third person POV, looking over shane several minutes before the call: ( :D )

Shane typed away at his computer, turning the volume down on his TV a bit distractedly as he sipped a bit of hot chocolate, looking out the window for a minute before returning to his work, setting the mug down on the table before him, where his cat was curled up.. He ran a hand along his cat slowly, chuckling a bit as he purred before he began to cough, covering his mouth with his hand a bit.

He shook his head slightly, wiping his mouth slightly as he returned his hands to his laptop keys, his hazel eyes widening in shock as his fingers came back a stained, scathing scarlet. Shane turned his hand over, slightly shaking as he had a slight phobia against blood.

Another coughing fit made him shake, and a few drops of scarlet went past his hand, staining the front of his laptop screen as his hand turned red, and Shane stood up shakily, walking to the kitchen towards the sink to try and wash his hand off a bit, bracing his hands against the sink as he tried to get some sense of what was happening.

Before he was able to, however, he reached out and turned on the faucet, letting a stream of clear water run out before he started coughing again, this one more severe than the last as he leaned forward, spitting out several stained yellow petals into the sink before an entire flower pushed it's way out of Shane's throat,  landing on the metal with a small thud and a splash of blood.

He quickly grabbed a cup from beside the sink, filling it with water before he drank it, spitting it out instantly to try and wash out the taste of copper from his mouth before he looked at the flower, tilting his head in confusion as he picked it up, turning the small sunflower over in his hands.

The flower was dotted with blood, a few petals wilting away from the blood soaked center as he set it down in a small glass, his phone going off as he did.

Shane managed to fish his phone out of his pocket, a smile lighting up his face as he noticed your face on the screen, picking up the call and setting it on speaker as he straightened his voice, clearing his throat a bit before he spoke.

"y/n? what's wrong?" He tapped his fingers on the counter nervously, his smile fading a bit with worry as he heard Ryan on the call as well, his eyebrows furrowing together.

" y/n? Why'd you call both of us? What's wrong?"

The only thing that greeted us was more silence, and Shane wasn't able to fight back the cough that made it's way up his throat, choking into a small towel he had in hand, staining the white cloth with a couple of yellow petals. His head snapped up from his coughing fit, however, when he heard more strained coughing:

from the other end of the call.

Shane pulled the phone towards himself , straining to get a couple words out as Ryan gasped in shock, yelling into the phone slightly at the sound of both of you.

"Shane! Y/n! What's going on?!"

He leaned against the counter, picking up his phone as he stumbled towards the couch, collapsing onto his as he wheezed, and not in a good way. "Y-y/n.." He held his hands together to cup a small bowl, coughing another wilted sunflower into it as he heard a faint whisper from the phone, nearly crying out in panic when he knew it was your voice.

"Shane."

Shane nearly began to sob, grabbing his keys and the bowl he had been coughing into-

Just in case.

-time skip the car ride-

Shane wasted no time in literally leaping out of his car, slamming the door shut behind him with a bang as he hurtled up the drive towards your apartment building, opening the door and running towards the elevator in a panic as he called Ryan frantically.

He ducked inside the elevator, punching your floor button in as he held the phone to his ear shakily, hopping from one foot to the other anxiously as the doors slid open, Ryan's voicemail speaking in Shane's ear before he hung up, pushing his phone into his pocket and running down the hall, stopping in front of your door and knocking urgently before he tried the handle.

To his shock and surprise, the door swung open, and he ran in, seeing your collapsed body in the main living room as he kneeled beside you, seeing a couple of daisy petals on your lips and a puddle of blood beside you, blood all over the tips of your fingers.

Your phone lay a foot away from your limp hand, the screen stained with bloody finger prints as he moved the petals away from your lips, realizing that your pulse had frozen before he picked your phone up, calling the hospital as his breath shook, sunflower petals spilling out of his lips onto the hem of your shirt.

The ambulance arrived ten minutes later, and they walked in on Shane cradling your unconscious body, tears tracking down his face and landing on your face before they tapped on his shoulder, and Shane followed them, quickly picking your limp body up bridal style and walking into the elevator, pressing a kiss to your forehead shakily.

He ran his hands through your hair, walking out to follow the paramedics as he climbed into the ambulance, holding you in his arms securely as he bit his lower lip, trying to stop the flower petals that spilled out of his mouth onto your shirt to no avail.

After he arrived at the hospital, he didn't waste any time getting you onto the first open gurney they wheeled out, blood dripping from his mouth as Shane waited outside of your room, holding a napkin to his lips as he watched you inside.

Shame let out a violent and bloody cough, petals clogging his throat before he leaned over, sliding onto his knees on the linoleum floor as his hand slid away.

Another full-grown blooming sunflower slid out from between his lips, a blood smear staining it as your own heart restarted, a loud coughing coming from inside your room before you coughed out a daisy.

Shane managed to claw his way up the wall, bloody fingerprints being left up the peeling gray paint before he gripped the handle of the door, gazing at you inside the room with hope and fear lighting up his brown eyes.

Another petal slid out from his lips, and he could do nothing as a flower stuck in his throat, causing him to let out a labored breath before Shane's eyes rolled back in his head, and he slid down to the floor, going unconscious.

:)))))))
I didn't say there wasn't gonna be a third part did I ?
