Confrontation
The girls were in the middle of a photo shoot when two of them mysteriously vanished. Although, for a while, the crew and producers were unconcerned because they were focused on their duties.
Jinsoul and Hyejoo were already finished with their shoots, so the staffs allowed the completed ones do whatever they wanted for the time being.
"So, why did you bring me here? This could be construed as suspicious." As Hyejoo and Jinsoul led themselves to the changing room, Jinsoul's expression screamed bewilderment.
Hyejoo laughed, "As if they'll be suspicious about us two. They're well aware of how much we hate each other," she said, as she strolled around the little room.
Jinsoul shook her head at the younger female. "Well, don't get me wrong: I don't despise you in the least. You're the only one who has a long-standing hatred against me."
Hyejoo, brought back from her musing, jerked her head toward Jinsoul. "Of course, you don't hate me because Hyeri chose you over me and now you feel so full of yourself."
Jinsoul's eyes jabbed into the younger's. "H-how did you know about that?"
Hyejoo laid a comforting hand on Jinsoul's arm, "Everyone in the dorm already knows about your relationship with Hyeri. You're just too dumb to notice things."
Rage contained behind clenched teeth, Jinsoul's hands became fists as she grabbed Hyejoo's arm.
"Watch your words. Just because you failed our 'little competition' doesn't mean you have the right to be mean or disrespectful at me, you need to understand that."
Hyejoo leaned into the older girl, "I didn't failed. In fact, the competition doesn't even end there yet." The wolf yanked her arm away from the older's grasp as she walked farther from the other.
The response became unnoticed when the older girl heaved a deep sigh. Jinsoul knew to herself that if she kept firing back, the argument would drag on and on.
Jinsoul crossed her arms, "Did you just locked us two in this room to fight? If you are then cut it off, we're in the middle of our schedule."
"Look who's talking," the younger rolled her eyes, "You're the only one thinking that this is a fight; I just wanted to clarify some things up with you."
"Alright then, spill the tea."
"I've been trying to do that ever since we got here but you just can't keep your mouth shut for a while."
Jinsoul didn't replied in order to not let the argument get more heated than it already is. With that reaction from the other girl, Hyejoo began speaking.
"You see, I was the very last person in the dorm to know about your relationship with Hyeri. I feel betrayed and and I know that everyone is, too," she sighed.
Just by thinking about it, she's currently feeling the same emotion she felt when she first found out about the two's relationship.
Let's just say it was mixed feelings. Mainly, anger and disappointment.
Hyejoo was angry that the girls didn't told her sooner, only to find out that they were shocked and confused as well. To be honest, it was not very nice to keep secrets from someone you truly trust.
Okay, let's just add the fact that she was disappointed with Jinsoul for stealing what supposed to be hers.
Hyejoo sat down the nearest chair before continuing her statement when Jinsoul faltered to reply, "You two could've just confront us about it, it's not like we're going to tell the whole world and ruin your relationship. Here we thought we can trust each other, it seems like you don't."
Jinsoul did the same thing as Hyejoo, but sat far apart from her. The older girl appeared to be frustrated and nervous based on her actions.
"I don't know. I simply lack the courage to inform people that I am in a relationship," she paused for a second, "I wanted more time to think about what Hyeri wants to do," Jinsoul admitted.
"Hyeri wanted to inform everyone, but I told her not yet."
Hyejoo had to admit that she was taken aback. She was taken aback by the fact that Hyeri actually followed someone's request to not do what she wanted.
It comes as a complete surprise, given that everyone knows very well that Hyeri will do anything she pleases. Even if it's someone close to her that was refraining her to do things, no one can stop her from doing what she wants.
Hyeri changed and it shows. Still can't say whether she changed for good or the other way around.
Hyejoo once more heaved a big gush of air for the nth time, trying to shrug her thoughts and decided to stick with what they were currently talking about.
"You're scared."
"What?"
The older gave her a strange look. What was there to be scared of? Questions relating to that were running through Jinsoul's mind.
"You're scared of what the others would think of you, afraid that this might ruin things in your life permanently. But you know, if you have trust in Hyeri or one of us then I assure you everything's going to be alright."
There was a minute of silence after Hyejoo said that. She was right tho and that was the reason behind why Jinsoul was speechless for a while.
"How can you be so sure about that?" Jinsoul asked, finally gathering her words that had been caught in her throat.
"Because I've been through it. In my trainee days, most likely. If you want wonderful things to happen in the midst of unpleasant circumstances, you must take the risk and move on," the younger girl explained, giving Jinsoul a warm smile.
"If you keep hesitating, you'll end up in the same situation," Hyejoo explained. "Waiting is fine, but don't take too long. Waiting can also be the source of negative outcomes."
"Why not summon all of your courage, just like what you did the day you confessed to Hyeri? Isn't it similar to the fear you're experiencing right now?"
Jinsoul allowed her mind to wander for a moment because there was so much to process. Why was Hyejoo helping her when it was clear that she was opposed to the notion in the first place?
Shaking her head as well as the thoughts off, her eyes directly looked towards Hyejoo's.
With a brief pause and a second of another deafening silence, Jinsoul chuckled out of nowhere, "Since when are you so good at advicing, miss Son?"
Hyejoo laughed as well, "I got to thank Google for that, I actually got so many insightful remarks from it."
There was an inescapable stillness after the brief laughter session. It was making the already unpleasant atmosphere in the room even more so.
Jinsoul decided to break the ice since she didn't want things to become any worse. It was clear that none of them wanted to be in this predicament.
She almost had Hyejoo recoil in surprise when she said, "Thank you tho." The wolf merely stared at her, as if anticipating what she would say next.
Jinsoul returned the warm smile she gave earlier, "For supporting me with my relationship with Hyeri."
"I don't."
"..."
The two looked at each other with their stoic face. About a minute or so, Jinsoul shook her head then continued.
"Nevermind, I'm still thanking you for making me realize that I should trust what Hyeri wants to do knowing that it would be the best idea we could ever do but I was there to stop her from doing it."
"It's fine, but...I say that you shouldn't refrain Hyeri from doing whatever she wants. I swear, despite being indecisive, she always pick the decision that is best for her," Hyejoo chuckled as the other girl nodded in agreement.
"Noted!" Jinsoul saluted.
The two sat up from their seats and hugged each other tightly, relieved that they have finally fixed things with each other.
"Please tell me we're back in good terms again."
"You could say that but I'm still disappointed at you for stealing my best friend."
On this day forward, through confrontation, she is finally letting go of her feelings for Hyeri.
Well, let's see if she can.
