The wailing and crying of a baby were the only sounds that filled the very top level of Hometree. Mo'at had just given birth to her third baby and had gone through arduous labor for hours on end.

Once the baby was wrapped up and cleaned, she was handed to the Tsahik, as Eytukan, the Leader of the Omaticaya came around and stood behind his wife to look at the new addition to their family. Mo'at saw how the baby Navi stopped crying and curled up and gripped her mother with her small hands for warmth and skin-to-skin contact.

All of a sudden, while the family enjoyed the moment, various seedlings of Eywa spirits started to emerge from the treeline and down towards the baby. Once they landed on the baby's arms, the infant's face seemingly turned more content and at peace as it slept.

At the contact of the seedlings with the baby, small strands of hair that the baby had started to glow dimly in a white and silver light. It wasn't a strong glow, but this left the family completely speechless at the sight.

There were about 4 or 5 seedlings in total, floating around and after a few seconds, they dispersed and left from where they came from, leaving the family speechless. Neytiri and Sylwanin had both come into the room and were able to witness such a beautiful moment.

While cradling her in a motherly embrace, Mo'at eyed the small baby with a smile before finally saying; "Eywa has blessed us with her. The spirits must be telling us that she is meant to be with us. From now on, we will take care of her and raise her to be our future protector. I have a feeling Eywa wants her to lead us all to victory and to protect the people from any harm that comes our way" Mo'at stated, making the two girls excited, knowing they now have a new little sister that they can love and cherish.

Eytukan, stood behind his wife, smiling warmly at the new addition to their family that will surely bring peace to their people. He already started to think about the things he wanted to teach her, just like he's taught her two daughters that are too much like their parents for their good.

"Her name will be...Y/n" Mo'at stated, while the baby reached up with her small arms and tugged gently on one of her braids with a cute smile adorning her face, along with a small coo.

"That's a beautiful name, Mother," Neytiri said with a smile, earning a nod in agreement from her older sister. And with that, a new addition to the family was brought and welcomed with open arms by the rest of the clan.

A ceremony was held to pronounce that Y/n was officially a part of the clan, as the daughter of Mo'at and Eytukan, as well as being proclaimed the Princess of the Omaticaya.

Years passed and Y/n grew more beautiful, unique, special, and loved by the people with each passing day. She adorned a gorgeous blue skin tone and amber eyes, along with glowing dots all over her body just like all Na'vi people.

Unlike everyone else, what made her stand out the most was the fact that whenever it became nighttime, some strands of her hair began to dimly glow in a silver and white tone, similar to the way forests in Pandora glow with bioluminescence and display their beauty.

At first, it was a marvelous thing about her that she had such a unique quality, but the family later found out it was also very intriguing in a bigger way than they could've imagined. While it was a beautiful thing that her hair responded to Eywa's spirits and soul, especially at night, her hair also felt whenever harm came to any of the fauna, flora, or her connection to Eywa, Y/n received headaches when the glow intensified.

This only got worse when the RDA, The Resources Development Administration, a company from Earth set up their base on Pandora to extract resources from their planet, which deeply hurt the young girl, both physically and mentally.

As the RDA became more relentless with the extraction of their home planet, such as destroying trees and creating their massive bases, annihilating vital wildlife, not only did it harm their habitat, but the Na'vi people as well. The Omaticaya shared a deep connection with the forest that was part of their lives from even before they are born. Destroying it would be like taking away a part of themselves that is vital to them.

Mo'at deduced that this was happening to her daughter because most of the strands that lit up were deeply connected to her neurological system and to her consciousness too, which meant that she was even more connected to Eywa even more than initially believed when she was born.

Mo'at decided that the next successor to be a Tsahik was going to be Y/n, given that she was the closest connection to their deity the Omaticaya have recently encountered. So, she began preparing her daughter for the necessary duties a princess needs to fulfill, as well as training to become a Tsahik and being able to interpret the will of Eywa.

Being the loving girl that she is, at the age of 8, Y/n began to find her more adventurous side and learned to love the world she was born into, She felt deeply connected to all of her surroundings, in a way that she had never felt before, which is a feeling that started to surface when she started to grow up.

Even while being taught the overwhelming basics of being the Princess of the Omaticaya and preparing to be the next Tsahik, she still felt that something was missing in her life. She and the Omaticaya became worried about the Sky People, which were those who were inflicting harm on their home. Up until the age of 10, the Na'vi and the Sky People remained separate, that was until tensions began to rise between the two groups immensely, making it difficult to find peace and to live together in harmony.

When Y/n was 12, she, Neytiri, and Sylwanin met Grace Augustine, a scientist working with the RDA. The red-headed woman met Y/n when the small girl and her sisters were wandering outside the village and hid in the trees to see what the Sky People were doing on the border of her village and their base.

Grace was collecting samples for her studies when she heard branches creaking from above and looked up to see young blue Na'vi girls. At first, Y/n was scared because she didn't mean to be found and she just wanted to observe, along with her sisters, but Grace insisted that she meant no harm to the small girls in any way. "It's okay! Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you" She said with a warm and kind smile, putting their minds at ease.

Given that there were many soldiers nearby with guns, Grace told the girls, in a broken but developed Na'vi accent, to be quiet and to go back where they came from, to which they all complied immediately out of fear.

After she left and Grace sighed in relief, Parker came out of the bushes with a rant about how he was tired of not seeing results towards extracting unobtanium, and that the 'savages' were making it impossible for the RDA. Grace rolled her eyes at this, not wanting to put up with this for days on end, but she knew the people she worked with happened to be incredibly small-minded when it came to this.

