The wand is actually one of those ancient artifacts from the sanctum that Wong, for some reason, trusts Stephen to use for emergencies because it has a bit magic. He keeps it hidden because he hates the Harry Potter references. He mostly uses it for cases that would require levitating, since he can't have the cloak around.

  • Wong is also part-time master of the New York sanctum because he's forcing Stephen to be a part-time Sorcerer Supreme in order for the teen to find some sort of magical way to make him of age again.

  •Obviously he spends a lot of time reading, wether it's to escape other people or reality itself, or just to study up on spells.

  • Stephen is very superstitious; besides, it comes with the job.
