Gazing Under The Moonlight

"Hey beautiful but sleepy head, wake up."

Jinsoul softly whispered as she shook the panda's sleeping figure. Hyeri grunted, pushing the older girl's hands away before wrapping herself with her comforter.

The older facepalmed, it would take hours to wake Hyeri up causing her to sigh. However, as if a shining lightbulb appeared above her head, Jinsoul's face lit up in excitement as she found a way to wake the younger girl up.

Jinsoul stretched her arms and limbs first before gathering all her strength at once as she lifted Hyeri up in a bridal style way, making the panda look like a sleeping baby in her arms.

Hyeri noticed the feeling of being departed from the warm feeling of her bed, looking up to see Jinsoul's face as she admired her sharp jawline.

The two headed their way to the bathroom, Jinsoul finally bringing Hyeri down gently as she panted. Stretching her back like an old lady with back problems would do.

"Gosh, you're heavy."

"Who even asked you to carry me anyway."

A grumpy panda awakens as Hyeri deadpanned the older. "Sheesh, don't give me that look. It takes a lot of effort to wake you up, you know," Jinsoul informed as a pout tugged down her lips.

"Why would you wake me up at two in the morning?" Hyeri asked, an eyebrow cocked up in a questioning manner. The older girl stared at her in surprise as a gasp escaped her mouth.

"How'd you know it's still two in the morning?"

"I saw the clock when we passed by it while you were carrying me."

Jinsoul then nodded as a sign she understood, for a second she thought that Hyeri could be a fortune teller in the future.

"Anyway, do whatever you need to do here and dress up. We're going out," she enthusiastically remarked as a wide smile pulled out itself from her face.

Hyeri, however, was currently not in the right mood to appreciate it. "I slept literally just like ten minutes ago. For what reason would we go out at this hour instead of simply sleeping?"

"You want to watch the stars with me or not?"

"On second thought, I think sleeping can actually wait. There's more time to sleep later anyway, now shoo because I will do my supposed to be morning routine."

Jinsoul got pushed out the bathroom as Hyeri shut the door closed, the older chuckled at the younger's silliness before deciding to wait for her at the living room.

Everyone was surprisingly already fast asleep, usually some would watch movies in order to fall asleep at this time or any other business to do.

Jinsoul took this as an opportunity to have a limited fun day/night out with Hyeri without anyone ruining their "moment".

Not even five minutes or so, Hyeri finally came out the bathroom looking fresh and all as she skipped her way towards back to their shared room, probably going to change her clothes.

Hyeri showed up wearing a casual style of clothes, of course not forgetting the coat since it's below zero degrees outside especially at this hour. It is very important to wear clothes that warm your body in this kind of freezing temperature.

The cap and most importantly the mask will not ever be forgotten. As soon as the panda finished changing her clothes, the two immediately went out the dorm in excitement.

The streets were empty but not creepy, it is safe to walk around but anyone should still be careful. Jinsoul already felt safe knowing that she has a panda right beside her who studied taekwondo for self-defense.

"Where exactly are we going? You're also taking me out at such random hour these days, it feels odd."

"Admit it or not, you secretly love it."

Hyeri snickered but didn't said another word which caused Jinsoul to smile, knowing that the younger appreciates all the love she was giving.

The two eventually reached the park, the place was peaceful though it wasn't empty. Some were here to also see the stars light the dark sky along with the full moon.

They weren't alone but the privacy they needed was already enough, no one would even know it was them anyway. Not when everyone's attention are on the eye-catching constellations.

Jinsoul once again used her coat as their picnic mat. Her way to make Hyeri stay close by her side, demanding she needs to share her coat but lowkey wants the panda's warmth.

Both of them stared at the night sky filled with numerous constellations. It was dazzling, every stars shines in their own way. Twinkling, sparkling, glowing, and many more.

Hyeri was so lost staring at the stars, she didn't notice the pair of eyes admiring her. Jinsoul stared at the other girl's side profile, finding it breath-taking as she smiled happily.

"I could actually melt if you keep looking at me like that," the panda stated without removing her eyes from the nice scenery above. The older girl flinching in process when she realized that Hyeri actually knew she was gawking.

