Spotlight
Member of The Month: Isabel | Sugar_And_Spice125
Interviewed by: Lora | WordSmith001
Interviewer: I'll be doing your spotlight interview.
So How long have you been a part of the community, and why did you join?
Isabel: I've been a part of the community for about 4-5 months now, and I decided to join because I was looking for a new writing community to join and Karin suggested your community
Interviewer: Oh yeah I remember that. It's been great having you on the team. What's your role here, and what's been your favourite project so far?
Isabel: My role here in the community is an interviewer and a magazine designer. My favourite part is when I get to make the banners and covers for the magazines. I don't know why I just like making banners. The application I use is very satisfying. I also like doing the interviews with people in the community
Interviewer: Your designs are gorgeous, I don't get tired of saying that . What's one thing - either writing-related or not - you learned in the last month?
Isabel: One thing I learned this month that's writing related is that apparently I use a lot of commas in my writing and that I sometimes us words that sound that same but are spelled differently, and I use them in the wrong context. Luckily I have and editor, so she's helping me fix it
Interviewer: There's always something with writing. Great that you're getting help from an editor. Tell us something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
Isabel: Well I'm double-jointed on both my arms, so I can pull them behind my back really far, and it won't hurt
Interviewer: Wow! That is awesome!
Isabel: Thanks!
Interviewer: To conclude, tell us the last book you read and what advice would you give to someone interested in graphic design?
Isabel: The last book I read was for English class today, and it was Their Eyes Were Watching God. Some advice I would give to someone interested in graphics design is to make it your own. I think there's a lot of graphics designers that are fancy with their designs, but I just say keep it simple and be yourself.
Interviewer: Their Eyes Were Watching God sounds like an interesting book.
Isabel: Yeah it's pretty good.
Interviewer: Thank you for taking time out of your day for the interview.
Admin of The Month: Athena | _ag926_
Interviewed by: Lora | WordSmith001
Interviewer: Hey Athena, I'm your interviewer for your spotlight interview. Congrats on winning that BTW.
Athena: Alrighty, thank you.
Interviewer: How long have you been with Coalition and what do you do here?
Athena: I've been with Coalition ever since the book club began back in 2019 and ever since, I've been one of the book club admins on it. In the community, I've had various roles, but I am currently in charge of Social Media along with Uvuniverse.
Interviewer: How did you get into writing, and what do you do when you're not writing?
Athena: Weirdly, I started writing because of a dream and that's how I began writing Athena Wolfborn, and now I am working on War. When I'm not writing, I'm almost always working on a new paper art piece.
Interviewer: What's your favourite part of your role at Coalition?
Athena: I like that Coalition is like a family for writers and how supportive everyone is of each other. It really makes me glad that I chose to be a part of all this 2 years ago.
Interviewer: If given a chance, what would you like to be for a day?
Athena: Well, that really is a question, isn't it? I haven't ever thought about it because I'm quite content being me and working on making myself be a better person and working on things I love.
Interviewer: Any random facts you could share with us?
Athena: Random fact, hmm. A baby puffin is called a puffling. Also, they are super cute!
Interviewer: Excellent! Thank you for taking the time.
Athena: Thank you for giving me the opportunity
