Love. What a silly thing. You thought the thought of love was odd almost laughable. How could someone care for a person so much. It was odd to you because you weren't properly loved for as a child. You weren't jealous of other people and their happiness, or that's what you told yourself.

You saw everyone so happy and it almost made you angry, although this was worse when you were a child. You were a very angry child because of how you were treated.

Now you were part of the Firelights, everyone saw you at least once in a month for whatever reason. Broken arm, fixed,worst paper cut in the word, fixed, cut, fixed.  bloody nose, what blood nose?

You were the healer for them and they always needed your help. You didn't mind this through, you liked working with people. You felt if you were of use than you wouldn't have to think about stress or trauma. I mean you weren't completely wrong.

You didn't know how to happened but you had fallen in love with Ekko. You being you didn't like the idea of being in love, look at your famliy for crying out loud! 

You owed Ekko your life, he saved you and gave you a second chance to be part of the Firelights! He had done so much for you!

In fact you where just scared to love. You were scared to feel emotions that could hurt you later on in life. You always locked yourself away so you wouldn't have to feel pain or guilt so you couldn't get hurt anymore.

You were sitting in your little tent working on a new medicine for burns. The Firelights often got burns from Jinx's bombs, fires getting started, touching something hot and/or a random accident.

Ekko walked into your tent and knocked on a shelf with animal bones, jars of blood, water, and medicine, along with candles, pictures and random medication.

" Hey. "

" Hello,what can I do for you today? " You wanted to throw yourself off of a building. You wanted there to be a cure for love like there was a cure for burns and infections.

He shoved his hands into his pockets. He was about to say something but Ekko didn't.

This was awkward.

Sh*t.

You took a deep breath and tried to say, " Wel- " He cut you off.

"We n—" You accidentally cut him off.

" Sorry " You both said in unison. You laughed a bit. And repeated, " I'm sorry you can go on. " You looked like you were about to die from how hard you were laughing. In truth you really wanted to jump off a building, that was so embarrassing to you.

Ekko cleared his throat and finally stated, "We need to talk. " Those words rang in your head, those four words are what you hate the most. The world went silent for a bit, no, more like the world stop. That was the loudest silence you had ever experienced.

" Okay. Uh just give me a moment. " You were panicking so much. You wanted to lose feelings and be put into a medically induced coma.

You wish there was a a cure for you.

After you were done Ekko grabbed your arm and picked you up off the floor,you grabbed your hover board on the way out. You were so nervous, you wanted to jump off a building.

Ekko got his over board and got onto it, you did what he did. You had road these things lot so, you were pretty good but not as Ekko at doing tricks.

Soon you were in the tunnels, you couldn't see a centimeter past your nose. You love it through, the wind, the speed, the adrenaline rushing through your veins.

Once you made it to the surface it started to rain much to your surprise. You loved the rain. You opened your arms and stuck out your tongue even through you knew it wasn't the best to taste the ran in the Undercity.

After a little bit Ekko and you stopped at a roof. It was still raining, your both knew the hover boards could take it.

Ekko brought the boards to another spot. You laid down on the roof, closing your eyes so the acid rain didn't get into your eyes.

He laid next to you and closed his eyes as well. You guys just stayed like that, listening to the rain until your voice broke the speechless moment.

You asked, " What did you need to take to me about? "you turned over to your side and Ekko did the same.

" I think you need to take a break. " He saw that you were working too hard.

" I don't need to take a break. "

" Yes you do. "

" Oh shut up, stop arguing with me. I don't need a break. "

" Yes yo-"

" I love you. " You blurted out.

That shut him up for sure. This made you burst out laughing. This was perfect.