She cleared her throat as she turned her head back to the sky, "I wasn't staring," Jinsoul tried making an excuse but Hyeri wasn't buying it when it was already obvious. Too obvious.

"And here I thought older people should be a good role model for the younger ones, what's the point of lying when it was already plainly evident?"

Hyeri at last diverted her attention away fron the stars above as she turned her head towards the older girl who was now completely doing the facing the sky, "I wasn't lying. It was an excuse."

"Both of them are not the same but if you'd recall back the words you've said earlier, it's no difference from lying."

Jinsoul opened and closed her mouth for a few times, she realized her words were stuck in her throat as she faltered to reply. Not when the younger's statement was undeniably true, she was caught off guard and surely there's no escape to this.

She huffed, crossing her arms as she sulked, "I can't believe you're actually smarter when grumpy. At this point, I don't even know if waking you up to go outside is a good thing."

"Of course I act and sound smarter because I'm currently sober, you woke me up when I slept like ten minutes ago. I don't even know why I was up so late. I couldn't sleep but when I finally felt drowsy, you just had to ruin the moment I step into dream land."

Jinsoul cackled, covering her mouth to not make even more noise at the tranquil place. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you but I want you to know that I've been planning this. I didn't know it was such a bad timing for you however for me it wasn't," she paused for a while and then continued, "It was actually a perfect time to spend the night watching that stars with you."

"I remembered you told me once that you've been wanting to watch the night sky filled with beautiful stars, but couldn't because you kept falling asleep."

Hyeri froze for a moment, she was astounded Jinsoul would remember such words from her when Hyeri herself didn't even recalled back the time she said that. It made a smile slowly crept up her lips unknowingly, she was flustered.

This also made the grumpy Hyeri fade away out of existence. Jinsoul noticed at how the panda suddenly turned silent, realizing that she touched Hyeri's heart by just remembering her words.

"What do you feel now that you got to watch the stars?" The older questioned, eager to know Hyeri's response. The said girl stared blankly at the sky, thinking how to explain what she was feeling currently.

"I don't know, ecstatic maybe? I feel like I'm on cloud nine, a wish of mine was suddenly fulfilled. Somehow, It feels even more special knowing that you're here by my side."

Jinsoul grinned at that, her eyes going crescent due to how big her smile is. She feels like she's on top of the world upon hearing that from Hyeri.

"I'm glad to hear that," she commented, the smile still not leaving her face. "I found out that not only stars are the fancy things you could get lost into."

"Somehow, I could also get lost by just looking at your eyes. It works the same way as gazing at the sky full of stars."

Hyeri didn't know how to react. Should she react like she was in awe? Or react like the complete opposite of it? And here goes another saga of Hyeri being indecisive.

But as obvious as it is, Hyeri has been surprised by Jinsoul for numerous times in just one night. Her cheeks were burning up as she was the one who failed to respond this time.

Jinsoul only chuckled at the absence of reply, she took it positively and was right about choosing it as one. Hyeri was speechless with her words.

The older decided to change the topic in order to let Hyeri breathe, "Are you hungry?" She asked as a toothy grin pulled itself out her face.

Hyeri has finally came back catching up her words, "Good gracious you finally asked! I was actually starving," she told as she giggled.

"Good, I brought random snacks I saw in the kitchen cabinets. I don't actually know which one you'd like so I brought lots of it."

Jinsoul then pulled out the snacks from inside the hoodie she was wearing, that made Hyeri burst out laughing knowing that she got the idea of hiding the foods in a hoodie from her.

"Hoodies are actually a great wearable hidden compartment. You're so smart about making this idea, Panpan."

The two eventually continued on with their picnic until they can see the sun rising up. They knew they were doomed when the others find out they were missing but actually went out early in the morning, however, they said to themselves that it's a future Jinsoul and Hyeri problem as they focused on the present.

It was actually a very effective way to reduce stress but that won't be helpful once the unwanted time comes-which is where the other girls constantly asking them where they have been, why they were out at that time, and other things.

Their limited bonding has sadly come to an end as it was time for them to finally head back home.

Hyeri could also continue her delayed sleep and that made the panda jolly, which she wasn't supposed to at all and now she's got energy, once again unable to sleep.
