The Dream Weaver's Daughter
(WATTPAD)
Written by laurelandlarkspur
This is a magical story about curses. Faolan Mac Domnall believes his family is cursed, and when the beautiful princess Saoirse shows up in his life and proposes marriage, he believed she would be able to break his family's curse.
Saoirse on the other hand, on the day she's to present Faolan to the king and the court, speaks up in defence of her father against Aine, who curses her. This leads Faolan and Saoirse on a quest for the DreamWeaver, but they find Siofra instead—the Dreamweaver daughter, who was cursed by the fae queen.
Together, they battle the curses that threaten to unravel their destinies.
I loved everything! The writing, the characters and the perfect sprinkling of details and humour that was both enthralling and magnificent. I cannot get over how stupendous the description was, and Faolan is such a fun character. His reaction to Saoirse was just delightful to read. Faolan is so pure and enigmatic, especially with Siofra and their humour was genius!
Siofra's choice to let the curse consume her instead of trading Saoirse's soul to the queen to lift the curse, especially with that 'stardust rained from the heavens' left me in tears. So selfless, and her tiredness of the curse and the loneliness was so well portrayed.
When Saoirse had to give all the weavings away, I had a sense she was well on her way to breaking the curse.
breaking the curse.
How this went from Faolan's reverie of Saoirse to his quest to break the curse and then happening upon his Dreamweaver. Oh, such a sweet, tingling story of the unexpected and unanticipated happenings of life and fate. This was a magical tale of true love, kindness, self-discovery and bravery.
Love is built on risks.

Secret Obsessions
(KINDLE EDITION)
Written by Stacie Evans
This is book two in The One Series and follows Uturn as they become the newest hit on the pop scene in the USA. They spread their wings and start to attack the European market as well.
As they try to maintain some control of their music and image, they fight with the everyday problems of being members of a popular band. High school bullies and enemies are a constant source of stress as they continually threaten to derail Uturn with schemes to break them up or reveal secrets better left untold.
Despite it all, strong leadership from Alyson and Andrew keeps everything on track as Uturn moves forward into new territory as a band.
This is a well-written trip into teen drama dealing with issues every kid needs to face. Although there are some cheesy clichés employed, they fit the mood and the time period perfectly.
If you want an intensely emotional journey through the lives of teenagers as they become famous stars, this is the book for you. Personally, I found the themes the author explores as relevant now and even pertinent to this grandmother's teenage angst way back when.

Tainted Perfections
(WATTPAD)
Written by WhiteCoconut23
Tainted Perfections is a romance/coming of age story set in the late 1990s. It is about two guys, high school senior Todd Hitcher and a struggling actor named Tony Summer, both live different lives a few years apart from each other. They cross paths and things get interesting. The two guys have their own set of issues and struggles, from job prospects to their sexual identities. Even those around them have their problems.
As of this article, this story has roughly 142k reads, so it is or was at one point, a popular book on Wattpad. The author had said he was in the process of rewriting the story, that it was very different from the original version. I never read the original, but I have read this version, and I think it's an amazing story. Unfortunately, it is incomplete, but it does have important subjects, such as bullying and the effects of coming out. It's more than two guys eventually falling in love with each other.
I decided to do this review as he is a friend of mine. He had been going through a serious medical situation. I hope he pulls through and recovers. I wanted to honour him by doing this, letting everyone know about this work. I hope he'll one day complete this work, showing the world how amazingly written this is.
If you're eighteen and over, and okay with reading LGBTQ+ stories, definitely check this workout. Also, he does have some music out on streaming platforms, so give him some love as well!

The Unnamed
(INKITT)
Written by @rebecca_johnsonjwriter
It's rare for me to read a book on Inkitt in one sitting. Today I sat horrified biting my nails as I read the entire book as fast as I could scroll down the pages.
When an upstart reality survival show runs up against a legend of horrific proportions it makes for a terrifying confrontation for Kerri when she finally figures out what was going thump in the woods. And that is all I'm going to say about the plot lines.
The author has written a riveting tale based on North American Tribal legend. It is incredibly well researched, and I applaud her skilful ability to bring this tale to life. I guarantee your heart will race right along with Kerri's as she strives to escape the unnamed.
Read it yourself and tell me if you will ever go camping in the woods again.
This one needs to be published. Go for it!
