The Captain clutched the headband tight in his hands his shoulders softly quaking as he blinked tears out of his eyes. His ringing ears slowly faded away as he heard cries for him before someone hit the floor beside him and seized his shoulder.
"Captain!" Elias snapped out, hands clutching the cyanette's shoulders as he stared in concern. Eyes flicking to the body of Atlas for a few seconds, before prying away to look at his captain. The Captain brushed him off as he stood up.
"We must move quickly, we don't have much time. He didn't notice I mixed Lotus in his wine." The Captain said, pushing back his hair as he wrapped the headband around his head, securing it on his head tightly before wiping off his tears.
"Mark my words now, this is not the end." The cyanette stated sharply, his voice still hoarse from his sobs for Atlas.
"But Captain, what'll we do with our fallen friends?" Elias inquired as he stood up with the Captain with the concern still clear on his face, he stood three inches taller than the Captain who stood at 6' exact.
"Remember them."'The Captain said flatly, his eyes locking onto Elias's with a sharp glare. His expression hardened.
"When the fire begins to fade, for the fallen and afraid. We're the ones who carry on the flames of those who've gone. And our comrades will not die in vain." The cyanette stated with an edge of anger, turning around and walking away from Elias.
"I need all our hands on his club!" The Captain commanded, drawing his sword as stopped beside the blood-stained end of the wooden club. The memory of the way it hit Atlas flashed into his mind, he squeezed his eyes shut and kept up a cold façade.
"This is how we'rе getting outta here; use your swords to sharpen the stub and turn it into a giant spear." The cyanette said, pointing his sword to the end of the wooden weapon as his crew all locked their eyes on it.
"Let's kill 'em!" A crewman named Menelaos exclaimed, raising his sword as the others cheered or nodded in agreement to the statement of death. The Cyclops had killed their friends so he deserved to die in return, it was something all the crew could agree with.
"No!" The Captain snapped out, the crew freezing in place at their captain's sudden sharpness.
"His body is blocking the path which means if we kill him, we'll be stuck inside." The cyanette said, walking around to the back of the club, stabbing at the handle of it out of nothing other than his boredom before walking back around to the front.
"Captain, where do we attack him?" Elias asked as he stepped forward towards him, hand placed on the pommel of his sword and clutching it tightly.
"We going to stab him in the eye." The Captain said blankly, taking his sword to the end of the club with a thunk, the metal blade driven into the blood-stained wood. The crew nodded at his command.
"Yes, Sir!" The crew said, unsheathing their swords and sawing away at the end of the club with the sharpened metal. Slowly dulling their blades with each hit against the wood, but that wasn't a problem at the moment. All of the crew hacked at the club until it was suitably sharpened. The Captain then sheathed his sword, running around the back and grasping at the handle, Elias followed after soon joined by the rest of the crew. With a combined effort, they dragged the club up the slope to the ledge, setting it down as breaths came out in sharp pants. The cyanette kept taking quick, heavy breaths but started to push the club to spin it around to point the sharp end towards the edge. The crew joined in once more as the wood slid across the hard rock before positioning themselves at the handle as they all panted to pull some air back into their lungs. The Captain's brow furrowed as he anchored himself behind the club. The crew followed suit, digging their nails at the handle in an attempt to hold onto the wood.
"Now!" The cyanette screeched, pushing the club forward. The club slowly slid off the cliff face, and then slowly dragged everyone down with it. Yelps, gasps and screeches of his crew sounded around him as the wind rushed up him. Pushing his hair and cloak upwards and almost his toga if it weren't for his thighs clutching at the fabric. The sharpened club plunged into the Cyclops's eye, it let out a roar of pain as the spear broke its eye, splitting through all the layers and spilling liquids. Everyone fell to the stone floor, the sudden sharp coldness and slam against the rock making minor pain shoot through everyone. The Cyclops sat up as it took its club in hand, pulling it out.
"Scatter!" The Captain screeched as he got to his feet and ran, taking Elias's hand and dragging him away from the Cyclops. Elias was confused but began running as well as the Cyclops let out another roar. The cyanette felt adrenaline rush through his body as he looked into the darkness of the cave and saw eyes in the darkness, two of them. Large and red.
"Who hurts you?" They echoed, voices low and menacing just as the newly blinded Cyclops. Elias's face settled into fear.
"There are more of them?" Elias whispered to the Captain, who pushed him forward, now walking to not bring attention to them.
