Another Day in LOONA

"Oh my-what the heck did you do to yourself mister?"

Hyeri gasped, both of her hands covering her mouth that was wide open due to how shocked she was.

She was just about to get her Bruni plushie from her bed when she saw her cat who was painted with, well, a paint. The can of wall paint was knocked over by her study desk, the substance was leaking down to the floor.

The not-so-innocent feline meowed as if it done nothing wrong. Grey walked his way towards Hyeri, affectionately rubbing himself onto the girl's foot.

Of course, Hyeri couldn't help but awe at the sight and forgot the fact that she should be mad with the cat for causing such mess.

I mean, she was touched because all Grey do to her was continuously scratch her and only gives kitty love when it has done something wrong.

It was a rare sight to see although we're not including those 'Grey scratching Hyeri' scenes in this book because we ain't going to ruin the furball's reputation-

"I seriously hate you, but everyone deserves a second chance, right buddy?" Hyeri told as she crouched down to the painted kitten. To inform everyone, Grey has already earned too much 'second chance' from the panda because of how persuasive he look.

Hyeri straight up carried the cat despite knowing that it was covered in paint, who knows if it can be removed easily. Why was there a can of paint in their room anyway?

The panda marched her way to the bathroom, the others looked at her with the same reaction she had earlier, "What happened to Grey, Hyeri-ah?"

Jungeun followed the girl to the bathroom as the others did the same, "The darn cat couldn't stay still, played with the can of paint and bathe himself on it," she explained.

Hyeri halted on her tracks before turning her head towards the older girl, a questioning look visible on her face, "Wait- you saw what happened? And you didn't even planned to stop him from playing with the paint!"

"Hey, Grey gave me a threatening look when I was about to approach him. Now the owner is giving me one, too." Jungeun held her hands up high as if caught red handed while taking one step backwards away from the panda.

Jinsoul skipped her way towards the girl who was currently giving Jungeun a warning look, she lead themselves inside the bathroom as she closed the door shut.

The older girl chuckled, "You're getting grumpier each day, is it puberty?"

"I'm already twenty years old for Pete's sake," Hyeri facepalmed. "Then why?"

Hyeri didn't replied which made Jinsoul burst into another laughter. Making her way behind the slightly shorter girl, giving her a warm back hug, "Maybe you just need some affection. I'll calm you down, cupcake."

"Since when did you call me that?" Hyeri scrunched her nose, cringing because of how Jinsoul adressed her. Maybe it would've come out sweet but Hyeri wasn't used to being called like that. Nevertheless, it never failed to make the panda smile because it's Jinsoul!

"Since then, I can't remember but I'm very sure I called you that before."

Hyeri shrugged her shoulders, "Eh, I think I'll stick with panpan." The older hugged her even tighter, it made her squirm at the sudden action nonetheless laughed. "You're indirectly judging me with the nicknames I give to you," Jinsoul pouted.

"I have to be honest... you suck with this kind of things."

"As if you're better."

They spent some minutes of silence with Jinsoul still back hugging the panda and Hyeri almost falling asleep. "Let's go out later," the older spoke which made Hyeri flinch in surprise.

The younger girl wiggled herself out Jinsoul's grasp before giving her a mocking look, "After what you just said? I think I'll stay in and hang out with my bed for today."

"Well that's sad, I was actually planning to take you in an sight-seeing date but I guess you've already made your own plans."

"Pft, who said I had one already? I don't think anyone did, right Grey?" The panda booped the cat's nose as it meowed once more. "I never lose!"

Jinsoul cheered, flailing her arms around as if celebrating her win. Hyeri immediately frowned at this before playfully smacking Jinsoul by the shoulder, "You have to get out of this bathroom before I kill you here with my own bare hands, I think Grey would even help, too."

The feline, still covered in paint, hissed at Jinsoul as if he understood what Hyeri just said. They share the same mind.

Jinsoul cackled, raising her hands up high just like what Jungeun did earlier when Hyeri gave her a threatening look. "I can't leave, you might slip because of how clumsy you are."

"You don't have to throw that to my face, I know how clumsy I am but seriously...you need to leave or else I'll make you clean Grey yourself. I don't think you'll even get out alive-"

A knock from someone cut off Hyeri's statement as a yell from Yeojin boomed through the door, "WHATEVER YOU TWO ARE DOING IN THERE, PLEASE HURRY UP. IT'S A CODE RED OUT HERE. MOUNT OLIVIA IS GONNA ERUPT- ACK!" And with that, Yeojin was taken away.

The two inside the bathroom stared blankly at the door, listening to Yeojin's screams from the other side.

Jinsoul even hesitated leaving, she would rather clean up Grey than experience the moments of Hyejoo raging, however, Hyeri insisted and literally yeeted the older away from the room.

"Take cover!"

Without even getting the chance to react, Jinsoul was taken down by a pillow thrown by Sooyoung. "You better buy me my gift for tomorrow, you fool."
