Macy didn't see or hear from the Red Hood for the remainder of the week. That is until Thursday night when he broke into the apartment for a therapy session.
"Hey Macy" The Red Hood spoke with a cigarette hanging from his mouth.
"Hi," Macy said, shocked, carrying a wine glass in her hands.
"I was wondering if we could talk again? I brought wine this time" The Red Hood said, holding up a bottle of white wine that Macy just noticed. She nodded her head, turned around and walked to her office, Jason trailing behind her after grabbing a wine glass for himself and her pack of cigarettes that were left on the table.
Macy opened the drawer with all her notes, searching for Jason's small file. Once she found it she turned around only to see Jason sitting comfortably on the couch pouring them both a glass of white wine.
She sat on the chair across from Jason, quickly going through the notes, before starting the session. "Last session we started to touch bases on your death. Did you want to continue from there or tell me about your week?" Macy asked, letting Jason choose where to begin at attempting to let him have more control over the session.
"Well this week has been shitty, I got into a big argument with Batman." Jason started.
"What was the argument about?" Macy asked.
"He let Red Robin get hurt on patrol, and I snapped." Jason looked down at his quarter full wine glass.
"Is this something that happens often?" Jason just nodded before finishing off his wine. "I think this happens often due to your death, you're afraid of something bad happening to the others because it happened to you. You feel helpless watching the people you care about getting hurt, so you lash out in fear. Would you agree with me?"
"Sounds about right. I-I try not to get mad because accidents happen right? But he just lets it happen again and again. He lets them get hurt and doesn't do shit about it, but I know he doesn't mean to. I mean, everyone gets careless once and awhile thinking they're invincible when they aren't. I was the same way Macy, and it got me killed. Red Robin has been acting so carelessly lately and then he gets hurt like this." Jason rants, opening up for what seems like the first time in forever.
"Lashing out at others when things go wrong isn't healthy, it can ruin relationships, and it isn't a good way to deal with things Red Hood,"
"Call me Jason."
"Okay Jason, I think we should focus on your death. Talk more about that because it seems to be affecting you more than you lead on." Macy decides.
"Can we do that next week?" Jason asked quietly
"If that's what you want" Macy smiles, then quickly writes something down on a sticky note. "I know you have your vigilante way of finding out my number but here it is, if you need anything before next Thursday reach out to me at any moment in time that you need help. Or you can stop by and speak to me in person. I'm proud of you for the progress we made today." Jason smiles, grabbing the paper before leaving.
