Their eyes fluttered open before slowly drooping down. A sigh came from their mouth as they pushed themselves off of the relatively small bed and onto the cold wooden ground. The room around them was small and connected to another room where the children lay. The room was made of wood and cheap metal like everything else in the Undercity. The bed had faded gray sheets with a think brown blanket and two pillows. A dark color nightstand stood next to the bed and a medium dressed with five drawers one for each child and one for both Y/N and their husband, Vander. They walked to the dresser and opened their drawer to grabbed some clothing. A pair of work pants, a shirt, socks, boots. Grabbing the hairbrush ontop of the dresser they brushes their h/c hair before placing it back onto of the dresser.

Y/N looked towards their sleeping husband who laid in bed after hours of hard work. They always had a hard time sleeping and Vander was always there to comfort them when it was needed. That's part of why they loved him. He was always there for them and they wishes they could always be there for him. Vander needed someone to show him how much he was appreciated. Yes, the kids loved him and tried to show it but, they were always getting into trouble which worried the two adults. They needed a break, a tiny break to just be in love. Something that was taken away from them a long time ago and they were tired of it. They wanted to show their love and affection for the one who took care of them constantly. So they got an idea.

They spent all night working on it, and only got finished about three hours before Vander woke up. And when he woke up he found that his spouse was no where to be seen, not in bed, nor the desk, not even on the floor —where they landed when they fell off the bed —which happened often. He walked to the desk and saw to pieces of paper. The rest one read, " I'm off to who to get the shipment of liquor, I'll he back within a day. " The next paper was longer and was written carefully. It was signed by Y/N and read,

"   Dear, Vander

You are a the glue that holds this makeshift family together and its sad to say that no one really sees that. You are a peace giver that no one talks about on the North side. You hold everything on your back and you haven't had a break in years. So I've decided to do something for you.

As you know there's a liquor shipment for the bad that you were supposed to get, but I am already on the way. I've already told the kids that I was going to do this so now you don't have to sorry about it. As normal if I'm not home within two days don't expect me to come back, but everything should come as planned.

I want you to know that I've loved you since we were fifteen and little misfits running around stealing things. I still remembered when you stole the ring I wear today, we were nineteen. I still remember our vows and all the things we were worried about. I even taught you how to read and write when we were nine years old. In my darkest hour you were here and when it came to your darkest time I was there too. I was there with you and your brother. Together forever, we made the promise to stay together for all our lives. "

The note almost brought tears to the eyes of the large man. He was glad that his spouse got his back. He couldn't wait for them to come back, they could have a drink with the new liquor. But before they could do anything Y/N would need to come home and not be worried about the kids doing something that they weren't supposed to do. He walked to the kids room which was the largest room I'm the basement. And what he found was the four children missing from their beds. He could only guess where they were.
