Third Person's POV

Sully handed Nate a box as she assumed that they were clothes for tonight. Halle went into the bathroom upstairs to change, as she opened the box and found a black spaghetti strapped dress neatly folded with black heels inside. Halle had to admit that the dress was cute. She put the dress on as it fitted just right. She put the heels on and after doing a rest run (not literally), and her feet slowly adjusted to the heels. She walked down the stairs and found Sully in the same suit he wore earlier, leaning against the stair case.

"I didn't know if you'd like it or not." Sully says to his daughter as she scoffed a little.

"Not bad, but you're not winning me over too easily." Halle says as he nods his head as he raised his hands up slowly in surrender.

"Roger." Sully says as he put his down.

"Uh, Sully, could you help me?" Nate says as he's still struggling with the tie, before Sully could go and help him Halle took the initiative and helped him.

"Let me guess you couldn't figure it out?" Sully asked amused as Nate gave him a look.

"I couldn't figure out the length. I just keep making it all fat." Nate says to Sully as Halle finished tying it.

"You can thank me later." Halle says as she put her hair in a braid to keep it out of her face. She turned back to Nate and chuckled. "Okay, it's later."

"Uh, thanks." Nate says to her as she fake saluted him. "So you were in the navy, dishonorable discharge."

"You did some homework, huh?" Sully asked as Halle took a drink from the vodka bottle that her father had.

"Of course, I did." Nate smugly said as Halle rolled her eyes at what he said.

"I flew helicopters. I was preserving some artifacts from a museum in Baghdad. I was over the max load weight, crashed pretty hard. They got all upset and kicked me out, bit of an overreaction, but what are you gonna do?" Sully says as he looked at Nate.

"Translation, he looted them." Halle says as her father turns to face her, as he pointed a finger in her direction.

"I did not loot them." Sully says as Halle flipped him off as she chugged down the bottle of vodka, and then moved to the tequila. All while she's doing this Nate is looking at her wondering why she's drinking this much alcohol all of a sudden. Is it because she's trying to drown out her feelings of working with her Dad on this mission impossible mission?

"Well, if I didn't, somebody else would have." Sully said as he handed Nate a flashlight. "Also, what's with the cat?"

"Oh, the cat? She's just for you." Nate says as Halle was half way done with the tequila that was currently in her hands.

"What?" Sully asked looking at Nate like he was crazy. There was a ragdoll cat sitting on top of the arm rest of Sully's couch.

"Yeah, his life is supes depressing." Halle says as she leaned back as she chugged down the alcohol like it was water. She was acting like she's done this before, or maybe she's trying to impress Nate.

"No, I'm not gonna keep this thing." Sully refused. "They're gonna shit all over my floor."

Sully says as Nate walked towards Halle as she went to take the last sip and then that's when he took the bottle from her, as she nearly punched him in the face. But he ducked just in time.

"What the fuck, Nate? Can't a girl drown out her sorrows of her life."

"No, that's called alcohol abuse." Nate says as she wobbled a little as now she's drunk. Maybe drinking before they do this heist wasn't a good idea. Luckily she hasn't puked yet.

They walked out of the apartment, and hopped in a black car belonging to Sully and they drove off to the Augustine Auction place.

Halle's POV

Maybe it wasn't a good idea to get drunk before this heist, but let's get the party started. Dad's driver named Tony parked along the sidewalk across the auction place thing. I don't fucking remember. My head hurts.

"Hey, these people can tell a fake when they see one, alright? You have to believe the lie you're selling. You belong here, you're one of them--" Sully says as I covered my ears.

"Stop yelling, for the love of God." I say as I uncover my ears and see Dad handing me and Nate something. I squinted my eyes at what it was.

"What if we get caught?" Nate interjected.

"Just don't. Just don't get caught at all costs."

"That's not gonna last long, he gets caught all the time." I say pointing to Nate as I try not to smile without getting sick.

"How helpful." Nate says sarcastically as he was chewing gum.

"Give me a piece." I say holding out my hand as I use my other hand to put the ear piece in my ear.

"Hello? Hello! Can you guys hear me?" Nate says as his voice progressively gets louder each word.

"Stop yelling!" I yelled at him as I opened the door and shoved him out without a care in the world.

I saw that a shiny red vehicle stopped in front of the entrance of the auction house. It was a fairly small, but looked like it was worth a lot. It looked like it was worth more than Dad's car. Or maybe that's the side effects of the alcohol.

Maybe this is why Papa never drank.

"Oh look at that car. Bet that ain't cheap." Nate commented on it, as I gave him a sarcastic look.

Coming out of the red vehicle was one of the fancy schmancy looking men who was in the hook. "Isn't that Santiago Moncada?" I whispered to Dad.

"Shit. It is." He confirmed as he turned to see what I was looking at.

"Like the Santiago Moncada." I confirmed more as Dad nodded his head. When we entered the auction house it was packed with rich people and the items going for auction were in glass boxes for everyone to see.

