020 // Ruby's Letter
"Dude, your not a fag are you?" Jerome joked, which his other friends laughed except Jaden. A serious look on his face as he responded to the homophobic comment."No. I'm not." Jaden said.
Jaden was just confused.
That lunchroom scene with his friends replayed in Jaden's head for the rest of the day, he felt off. He felt different. He felt more aware of things.
Instead of going to a party that his friends were throwing, He went home. Doing his school work, then after that just scrolling through Instagram, seeing pictures of his friends at the party. He could see how high they looked and Of course Jerome was cheating on his girlfriend. Which was something Most of his friends did.
Except Jaden, he had stopped messing with girls ever since meeting London. It wasn't as if they were in a relationship or if they were even friends. To Jaden he felt unknown guilt when seeing other girls, he didn't understand it. He was just so lost

London sat in his room, tears falling down his cheeks, he was grieving again, he had been grieving for years, even when his mother's tears had dried and her heart had 'healed'. How his family moved on, forgetting the pain that they were once in. Some days he had wished that he too had gotten over the pain. Yet he didn't.
He had decided to go into her room. He had been in that room for years, no one has. He unlocked the door of his room, walking down the hallways before opening the door quietly to Ruby's room, the room was beautiful just as it had always been. Ruby was a perfectionist, she wanted everything to be perfect and in the right place. So her bedsheets were neatly on her bed, her books that were on her shelves were all in order.
London walked over to her desk, looking at a family photo that was on it. It was when London was still a baby and Ruby was a toddler, His mother was holding him in his arms smiling and Ruby was in His father's arms smiling just as bright. London's eyes filled with happy tears, he smiled softly at it. He literally looked so different next to his family yet he fit in so well on the outside at least.
He looked at another framed family photo on her desk. Except it was just Ruby and London. London was a toddler and Ruby was a child. In the picture they were playing with finger paint, London had another bright smile, his blue eyes so bright and filled with life. Ruby's chocolate orbs sparkled as well.
He looked at a certain book on the desk It was decorated with stickers from bands that he knew Ruby listened too, he knew the book way to well. It was what London used to call her diary but in reality it was just her daily journal to help her deal with personal problems. He slowly went to open it, an envelope fell from it, he caught it just in time before it fell.
He looked at it and his heart almost dropped at the name at the front. "London Rivera" his first and last name on the envelope in her handwriting. His hand shook, he couldn't believe it. He took the envelope and sat down on the floor. And opened it.
His heart was beating fast, he felt as if he couldn't breathe, he stopped for a moment and calmed himself down. Before opening it.
