"Hey love, did you see the news?" Briar asked concerned for his boyfriend's well being.

"I did-" Dick broke off his train of thought before sobbing "I don't know what to do. They weren't supposed to find out this way"

"I'm coming over and we can figure this out together, okay?"

"Okay" the call ended as Briar got into his car to drive over to Dick's. When he got to Dick's he saw reporters scowling the streets looking to see which apartment building was his. He sneakily ran into the building before he could be seen and went to the one place he feels at home at. He dug out his keys as he walked towards the door, already having a key to Dick's apartment in the six months of dating.

"Honey, I'm home." Briar jokes, attempting to make Dick smile or let out a quiet laugh. He succeeded in making Dick quietly chuckle.

"Hey" Dick grimaced, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know what to do"

"How about you go see them?" Briar sat down on the couch next to Dick before pulling him into a hug. "They're probably debating whether they need to speed down here or not. If you don't go then you will have worried little birds showing up at your window." Briar jokes. Dick lets out a loud laugh causing a smile to appear on Briar's face.

"I'll go on one condition," Briar looked confused then started to realize what Dick was talking about, but before he could protest Dick spoke up, "You have to meet them eventually and it would mean the world to me if you would come with me."

Dick looked up at Briar, pleading putting on his cute pleading face that Briar can never say no to. Briar lightly shoves Dick before agreeing. Dick immediately hugs Briar again, this time not letting go saying thank you repeatedly.

"We can go down tomorrow, let's have today as a mental health rest day, sound good?" Briar asked, making sure he isn't overstepping any boundaries.

"That sounds wonderful, as long as you my love stay here with me" Dick said, biting his lip trying to contain his excitement.

"Of course, it's not like you could get rid of me anyways." Briar smiled, making Dick's eyes brighten with love. He tilts his head up as Briar tilts him down so their lips connect. The two stay like that in each other's embrace for awhile before Briar decides it's time for them to get some food. The two spend the night watching movies and laughing. Having some fun the night before everything could be ruined for Dick.