The place screamed expensively overwhelming, I clutched my stomach trying to keep it's contents inside. I don't want to get sick now, as that would blow our covers, and I probably won't hear the end of that.

I saw that Dad and Nate were at the bar, ordering their drinks as I clutched my stomach tighter as I can feel myself getting sick at the second, I'm still here. Dad turned around to me and I could feel himself giving me a look, but do I honestly care.

No, I do not.

"A martini?" Dad asked Nate.

"Yeah, why not?" Nate asked while still chewing the gum.

"That'll go great with the bubblegum. You should put the bubble gum in the martini. Now you have a bubble gum martini." Dad said in a joking manner as I look at him like he's crazy. Which he is.

"That's actually not a bad idea." Nate says.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked them as I try to keep my cool and not look like an idiot.

From afar, a dark-skinned woman blew Nate a kiss as I turned around and looked at her but she was looking directly at Dad for some reason.

She isn't his type anyway, so why is she all interested in him. That's weird, and very sickening. Or maybe that's me really trying not to get sick.

But whatever.

Or maybe the girl was looking at Nate?

If she's looking at him we have a problem. He's mine. She needs to back off---Where the hell did that come from?

Papa always said that when people are drunk, that the truth comes out. But I don't want to tell Nate I like him---God, I hate myself.

"My god, this girl is totally flirting with me." Nate says as Dad whips his head to Nate.

"Where?" Dad asked like the idiot that he is---am I this brutal when I'm drunk. Sheesh.

"There, the woman with Moncada. Look, she's flirting with me, hi." Nate says as he waved as I snatched his drink from him and chugged it down. I realized that was a huge mistake on my part. As now I'm really gonna get sick.

"She's not even your type anyway." I say to him referring to what happened earlier as Nate still looked at her as I huffed as I rolled my eyes at him.

Course he liked her. She's sober and not drunk out of her mind. Though she could be faking it. If so, how does she do it.

"What do you think is Nate's type then?" Dad asked with a shitty grin on his face.

"Can we get this over with, so I can sleep. I need a fucking nap." I seethed at him as I covered my hand over my face.

Dad signaled me and Nate to leave the bar, as we walked towards the sight seeing area where the items were. Me and Nate took a closer look at the key, as it looked better in real life.

"Incredible." A thick Spanish accent said as I nearly jumped, me and Nate turned to see who it was as it was no one other than Santiago Moncada, taking a closer look at the key as well.

"It's pretty cool, huh?" Nate says as I wanted to facepalm right then and there, but I chose against it.

"Well, it's one of a kind solid gold alter crucifix. Handcrafted in Barcelona in the early sixteenth century, so yes, it's pretty cool, yeah." Santiago says looking at Nate.

"Wow, you know your crosses." Nate says as I elbowed him in the ribcage.

"My family has been looking for this for a very long time." Santiago says.

"No way, so have I." Nate says to him as I roll my eyes.

"You're a collector?" He asked.

"I dabble." He says.

"Nathan." I seethed through gritted teeth.

Santiago looked at me as I faked smiled as he returned it. "I don't dabble. The cross has a very tragic history. Eighteen men died trying to hold onto it. So much blood so needlessly spilled." Santiago says as I narrowed my eyes as I silently listened.

"Ladies and gentleman, if I could have your attention please. Would you please take your seats? The auction will be commencing very soon."

Hearing that, Santiago wished us---I mean Nate good luck, and he went to his seat, which was out of sight. I dropped the fake smile and glared heavily at Nate.

"Hey, bubble yum, you done chattin' up our arch nemesis." Dad spoke in the earpiece.

"Thanks to Nate Santi is suspicious." I say as I take off my heels someplace, as I know I'm gonna be running and fighting, as I have weapons in my pockets.

"I'm sorry, I was trying to act like a normal rich person." He replies holding the earpiece like an idiot. "I'm also pretty sure he threatened to kill us."

"Don't touch your ear like that, you look like an idiot." Dad demanded.

"He is." I commented.

"Get a move on." Dad ordered.

The power room was quite far, me and Nate went down the stairs as I'm now barefoot, we both bumped into Jo and her henchmen on our way there.

Nate climbed over the railings as I followed suit, as Nate finally and also shockingly stopped chewing the gum, removed it from his mouth and attached it to the lock. He waited for the people to completely pass by us, then he made his move. I assured him that I would guard the door.

Then operation get the key was now commencing.

。ₓ ू ₒ ु ˚ ू ₒ ु ₓ。

Jo's henchmen were in front of me, they were big, bulky men towering over my small figure. I was a little intimated also with me being drunk, though kicking their asses would be another story.

"You're blocking the door." One said with a monotonous tone.

"I am?" I ask trying to act all innocent.

