"home sweet home," i said as i was walked out of the airport and into the fresh la air.

the sun was just starting to set over the city and the air had a distinct warmth to it. i took a deep breath, feeling a sense of familiarity and comfort as i looked around.

callum who stood close by holding onto bear's leash and his own suitcase cleared his throat. "that's us." he said as he pointed towards the black escalade.

we made our way over and the driver opened the trunk and started loading our bags.

i turned back to callum, who was still holding onto bear. "do you want to sit up front?" i asked.

callum shook his head. "no, you take the front. i'll be fine in the back with bear." he said with a smile.

"you know i can't believe how close you two have gotten." i admitted as i looked at him.

"yeah, we've bonded," callum agreed, ruffling bear's fur affectionately. "he's a good pup. a little chaotic, but what can ya do?"

i smiled, shaking my head as we continued to walk towards the car. "well, i'm glad you've found a canine companion to bond with." i teased, throwing a playful jab at his love for dogs.

"you found." he corrected.

i laughed, knowing he was right. "okay, okay, you got me." i said, holding my hands up in mock surrender. "i'm the one who found bear."

as we walked in, i sighed as it was pitch black. i made my way over to the light switch and turned it on only to be met by yells and confetti. i jumped back into callum's chest as i was scared by the unexpected party.

"welcome back bitch!" khloé yelled.

a mix of surprise and joy washed over me as i realized what was happening. i was surrounded by my closest friends and family, all of whom were there to welcome me home.

"oh my god! you guys!" i exclaimed, feeling overwhelmed and happy. i looked around at everyone, my heart full.

my gaze fell on khloé, who was standing front and center, a wide grin on her face. "you scared the hell out of me!" i laughed, still feeling the adrenaline rush from the surprise.

khloé chuckled, clearly pleased with the reaction she got from me. "that was the plan," she joked. "we wanted to make your return memorable."

my dog bear had followed us into the house and was now pacing around and barking, clearly confused by all the commotion. "oh, bear!" i reached down and picked him up, trying to comfort him. "it's okay, buddy, it's just a party."

kendall stepped closer and smiled at bear. "is this the famous bear?" she said, her voice soothing.

i laughed, feeling a sense of pride as i held my dog, he was pretty big though i still held him like a puppy. "yep, this is bear. the one and only." i said, rubbing his head gently.

"i'm gonna put your bags in your room." callum said in my ear.

i nodded, grateful for his thoughtfulness. "thanks, i appreciate it." i replied, still focusing on greeting my guests.

callum gave a small smile before disappearing down the hall with our luggage. i couldn't help but feel a warm sense of reassurance in his presence, especially in the midst of this chaos.

"you're gonna be best friends with pyro." kendall said to bear in a baby voice.

i shook my head. "absolutely not. if i'm scared of pyro what makes you think i'll let my baby go near him?" i said.

kendall laughed loudly. "oh come on. it's not like pyro is dangerous. he's just...enthusiastic."

i rolled my eyes. "do you know how huge that dog is? he could and i'm sure he would push me down in a heartbeat." i teased.

"just let them meet," kim interjected, ever the mediator. "they might end up being best buddies."

after the party started to wind down it was only kim, khloé, kourtney, kendall, kylie, scott, callum, my mom and i. we all sat at my couch as we conversed.

"how about a trip?" khloé randomly said.

my ears perked up at her suggestion. a vacation sounded like the perfect way to relax and escape the stresses of everyday life. "a trip?" i repeated, already starting to think of all the fantastic places we could go.

khloé nodded, a gleam in her eyes. "yeah, let's pack up and go somewhere exotic and fun" she said, her voice full of excitement. i looked around at my cousins, all of whom seemed to be contemplating the idea, especially kim and kendall.

"what about the kids?" kylie asked.

khloé waved off her concern. "let's bring the kids along. it'll be fun for everyone." she said with confidence.

kim raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued but not entirely sold on the idea. "do we even have the time for that?" she questioned, her skepticism evident.

khloé seemed undeterred by kim's doubt. "we always make time for family, right?" she said, looking around at each one of us. i could see the wheels turning in everyone's heads.

"yeah! this would be great." my mom said.

everyone started agreeing with the idea, each one of them seemingly more excited than the next. they were already discussing possible locations and ideas for the trip. even callum was listening intently.

i spoke up, "how about somewhere tropical? you know june is coming up..."

my suggestion sparked a new wave of excitement. "yes! a beach vacation would be perfect." scott chimed in, clearly on board with the plan.

"does the week of june 9th work?" kim asked who was on her phone, my guess was that she was looking at her calendar.

we all looked at each other, trying to recall our own schedules and commitments. my mind was starting to run blank as i tried to remember my upcoming projects. "i think i'm free then." kylie said.

"me too." kendall agreed. "i can definitely make it work." it seemed like everyone was managing to find the time to go.

callum looked at me and raised his eyebrows, i nodded. silently telling him i'm free. "we're free that week too," callum spoke up, adding our availability to the list. i glanced over at him, grateful that our schedules aligned for once.

khloé clapped her hands together, a wide smile on her face. "great! that's settled then. tropical vacation, here we come." she said. "i'll be texting you guys with more details."

"one question. where are we going?" kourtney asked. i rolled my eyes as i had forgotten she was here. "i know it's tropical but where."

kim looked up from her phone, a small smile on her lips. "i found this amazing resort in bora bora." she said, showing us a picture on her phone.

"woah. that looks incredible." kylie said, her eyes wide at the image of pristine pools and white sand beaches.

khloé nodded. "send me that link, i'll have my travel agent look into it." she said.
