A Mini Chapter (semi-canon)

"Welcome! I- uh guess..." Boombox awkwardly greets as he unlocks the door to his apartment and lets you enter after him. 

You timidly let yourself in, taking your hood off.

"...nice place you have Boombox.." You tell him with a ghost smile.

Boombox simply smiled in return as he set down well- his- uhh Boombox. Dear gods thats going to to get confusing at some point....

"Well- anyhow, I'll tidy up the spare room I was talking about so you can settle in there. Afterwards I can show you around the Crossroads!" He said cheerfully.

"So while I do that- ehh feel free to explore the place a bit!" Boombox says as he shrugged, and walked off to what you'd assume was the spare room he was talking about.

You start wandering around a bit. The apartment Boombox had was fairly big, but still an apartment in a way?

You decide to familiarize yourself with the surroundings.

Looking around for a short while, you caught the gist of the most of it.

The bathroom, kitchen, you know- the basics.

Afterwards Boombox told you that you can check out the room he just tidied up for you, so you follow him there.

"Here! Eh- hopefully its alright with you." He said with a shrug and a sheepish chuckle.

The room wasn't big, but it wasn't small either, a small closet on one end and a bed, alongside that you had a nightstand and a small desk. 

Yep, its perfect for you.

"Its great! Thanks again for letting me stay with you..." You say with a ghost smile.

Boombox just grins. "No problem!"

After "settling in" (All you did was store away some spare clothes in your satchel and placed them in your new closet while Boombox basically took a 5 minute nap)

Boombox stretched as he looked over at you. 

"Hey, you still want to explore the Crossroads?" He asked you, glancing over at your cloaked figure.

You nod, before pausing. Wait- what was the currency for this world? 

The currency of the sky was gold, silver, bronze, maybe even diamonds if you had them. SO would that be similar to this world?

Should you...ask Boombox about it?

You sigh a bit, before reluctantly deciding to ask Boombox about it.

"....hey Boombox?" You utter, already dreading this.

"Yeah, what is it Tessen?" He asked, looking back at you with his usual smile.

".....whats uhm- the currency here?" You ask, rubbing the back of your head.

"Uh- Bux? Why?" He asked, a bit puzzled.

You took your pouch of coins from your satchel, opened it and took a few gold coins from it and showed it to him.

"Do these count?" You ask, unsure.

"Is that gold--" He replied, a bit dumbfounded and bewildered.

You nod your head.

"What the phuck- uhm I think there's a pawn shop nearby you can trade it at or something--"

Boombox awkwardly shrugged, trying not to panic- you guessed.

What- was gold not normal here??
