Chapter 2: Keith
I smile proudly as my students all manage to accomplish a clean double pirouette in their pointe shoes. "Good job ladies." I call over the music playing. I clicked pause and they all look at me with curiosity in their eyes.
I walk to the center of the room and get in fifth position. "Let's do Arabesque." I said, "Start in Coupé. Développé, piqué , First Position of the arms." I demonstrated, while the rest of the girls behind me either marked along or stared carefully.
After the step, I glance at the clock. '15 more minutes left.' I thought. "OK! Bring it in. From the corner to the door, pas de chat, be sure to change the legs with every set!" I instructed. I turn to the middle/front of the room as the introduction started. The most advanced girls started one at a time.
I clapped the beat of the music. The girls all did the step beautifully and once again we were at the center of the room with 2 minutes left of class. The most advanced girls in the center and front and less advance at the ends and the back.
"Fouetté," I exclaim, trying to find the right type of music. Everyone made a face. Some were annoyed and some were excited. There were no 2 faces that were the same. "To the right, then left!"
Just as the music starts, Pidge walts in sweat dripping down her forehead. "Hey Kieth." She grinned.
"Hey Pidgon." I reply, still looking at my students. She flicked my forehead. "They're doing great!" Pidge exclaimed once again. "Yes, I know." I say, blantly.
Pigde grinned sitting on the stool. "Of course you do, Mr. Kogane!" She stuck out her tongue at me. "Whatever." I huffed.
"Oh, yeah. There's a teacher meets parent thing for a new student tomorrow. So don't be late~" She said as she skipped out the door.
I groan. Allura came in and paused. "I suppose Pidge already informed you?" She asked softly in her thick accent.
I nod, letting out another groan. "Yup." My voice was thick in annoyance. Allura let out a soft laugh. "Don't worry. Hunk and Shay know the parents. And Hunk is apparently the cool uncle." She said with a grin.
I shrug. "I guess that's better than nothing. Thanks Princess." I say, with a slight smile, knowing it would annoy the woman in front of me like hell. Allura, as predicted, groaned in annoyance. "Stop calling me that!" She whined. "Nah," I reply.
"You annoying Allura again?" A voice called from the door way. Allura and I turn to meet eyes with Shiro.
"No. I just called her 'princess'" I said in a mocking voice. Allura stood there awkwardly.
"Forget it." She growled, pushing Shiro and I out of the way as she stormed off, probably gonna go talk to Shay. Shiro looked at me with a confuused look, but I just shrugged him off.
He coughed awkwardly, before waving me over, saying, "Matt is here. We should get our stuff and leave." He speaks fondly of Matt, I can tell you that they actually love each other with a burning passion.
I smile, before grabbing my bag and swinging it over my shoulder. "Let's go, Lover boy." I tease my brother as we walk out of the ballet room. Shiro turned crimson red before nodding.
He grabbed a snack from Coran, who waved us good bye. "Have a good trip! We'll see you two tomorrow!" He said, in a singsong voice, his accent very noticeable.
"Bye, Coran!" Shiro waved the kind man goodbye as he stepped outside the door, the scorching hot sun brightly hitting our face.
"Over here!" Matt's calm, sweet voice called from a car. Inside, Shiro and Matt's adoptive son, Alexander, waved at us with a toothy grin.
"DAD! UNCLE KEITH!" He squealed, jumping out of the car, unfortunate to Matt's protests.
Alexander wrapped his arms around the neck of his favorite uncle, then turning to his father, to crawl up his arms and sat on his shoulders, begging Shiro to carry him to the car.
"Dad! Please!" Alexander whined. Shiro looked over to Matt, who reluctantly nodded, a small smile forming on his lips.
Shiro grinned, standing up quickly and jumping up and down, running towards Matt and his car. Alexander screamed in excitement and Keith laughed, following his brother to the car.
Shiro had buckled Alexander's seat belt and greeted his husband by giving Matt a long, passionate kiss to the lips. Keith, who had sat down next to Alexander, was making fake gagging noises with the young boy.
When, they pulled apart, Matt was a blushing mess. "L-Let's go home." He stuttered, fumbling for the keys and starting up the car as Shiro smirked, getting in the passenger's seat. Shiro winked at Alexander and Keith as Matt drove away from the dance studio.
Keith chuckled, while Alexander giggled uncontrollably. Matt was looking to the 3 other males in the car suspiciously. "What's wrong honey?" Shiro asked innocently, placing a hand to his husband's thigh teasingly.
"N-Nothing." Matt blushed and flicked Shiro's hand away. "Now let me drive!" He exclaimed, playfully ruffling Shiro's hair. "Hey! It took me years to perfect my hair!" Shiro pouted.
Matt laughed, pulling into the garage of their small house. Shiro's pout never left his face as he stumbled out of the car. Keith and Alexander snickered at the older man's face.
Matt chuckled at his husband and pecked Shiro's pouting lips. "Sorry sweetie. Maybe tonight." He winked, before strutting into the house.
Shiro smirked, walking in after as Keith and Alexander followed. Alexander looked at me for permission. I smile bravely at him I nod. We mouth, '1, 2, 3.'
"FOOD! FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!" We chanted, pumping our fists up and down.
Luckily, Matt was already glidding across the kitchen floor. His hips swayed slightly as he raced to the refrigerator, taking out some rolls of sushi. Shiro, of course whistled as he sat at the dinner table. Alexander giggled as he sat in his seat at the table, me sitting down next to him.
"Did this while y'all were out!" Matt exclaimed, passing everyone their plate. We all laugh as we dug into the food.
The food was delicious, as always.
"Thanks mom!" Alexander called, running to his room. Once he was locking away in playing with Legos, Matt turned to Shiro and me, pouting slightly. "Why am I mom?" He whined.
Shiro and I laughed our asses off. Let's just say it was a good night for the couple, their son, and I.
