Her hands shook violently, knees weak. Macy Stewart stumbled out of the office hyperventilating. This is a panic attack, she thought. She had just had her first ever therapy appointment, and it didn't go well.
Despite Macy being a therapist she can't diagnose all her own issues, she needs someone else to. However, the therapist she just saw should've lost her licenses a long time ago. Telling someone they're the problem and that they're responsible for everything is not right. It isn't fair to the patient.
Macy stumbled out of the building and into an alleyway, accidentally body checking a random guy. He let out a curse but she didn't pay much attention. Going into the alley, she slid against the wall, falling to the ground. Tears flooded her vision, but before she could panic even more a blurry figure appeared in front of her.
"Hey. you need to breathe, in and out, there you go," the man spoke to her in a calm and gentle voice. He guided her through breathing again.
"Thank you," Macy said, voice breaking as tears were silently rolling down her face.
"It's no problem, really. I'm Jason, Jason Todd, and you are?"
"Macy Stewart." Macy replied hesitantly.
""It's been a pleasure meeting you Macy, but I have to run now. I'll see you around." and with that Jason rushed out of the alley, leaving Macy alone with her thoughts.
Later that evening
Macy grabbed the bottle of white wine, after the day she had she deserved it. She poured herself a glass of the white wine before putting it away. Out of nowhere as she took a sip of her wine there was a knock on her window, startling her.
She instinctively dropped her glass. Tiny pieces of glass were spread across her kitchen floor. Stepping over the glass she went to see what or who was at her window. Macy lived in an apartment, on one of the higher floors. There shouldn't be anyone or anything at her window.
There standing on her fire escape was the famous Red Hood. Macy's eyes dilated in shock. Why was he here? I didn't do anything wrong, did I?
"Macy Stewart?" He questioned as Macy was opening her window to let him in.
"That's me." She whispered still in shock.
"I've been told you're a pretty good therapist and I'm in need of one. Want to help a guy out?"
author's note !!
this is kind of a shorter prologue
but it sets up the story, however i
might rewrite this later on.
