"She....she used to be my bestfriend."

I could understand why his expression immediately went from confusion to shocked. A sad chuckle leaves me as I look down to avoid his contact and continue.

"You know how I live alone?" He nods and I find it hard for me to continue because of the horrible memories crashing back. He suddenly grabs my hand and slightly squeezes it which gives me a sense of comfort.

"Well it's because I left my parents 5 years ago."

"Like...."

"Yes, I ran away. Not because I wanted to but because I had to."

I sigh and he starts coming closer to me while rubbing my hand.

"We used to go to school together and were really good friends. We'd share all our secrets and we'd hangout together everyday. She was a frequent visitor at my house so my parents knew her very well. Even though we had promised to always tell eachother all our secrets, I had never known that she had one deep dark secret......

I guess one day she thought that I was trustful enough so she told me her secret.....she was a mafia...a very wanted and dangerous mafia."

His eyes grew really big and I could feel him get tensed up too.

"She used to be my best friend so of course I kept it a secret and was still hanging out with her, because we were really close and I knew she would never hurt me, I was very dear to her too. Even though at first I was a bit unsure, she was amazing and never hurt me.

Everything was going well for a while, everything went back to normal and she would always tell me her missions and adventures she'd do but always keeping some things for both our safeties. It felt great knowing she trusted me. Until one day...... I got kidnapped.

It was an evening, school ended and we were supposed to go home together because we lived right next to eachother but that day Lisa had to go on a mission so I went alone that day. But suddenly a van had stopped beside me and kidnapped me.

They brought me to an abandoned building and kept me there, tied up. What I got to find out later was that this man who had ordered his men to kidnap me, was actually Lisa's enemy.

He was her biggest and worst enemy, I didn't know why though because she always kept her most dangerous enemies confidential from me, probably to not endanger me. I don't know how but somehow he had found out that I was a very close one to Lisa and I knew most of her secret information and most importantly..............her identity.

Lisa had always kept her identity a secret since she was still young and didn't want people hurting her family but the man had found out her weakness which was.....me.

He tortured me and hit me none stop until I was coughing up blood. He wanted one thing from me, it was to tell him her identity to which I obviously refused. I didn't let him get his way so I let him torture me cuz I knew by then Lisa would have probably found out where I was."

I take a moment to take a deep breath and continue while trying my hardest not to shed any tears.

"B-But h-he said t-that..."

A hiccup escapes my mouth as tears fall down as I find it hard to speak. What takes me by surprise is when he suddenly embraces me with a tight hug. The only thing I wanted to do was to hug him back, so I did. Wrapping my arms around his neck I felt my tears fall on his shirt but he didn't care.

"He s-said he knows where my family is and that he'll kidnap them and murder them right before my eyes.......I....I couldn't do anything except tell the truth because even I knew that he wasn't lying.

I told him her identity and he let me go. When I went back home, I never told my parents about what happend and I got to find out that Lisa didn't actually know where I was so if I hadn't told him what he wanted, he would have killed me and my family.

I didn't tell anyone about what happend until things started getting bad. I got to know that Lisa's most precious buildings were burned and destroyed. At first I thought it wasn't a big deal.....but it was when all of her buildings were destroyed and what took this too far was when her family was taken by someone a-and......murdered."

I started sobbing really hard and Taehyung tighten the hug. I was feeling a lot better but it was still a painful memorie which would always traumatize me.

"The person who had done all this was the man who had kidnapped me, Lisa's enemy. Lisa found out about my kidnapping and she blamed me for all that happened to her family.

S-She said it was all my fault, and that if I hadn't told him her identity, her parents would have still been alive. She called me a murder and to take revenge, s-she made my life miserable with every possible thing she could, she would create fake rumours about me at school which made everyone turn against me. She hated me.

But that wasn't all, even after all that she always threatened me saying one day she'll also destroy my life the way I did and one day, she captured my parents and twin brother and told me to come to where she told me or else she'll kill them. I did as she told and when I went there, I was told to k-kill my o-own family with my own h-hands."

Once again, I burst out crying thinking about my family, they were really precious to me.

"I-I couldn't....so when I was about to pull the trigger, I shot her instead and told my family to run. We escaped successfully escaped but I couldn't stay with them. They were endangered many times because of me and I just couldn't keep doing this to them so.......I ran away.

I came to Seoul and started my life alone and never contacted my family to ensure I would not have any relationship with them. I'm sure they have stopped looking for me since it's been 5 years. Yes I haven't seen them for 5 years and I miss them so much."

We had pulled away a long time ago so now tears were just falling to the ground thinking about my parents and brother. I really did miss them but it was for the best that I'd stay away from them. I sigh and look down with a sad smile.

"I thought I had escaped from her but I guess I was wrong cuz she found me and now she's even going to our school. She wants revenge and she's hungry for it."

~Flashback (5 years ago) ~

"Just tell me what I want to know and I'll let you go. It's not that hard."

I coughed hard and spat out the blood to the floor. Looking up, I was determined to not let him win. Never, I'll never give up. I chuckle and look at him in amusement.

"You really thought, you can do whatever you want but you will get nothing out of me. So quit wasting your time on me."

Just then, another punch was thrown to my stomach causing me to spit out more blood and my bruised face still dripping drops of blood on the floor.

The man approaches me while crouching down so he is leveled with me and he lifts up my chin with his thumb along with a smirk.

"Oh sweetheart, you really aren't gonna give up are you? Well physical pain wasn't enough than how about......mental pain?"

I look at him confused and he just stands back up and takes out his phone before playing with it in his hands.

"I suppose you don't know but I know exactly where you live, whom you live with, and what relations you have with them.........and I suppose you also don't know what I could do to them, do you?"

My eyes widen as tears begin to brim as a satisfied smirk makes its way to his face and he sighs with a chuckle realizing he finally hit my weak spot.

"Okay I guess you know now," he approaches again and leans on the chair I was tied to and comes closer to my face where his breath was practically fanning over my skin.

"Tell me her identity, or else your family dies. And I know you're smart enough to know that I'm not lying and I could really kill them."

I'm completely thrown off guard as tears unknowingly start to fall. I am a very confident and not giving up person, I was known for not being scared of anything, but the thought of loosing my only family was like a nightmare. I-I couldn't possibly do that to them.

"I really got your attention. Now tell me this is your last chance, tell me or else........"

Not having a choice, I spill the truth with immense guilt, and I'm released as promised.

"L-Lisa wh-what's wrong? Why are you cryi--"

"IT'S YOUR FAULT! THEY'RE DEAD! THEY'RE GONE! MY WHOLE FAMILY'S DEAD! BECAUSE OF YOU!!"

She screams in the alley where there was no one except us. Her screams were screams of pain which made me tear up too but what made me want to die from guilt was that........I killed her parents?

It's all my fault. It's all because of me. It's all my fault, I killed innocent lives, it's all my fault. I killed innocent and kind people but most importantly I.......lost my best friend who trusted me and did everything to protect me.

I was selfish for only thinking about myself and not the others who could have possibly been in danger because of me. I was selfish to save my own family at the cost of hers.
