down, Adrien gives suddenly gets quiet.

"What's wrong, Adrien?"

"I need some advice right now.... About a girl"

"Ooooo A girl?"

"Yeah. We see each other all the time because we study together, we've just been friends, y'know? Until recently.... Now I'm starting to see her differently. I want to take try and ask her to the Halloween dance that's coming up. But how do I ask her?"

"Awwww! So who's the lucky girl? If you want information, you gotta exchange some of details first" Y/n giggles. She's had a small crush on her blonde friend, secretly hoping her names slips from his lips as she gazes at him.

Adrien's eyes widen, as a slightly panicked look overtook his face. "It's.... Uhhh....Kagami?... I mean, yes! It's... Kagami... " Adrien uttered, his voice becoming a whisper towards the end.   

Y/n's face hardened for a moment, before she forced her fake "picture perfect" smile upon her face. "Oh! Kagami... She's a simple gal. Maybe ask her while you fencing or something! Oh, would you look at the time. I'm going to be late to my photoshoot if I don't go now. Good luck, Adrien. Call if you need anything or if anything happens!" Y/n says, standing up and waving goodbye to Adrien as she exits the school.

"Nice pink jacket, Y/n!" a fan shouted to her on her way out the door, making Y/n flash a dizzying smile towards him; making all the guys nearby soon, including me.

Once Adrien knows she's out of site, he angrily beats himself up on the inside for screwing up his chance to ask Y/n to the dance.

~~~~The Next Day~~~~

Y/n jumps from roof to roof, her body feeling heavier than usual as she tried to keep her cheerful/sassy façade on. "Where are you LB and Chat- *CRASH*-nevermind"

She effortlessly glides and jumps through the air, coming closer and closer to the Akumatized mess. However, upon hearing LB and Chats voices made her turn away and go in the opposite direction.

But little did she know, that what she was about to hear, was an illusion created by none other than Lila...

Behind a wall, away from Paris's vision, Chat had Ladybug pinned to a wall. Y/n, was about to round the corner in and see that two in this position, but stopped by the wall just before the corner.

"Chat, we can't be doing this right now. We have an Akumatized villan to deal with! Plus, our relationship is supposed to be secret! Luna could come swoop in any second now-"

"Oh bugaboo, let me have a little fun. So what if Luna shows up. Its not like me and her were anything. I only flirted with her to pass the time and make you jealous. Give me one more kiss, then I'll let you go so we can deal with the Akuma and Luna" Chat cooed.

Y/n eyes stung as she held back hot tears threatening to spill out.  Swiftly, and quietly removing herself from the situation so as to not hear anything more. "Ready Hawkmoth?" Lila stepped out from the shadows, the Ladybug and Chat Noir figures Turing to smoke behind her as she smirked at Luna Moon's retreating figure.

"Let's see how long she'll hold up after knowing all of that. Now I gotta go get ready for a dance being thrown about school. The sooner I get ready, the more of a chance I'll have to beat that spoiled brat Y/n at becoming Haloween Queen. Bye Hawkmoth!" Lila snickered as she walked off.

"Zurri, lights on" Y/n's voice cracked as she entered her room through her open patio door. Zurri swirled out of the gold bracelet, a equally depressed expression evident on her features. "Y/n... " Zurri said softly as she flew next to Y/n's bed, which now held her collapsed and shaking figure.

"I thought Adrien... Adrien clearly showed in his actions that he liked me more than a friend. Did he not? And Chat, oh Chat. He and Ladybug had the audacity to ask me why I was tearing up, they had the courage to act like they cared about me. I..... I help everyone around me so much that I sometimes forget about my own health. How... Why would people do this to me when I've done so much for them?" Y/n whimpered, her heart shattering completely as she voices the thing that has been eating her up.

"Oh Y/n...." Zurri hugged Y/n's cheek in a comforting manner, making Y/n sit up and look at her Kwami friend. "Its not your fault... I'm fine. I'm fine. I'll get through this" Y/n says as she wipes away her remaining tears.

*Been* *beep* "you have one new message from Alya"

Y/n looks over at her brightly lit phone that was previously thrown in her nightstand. She picked it up and opened the message:

Alya: Girl, where are you? The party is starting and everyone is dying to see you. Everything alright?

Y/n: Yeah. Sorry I'll be late. Slept in late. I'll be there in a little.

Y/n closed the phone, got up soundless, grabbed her dress and walked into the bathroom.

Y/n's POV:

I begin the process of making myself look presentable. However, my mind kept wandering back to Chat and Adrien, making my blood boil. "Y/n you shouldn't force yourself to go" Zurri said as she watched me worriedly.

I turn away from the mirror to face her, giving her the best smile I could manage. "I promised my friends I'd be there. I'll be fine. Go take a nap in the mean time, you look tired"

Hesitantly, Zurri nodded, giving me one last glance before flew over to my pillow to nap on. I turn back to the mirror and began to curl my hair and do my makeup. Unfortunately, this allowed my thoughts to wonder and my hands to go on pilot mode for makeup. The thought of me being so naive and stupid for believing I could make two of the hottest boys of Paris fall for me angered me.

By time I was realizing what I was doing, I saw how much more bad ass and different I looked with more bold looking makeup and curled/straight/up (your choice) hair. I smirked, seeing my new outer appearance.

"Not today Hawkmoth" I whispered as I gazed myself in the mirror. "Now, for a hold looking dress" I mumble as I walk out of the bathroom and into my closet full of bright colored clothes.

"Hmmm.... Let's try a new color. Black" I smile as a dig to the very back of my closet to find dark colored dresses I've been given but never worn from various photoshoots. I dug around for a moment, before one caught my eye, making me smile. "Perfect... "

"Hey, Alya! Where's Y/n?" Luka questioned, his back turned toward the entrance of the party while Alya was facing it. Just as Alya was about to tell at him the same answer she'd given him 15 minutes ago, her mouth dropped open.

Luka arched one brow questionably, then spun on his only to see Y/n walk. "Y/N?!?!?" Nino screeched as he choked on his soda, this made Mari, Adrien, Juleka, Rose, Alix, Max, Kim, Nathaniel, and Kagami turn to see what was happening.

"The one and only" Y/n chuckled as she walked over to her gawking group of friends. "Helllooo baby... " Kim drooled, kicking Luka out of his trance to smack him.

"What'd you say?!" Nino eyes him, making Kim chuckle nervously as he panicked "I said ahoy matey!"

"Y/n! What happened to you?" Nathaniel asked as he came up to you and hugged you.

"Nothing. Just wanted to.... Change. I was getting tired of acting so naive and princessesy so I tried something new" Y/n said as she pulled back from the hug. "Kim quit staring!" Luka growled, making Marinette giggle.

"Its not fair Adrien gets to stare!" Kim protests, making everyone in their friend group look at him.

"Adrien!" Kagami hissed, trying to get Adrien to look away from Y/n. This makes Y/n smirk and wink at him, creating a bright red blush to overflow is face.

"Betcha woulda asked me to the Haloween dance now, huh? Shouldn't have played with my feelings" Y/n mumbled as she stared at Adrien triumphantly.

Throughout the night, Adrien continued to beat himself up for not fixing his mistake and asking you instead of Kagami out.
