꒰ 𝕊itting by the desk of theirs was a teenager, Their (h/c) hair messy and tangled beyond brushing it out. A sigh escaped from their tinted lips as they tugged downward and into a frown while they slouched in their seat, Looking at the bright screen of their computer with a squint of their (e/c) eyes.

They had a rough few days and was in need of an escape, After countless arguments with not only their family but friends as well, They wanted nothing but to be out of the world at the moment. And the internet was how they could easily block out all those horrible things in their life.

Pursing through the internet, Looking at various art works online, They paused coming across an familiar art work. Cringing at the sight as they glanced over to the account it had been posted on they nodded their head slightly and groaned. "Yeah.. that's mine alright.." they mumbled, "Damn it [Y/n], What where you thinking?" they whined underneath their breath.

The artwork of theirs in question was a small piece of fanart for a game that was very popular at it's time by the name 'DOKI DOKI Literature Club!' [Y/n] would never admit to playing those types of otome dating games. However this game specifically did hole a special place in their heard, Sure from her memory the game could have done a bit better but it was amazing nonetheless.

They had forgotten all about the game honestly, It's been.. what around eight years since they last played it?

[Y/n] slowly looked back up to the screen and to that very old art work of theirs, It was a cute fan piece for a character named 'Sayori'. At the time they adored the petite girl over the others, They hadn't exactly known why, Everyone else at the time cared much more over every other character in the game.. [Y/n] assumed it may have been for the cute look of the girl.

"...fucking hell, That's a true piece of shit if i've ever seen one." They mutter, Breaking their own silence with an insult of their childhood work. They pursed their lips as they lightly put their hand on the mouse and moved it slightly before clicking on the comments, All of them being from 2017-2019, Years the game skyrocketed.

Raising a judging brow at the comments showing them with compliments for their art skills, They eternally scoffed. "We sure had a different view of what we'd call "art" a few years back." they spoke out loud and to nobody but themselves.

After a long hard stare at the crap artwork the comments claimed to be "given from god himself" the (h/c) thought to themself, Pondering on whether or not they could redraw the drawing for Sayori before pausing.

"..Hell, Why don't i redesign them?" A smile grew to their lips, It would sure take their mind off of life after all. Though, They wondered on what they could exactly redesign. From their memory it would only really be the characters appearances.. Nothing about them was really that bad..

And so a lightbulb flickered on within their head, Clicking off the website/app they dragged their mouse across the mouse pad on the desk as their eyes scanned throughout the game folder. Scrolling further, Further and even further down. The stopped and smiled feeling victorious seeing that they still had the game.

"How would you feel if we touch a trip down memory lane?" They wondered to.. nobody in particular as they talked to themself like the air would respond back.

....

'God damn it, I need a life.' They thought, Frowning as they sighed realising just how depressing it was that they had nobody to talk to but themself. Groaning with small annoyance, They double clicked above the icon of the game and leaned back into their chair as they waited for it to load.

꒰𝙰s the screen loaded, The (h/c) teen hummed the tune before the screen shifted to show the main menu. A hint of nostalgia hit them as they smiled brightly and moved in their chair. Sitting up straighter as their ears where blessed with the all too familiar music notes of the game.

"it's just like i remember.." They couldn't hold back the childish excitement to deep further into the game, Going through it and realising the actual story behind the cutesy seeming game that they never paid much attention to as a kid.

Leaning forward and closer to the screen as they hovered their mouse over the few options they had, The words lighting a lighter shade of pink rather than a purple when the cursor hit the words. The screen of the game itself made them all giddy inside, They half wondered if that was upsetting that they could feel such excitement from something so utterly simple.

The home screen was quiet simple it's self, The left side; A semi curved line, Being a lighter shade of babe pink with a darker shade cutting it from the other side. A circle with the same colours being at the stop of it and having a felt, Big blue heart in the middle; A smaller pink one be it's side, Almost like a bow. The colourful words of "DOKI DOKI" being underneath one another and besides a green pen which hovered about a thin white rectangle of 'paper' with a cursive font, Spelling out "𝕷𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖆𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖊".

Underneath the circle, Still on the left side was the buttons interactable. Dragging their mouse across the desk, The cursor shifting over to the options that held a nice 'ding' sound as they hovered the cursor over each option.

on the right side was a moving screen in the background, The moving area was slow and mainly white with small and slight pink circles. Above this area were four of the familiar girls that the (h/c) remembered loving a little too much as a kid.

In front was MONIKA, A brunette with green eyes. Behind her was NATSUKI, A girl with short and bright pink hair with matching pink eyes and a pouty expression. Besides Natsuki was YURI, A taller girl with a shy and flushed expression with long purple hair with matching eyes. In front of Yuri was the one and only SAYORI, The one of the four girls that they remembered favouriting throughout the entire game. With a cheerful expression and a mix between both pink and light brown hair and blue eyes.