"Hide!" The cyanette spat, shoving Elias behind a rock as he joined, grasping his shoulder to keep him down.
"Who hurts you?" They echoed, two more eyes appearing in the darkness. The Captain could practically hear Elias's heartbeat racing in his chest, and the cyanette would be lying if he wasn't doing the same.
"Who hurts you?" More Cyclopes appeared, and two more eyes added to the group in the darkness. Elias's hand gripped the Captain's as he tugged it with a shaking grip.
"Captain! We should run!" Elias whispered urgently, trying to get to his feet and take the cyanette up with him as fear flooded into his every limb.
"Wait." The Captain said, dragging Elias back to the floor. Struggling with the taller but managing to trap him to the floor by clutching at his tunic and using his leg to clutch around his waist. Keeping him down to the floor.
"Who hurts you?" More said, two more eyes added to the mix. Ten eyes were visible in the darkness of the cave, each hosting a Cyclops hidden by the darkness of the cave.
"Captain, please!" Elias pleaded, trying to struggle away from the cyanette who simply fought to keep him down. Eventually ending up locking Elias into a headlock.
"Wait!" The Captain hissed out, still fighting to keep Elias down. The dirty blonde eventually stilled, finding struggling against the cyanette useless, especially as he was kept in a headlock with the Captain's legs squeezing his abdomen.
"It was Nobody!" The blinded Cyclops spoke, hands moving to its eye - or lack of eye in this case. Covering the bleeding mess of the eye socket.
"If nobody hurts you, be silent." The Cyclopes said, their eyes shut as the darkness returned to simply void once more. One of the blinded Cyclops's hands pulled away from its face to reach out to where it presumed the others were.
"Don't go!" The blind Cyclops called out in vain. The Captain released Elias from his hold getting to his feet, ushering his crew over as soon as he saw some heads appear from behind objects. Elias got to his feet, straightening himself out and fixing his hair.
"Let's grab the sheep and go." The cyanette said, waving his hand to his crew as they wordlessly ran off. Using their swords to strike down some extra sheep before picking them up and running out of the cave. Elias followed behind, the Captain trailing soon after— but was stopped by the world falling still. Aeor appears in front of him.
"Have you forgotten the lessons I taught you?" The god spat out, seizing the Captain's wrist with his hand, talon sharp nails digging into his flesh.
"He's still a threat until he's dead." Aeor reminded, slamming the cyanette's wrist down, before releasing his wrist, the golden eyes sharpened down at his protégé.
"Finish it." The mentor snarled, glaring down at the Captain with a gaze as cold as the stone beneath their feet.
"No." The Captain flatly said, glaring back at the god with a gaze equally as sharp and cold. Aeor reeled back in shock, the feathers on his wings flaring up at the response given to him.
"No?" Aeor snarled, bending down towards the mortal man in front of him. A look of rage flickered into his expression at the audacity his student was portraying.
"What good would killing do when mercy is a skill more of this world could learn to use? My friend is dead, our foe is blind. The blood we shed, it never dries!" The Captain spat out, shoving his face towards the golden-haired god as retaliation. His gaze was sharp and venomous at the god.
"Is this what it means to be a warrior of the mind?" The cyanette asked sharply, stunning Aeor temporarily, but then he turned back to the blinded Cyclops with a look of anger still present on his face.
"Don't!" Aeor called out his hand placing it on the Captain's shoulder before it was pushed off. His wings flared out in anger before the world snapped back into its original flow.
"Hey, Cyclops!" The cyanette called out, causing the blinded Cyclops to turn to where it heard the call. Elias snapped backwards, facing his Captain as his face portrayed confusion.
"When we met, I led with peace while you fed your inner beast. But my comrades will not die in vain. Remember them, the next time that you dare choose not to spare. Remember them. Remember us..." The Captain started, his eyes locked onto the blinded creature as he stood tall and firm.
"Remember me!" The cyanette said, placing a hand on his chest even if he knew the action was fruitless.
"I'm the reigning king of Iyama!" He said, splaying his arms out wide as a breeze fluttered through the cave, pushing his cloak into his body and fluttering his hair.
"I am neither man nor mythical. I am your darkest moment!" The Captain said, folding his arms back into himself before placing his hand on the hilt of his sword.
"I am the infamous..." The cyanette started, before drawing his sword the metal scraping across the sheathe before he pointed it to the rocky ceiling.
"SCOTT MAJOR!"
