Leon shuffled uncomfortably in his burgundy bed, a tissue box next to him and a few cough drops laying around his blankets. A rough cough escaped his lips and he groaned in frustration.

It was a day before his big battle with Raihan and the champion got sick? What shall he do?

That's where Leon's best friend, who happens to work at a Pokémon center, comes into place.

First person pov

After hearing that my friend has gotten sick, I rushed to his room he was staying in while at the Pokémon center. There, the champion sat, a tissue against his red nose.

"Leon! I heard you weren't doing very well. Sheesh, to think the day before such a big event, too..." I pulled a chair by his bed side.

"I can't breathe." Leon grumbled.

"Oh! I got the perfect thing for that." I shoved my hand through my bag of supplies and got out some eucalyptus oil.

I dabbed my finger on the bottle top to get some of the oil on my finger and gently dabbed it under Leon's nose. His face went pink, but I couldn't really tell since he had a small fever.

Leon went to thank me, but all that came out were gross coughs and a sneeze.

I went to the kitchen part of his room and heated up some soup for him. I added a few crackers and gently blew on the soup to cool it down before serving it.

Leon smiled a little and slowly ate the soup, amazed at how good it tasted.

"Homemade soup! My mum taught me how to make it. She would make me some every time I was sick." I grinned.

Leon finished the soup, allowing me to rinse the bowl and set it in the sink to be washed soon.

Leon looked very sleepy. His golden eyes were half open, a stifled yawned leaving his slightly chapped lips.

"You should get some sleep..."

Leon nodded and went to lay down, closing his eyes. Soon, I heard soft snores coming from him.

"I love you, Leon. I just wish I was brave enough to tell you." I sighed.

Leon surprised me by holding my hand.
"...love you too..." He mumbled out.

I grinned and hugged him.