I grab my pocket knife from my pocket and held onto it, as I nonchalantly held it in my hands without them looking. I pretended to fall as I saw that one of them men tried to enter the power room, but I stabbed him with the knife.

"Fuckers." I mutter under my breath, as I killed the man and then the other man went to punch me but I fell to the floor.

"You're seriously going to hit a little girl. How could you?" I say dramatically as I tried not to laugh at what I just said, but I could honestly care less. "Wait until my father hears about this."

I kicked the other man in the crotch as I stabbed him and he fell backwards. I got up back to my feet and ducked with the knife in my hand as it's actually Papa's but it's fine. It works.

I looked down and saw blood on the knife as I wiped it on the second man I killed. "Thanks for your service."

"Halle killed men, Nate what's the status on you?" Dad asked.

"What's happening?" Dad asked with a mixture of concern and disappointment in his voice. "Didn't I tell you not to get caught?"

"Can't talk right now!"

I pocketed the men I killed and grabbed whatever seemed valuable, and shoved the contents in my pockets. I was gonna look at them later.

Once I was satisfied, I walked out of the power room, and saw Nate swinging around the ceiling, holding onto a light bulb for dear life. He looked like Spiderman for a moment.

"Can we secure the cross please? Thank you very much." I say as three workers in red carefully placed the key inside the silver suitcase.

"Sully, where are you? Can anyone answer me?!" Nate exclaimed as the light bulb he was holding on fell apart and his body flipped over against a table.

I ran through the crowd towards him, I was pushing those who were in my way, eliciting complaints. I frantically searched for injuries and or broken bones. When I found zero injuries and broken bones, I sighed in relief.

Me and Nate saw Dad opening a door, wearing the same red suit as the workers earlier and holding the silver suitcase.

"Where are you going?" Nate asked through tagged breaths. "You can't just leave us there."

"There's only one rule in this game, kids: don't get caught."

I heard a beep in the earpiece, he just left and disconnected. Before I had the chance to complain and or say anything I heard security.

"Excuse me, sir, ma'am. We need to ask a few questions." One of the security guards.

"That's rude. I should be the one asking you the questions, if I'm honest." I backed up as they came closer and closer.

"Actually, I'll do you one better, I'll get my lawyer to ask the questions starting with who in the hell installed that hand rail. I mean look at that thing." He pointed out as while the guards were distracted Nate picked me up and we---I mean he dashed out of the auction house

I noticed Dad was nowhere too be seen to be seen, as me and Nate shoved ourselves into his black car. A few minutes later, the car door opened. "Let's get out of here, Tony."

Dad stilled slightly at the sight of our angry faces. Before Dad could say a smart ass comment. "Ton you got a trash bag, imma about to get sick." I say as Tony handed me a trash bag and I puked inside of it. Immediately stinking up the car with vomit. At least it doesn't smell like Dad's expensive stinky-ass cologne.

"God Halle. What did you eat?" I heard Dad say but I couldn't care less as I was too busy puking up the alcohol.

I shoulda ate before I drank. Note to self: don't drink on an empty stomach.

"It's not what she ate, it's what she drank." Nate says as Dad, Nate and Tony rolled down the windows to air out the car. As thanks to me, it smells like vomit. Hey, it beats better than expensive stinky ass cologne.

"What did she drink?" Dad asked.

"Vodka and Tequila. She chugged them down actually."

Once I was sure I was done vomiting up my stomach, I grabbed a random thing and wiped my mouth with it. When I was done with that I looked at Dad.

"Please tell me you have the cross, if not so help---" I say threatening him, as he pulled the cross out of his pocket.

"Shit you got the key." Nate says as his anger dissipated, seeing the key and its glory.

His hands reached behind my head to grab the key as Dad moved away slightly shaking the car. They were acting like children fighting over something as I managed to move to the front seat next to Tony in the passenger seat.

"Hi, how are you?" I asked him as I didn't bother putting on my seatbelt, as we were almost at the apartment. I looked behind them and when they weren't looking I grabbed the key.

I smiled as Nate was looking for it realizing that it's not in Dad's hand, as I held in my chuckle at him being oblivious. "Shit, where did it go? It was just in your hand." Nate points out the obvious as I have it inside my dress out of their sight.

Dad was looking for it as I smiled as I looked out the window of the car at seeing the night sky. Were they that oblivious of where it magically disappeared off too.

"Before you two girlies freak out." I say as I grab the key and wave it around in my hand, as I turn around and give them a shitty grin.

They both looked at me amused, confused, weirded out, and more confused of how in the hell I grabbed it.

"How?"

"When?"

"You two were fighting to get it, like it was the last cookie in the jar and I snagged the cookie." I say using the cookie as the key.

"How?" Dad asked amused.

"A thief never tells her secrets."

How do you like this chapter?

I wanted to test out how Halle's POV went, and I actually liked it. It wasn't that bad.

Should I switch it from 'Third Person's POV' to 'Halle's POV'?