Smiling fondly at the group of girls, The (h/c) sighed and decided to stop dilly daddling around and actually play the game. Hovering their mouse and cursor over the 'New Game' option, Clicking it as the game begin.

"HEY! What the--?" The (h/c) called out in surprise as they blinked and squinted their eyes, The screen turned into a black with glitching particles and some words they wouldn't quite make out. Furrowing their brows, They wondered if this happened before.

Though she couldn't think more on it as a small popup messaged appeared, They blinked, Recalling these messages happening within the game before hand as their eyes glazed over the words. Reading them quietly while she mumbled the words;

Within the rectangular box of pink and white colours were the black coloured and bubbled font words making the sentence ¤《Are you looking for something brand new, [Y/n]?》¤

"...this didn't happen before right?" [Y/n] wondered, Raising a brow at the message as a small keyboard showed up for them to write. They paused, Biting their lower lips as they squinted. No, This was for sure new.. No matter the amount of times they ran their mind back, They couldn't think of anything of the sorts like this.

It was obviously possible for there to have been an update to the game but, With how far back it was created and the fact the game didn't ask her to update it, It wasn't likely. They stayed sat in their seat for a while just pondering before the message shifted around once more.

¤《I'm not a patient person you know.》¤

"what--" Was all that [Y/n] could really say at that point, Staring at the words as they glanced off and cleared their throat as a slight shiver ran down their spine and they felt off.. As if somebody was watching them or something.

Sighing, They shifted closer to their desk and looked down to their keyboard with a pause as they purse their lips. Assuming that it was just an update of the game and pushing away the odd feeling they just rolled with it. With a small shrug they began to type a response, Deciding if this was new to the game maybe they would get a fun twist with it.

"an adventure sure sounds fun-" They spoke loudly, Their voice echoing throughout their own room as their finger hovered over the enter button.

¤《THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR!》¤

.....

what.

the.

fuck?

[Y/n] for a moment, Biting their lower lip as they hummed slightly and the gaze they felt on them thickened, Having their body tense up.

"..can.. can you hear me?" They said in a whispered tone, Honestly a little frightened of the thought of the game hearing them. They couldn't recall any of this shit happening before hand so it was, Strange to say the least, And the fact they felt someone watching them was even more freaky.

After a while of silence and no other reply, They sighed in relied, Relaxing in their seat before a message changed once more.

¤《Fucking got your ass. Now, Do you want the adventure?》¤

The box this time had no way or typing within it and only held a button that said "OK". Hesitating, The (h/c) looked sceptical as they stopped to think about everything. "..so you can hear me? What the fuck is going on right now?" they mumbled, Only getting no response but the "OK" button growing in size.

...

After thinking about everything they paused and glanced around their room with a groan, It wasn't like anything bad could happen right?.. plus.. if anything did happen.. it.. wasn't like anybody would really care... And with those thoughts in mind, They took a deep breath and clicked the 'okay' button which glowed and brightly blinded their eyes.

Wincing while they quickly shut and covered their eyes using their hand, They felt a warm feeling of comfort surround them, Relaxing them as they began hearing light whispers. Although they were faint and incoherent, For some odd reason, Hearing these voices whisper things he couldn't quite grasp was comforting to them.

Once opening their eyes they blinked a few times to get rid of the after affect of being blinded. Upon regaining their sight they frowned instantly seeing their room, Nothing being changed in the slightest and it looking as depressingly boring as they were. Mumbling under their breath, They looked over to the screen which only glitched with the background music sounding more slow and.. broken like.

"..well.. that was anticlimactic-" They muttered as they blinked and tried clicking the empty and glitched screen a few times for something, Only for the monitor of theirs to give a sudden wave of air; Kind of similar to an explosion. And pushing them harshly to the back of their chair which only caved and fell to the floor.

They passed out from both the sudden gush of.. quite random wind and the collapse back to the floor. Their eyes flattered as they winced and groaned in pain while they tried to stay awake for just a little longer before closing their eyes, Their hand dropping to the side as they did so.

AUTHOR NOTE:

➥ So, Firstly! I'd like to say.. damn.. i hate this page so much-- I had an idea and written on paper it was all good but during the end it kind of.. rolled off, Y'know? I'm not going to rewrite it though like i usually do (maybe when i have a good load of chapters out but nowhere near now)

➥ The first, First page will be out tomorrow (or maybe after tomorrow, I think i have plans but i'm not sure if their set in stone yet.)

➥ ALSO, I was trying out a different type of thing for "y/n" but it lowkey looks ugly as fuck, So.. Would you all prefer it being ____/[____] or "Y/n" or "(Name)"? I also think maybe i'll go to second pov (you/your/yours) etc. for the offical chapter one.