After getting back to Hometree, Y/n told her mother and father what she saw and that unknowingly to Grace, Eywa spirits were everywhere in the place she had the conversation with the scientist.

The young girl insisted it was a sign from Eywa that this was the chance they were looking for to make amends with the Sky People. Y/n felt certain that Grace was not a threat and that she would be able to bring good to their clan.

Eytukan looked at her daughter doubtfully and lowered himself to her height with a hand on her shoulder. "Y/n, are you sure of this? You shouldn't have been so close to the border in the first place, you could've been harmed by the Sky People" He said worriedly, making the girl lower her head down in shame, but answered anyway.

"Yes, I'm sure. She was a sweet woman who protected me from being seen by the men with guns. I can sense that it is good in her and we cannot ignore it. I'm sure that it is what Eywa is trying to tell us" Y/n said, very clearly and sure of herself.

Her parents glanced at each other and Mo'at gave her husband and knowing nod, having a feeling that her daughter was on the right path with what she was saying about this woman.

Eventually, Y/n, Neytiri, and Sylwanin were welcoming Grace into their village in no time in her Na'vi form, who looked very similar to her human persona, and eventually opened up a school for the Omaticaya youth.

The redheaded woman loved to teach the young Na'vi children and was kind to all of them, willing to help them learn English and other subjects. Grace was very grateful for the three sisters who welcomed her to their tribe with open arms with the hopes of learning the ways of the Sky People.

The Na'vi children were very smart and were able to pick up the language very quickly, making Grace feel very proud of the change she was providing for them.

Even with all of these good opportunities opening up in hopes of a path towards peace between humans and the Sky People, the RDA continued to destroy their land, leaving the Omaticaya disheartened at the actions of those they wanted to learn from.

Now that Y/n was coming of age, it was announced that she was to be betrothed to Tsu'Tey. She wasn't very happy about it for many reasons. Tsu'Tey is her friend and she doesn't think of him that way.

Arranged marriage is something Y/n was very much against, mostly because she wanted real love and not somebody who was chosen for her. Tsu'Tey has many admirable qualities, sure, but he's not exactly who she wants.

Eventually, Y/n turned 17 and the teachings at Grace's school were going even better than expected. The redhead scientist was able to switch from English to Na'vi much more fluently now that it had been several years since she had been accepted into the clan.

Neytiri and Y/n still attended the school along with the other kids who were enrolled as well. Sylwanin was very upset at the damage the RDA was causing to their environment, so she eventually stopped showing up to fight with other warriors against such injustices.

Due to the destruction, it was truly hard to see so many of the Omaticaya people injured that were far beyond repair and the damage to Pandora only seemed to become more harsh and violent every day.

During the day, just as peace was starting to be carried out through the majority of the day, it was taken away in an instant. The class was disrupted by Sylwanin and many other warriors coming through the door, closing it shut and leaning against it with a distressed look on their faces.

Her panic was contagious, because not only did Y/n, Neytiri, and Grace start to feel anxious, the children began to feel like something bad was about to happen. "Sylwanin, what is going on?" Y/n asked anxiously and quickly, stepping up to her and holding an arm out to protect the children, who were starting to let their fear show more and more.

Y/n could feel a barrage of footsteps and the destruction of the path up to the school start to intensify. She and Neytiri looked at her sister, who begged her siblings to stay back and find refuge. "Why? What happened?" Neytiri asked, starting to round up the children, feeling imminent danger start to approach. Sylwanin explained how they set various RDA machines on fire as a warning, given that they were tearing their way towards Hometree, so now the warriors were being persecuted and soldiers with guns were on their way to the school. After hearing this, Grace, Y/n, and Neytiri gasped in shock at what happened.

"Sylwanin! You could've gotten yourself killed! We need to get the children out of here" Y/n said, as she started to help Neytiri round up the kids to the corner of the room where they hoped the bullets won't reach them.

Just as it seemed that the coast was clear, Sylwanin moved from the door and started walking towards her sisters, only for a barrage of bullets to rain down and onto their sibling. Neytiri and Y/n gasped and screamed in horror seeing their sister fall on the floor limp and lifeless. Unconscious. Unresponsive.

Grace rounded up as many kids as she could trying to get them out, while Neytiri and Y/n crawled over to their sister and grieved in sorrow and anguish for their fallen sister. The rain of bullets had stopped, but the damage was already done. Some kids weren't able to make it out and were caught in the line of fire. Tsu'Tey survived, unlike most of his warrior comrades who did not.

He helped Neytiri and Y/n out the door and followed Grace back to Hometree, and for safety, while both sisters wailed and sobbed in agony, leaving the body of their sister behind. Many lives were lost, left behind, and mourned, including the warriors, the children who didn't make it out, and Sylwanin.

From that day on, the war had started, as inevitable as it was. Sky People were no longer allowed to contact the Navi and if anybody was caught doing exactly that, they would be executed where they stood.

Unfortunately, due to the tragedy and Grace not being able to return, the school was closed for good, and children were not allowed to return to it under any circumstances. Y/n and Neytiri missed Grace very much, seeing as they had spent so much time together and she had taught the sisters so much.

Y/n herself did have ongoing hate for the Sky People for killing her sister, but she did not want to lose hope that there were good humans out there like Grace that would change the future of Pandora. The next couple of years were not any better. Two years later and the Sky People had already destroyed a good portion of the wildlife, forests, and everything precious to the Na'vi. She saw fire crumble and burn the home she grew up in, and all for human greed.
