You and Ranpo work at the ADA and he's been working a lot to make you praise him because he's recently realized you've never praised him before. Ranpo likes eating snacks with you and tries to get you to do stupid things, he acts like a child even though he's not. 

Ranpo ran up to you with a childish smile "I just solved a really difficult mystery, but it was nothing to me!" He bragged, but you were too busy typing away on an important job to notice the boy in front of you.

"Uh, Y/N?"

"Huh? Oh, hey Ranpo. What's up." You looked up briefly from your computer.

"I was telling you that I solved an important case! But I guess you don't care." Ranpo crossed his arms and sulked.

"Oh, sorry, Ranpo. I'm on an important case too! How'd yours go?" A slight tinge of guilt crossed you but you were used to his childish ways. Ranpo immediately brightened up when you said you were also on an important case.

"I solved a murder! Even though I already knew who did it and I didn't have that many details, it was still hard." He smiled proudly.

"Nice!" Ranpo frowned at the lackluster response.

"Wow, that's it?!" Ranpo's face fell, he had expected a little more enthusiasm from you. He tried to get your attention again "Are you even listening to me?" Ranpo asked with a pout. 

"Yeah, yeah sorry, just give me a moment!" You tried to finish faster but Ranpo had already left. He was used to your hard-working persona but he wished you would compliment him like everyone else in the Agency.

That night, whilst you working overtime, Ranpo suddenly appeared behind you. 

"I brought a gift!" Ranpo handed you a present without waiting for a response, the gift was a bag of your favorite snacks.

"Now come with me, I have a surprise to show you!" He said happily, dragging you along. You were surprised by his actions but quickly agreed. The rooms were empty, everyone had left for the night and there was only the moon to light your way.

"So, guess what, Y/N?" Ranpo grinned, acting childishly excited as he brought you to his office.

"What!?"

"I made this drawing of you!" He was pointing to a very well-drawn picture of you on a piece of paper on his desk, it was very detailed and he made you look beautiful. He smiled widely, waiting for your reaction.

"Wow! I didn't know you could draw!" You smiled at him. then, the words he longed to hear came from your mouth. "Thanks Ranpo~!"

Ranpo's face broke into a huge smile and he looked incredibly satisfied, he had finally been praised by you. "You're welcome~" *He spoke in a sweet tone, before latching on to you in a giant hug. You stayed in the hug for a long while before pulling away. 

"Are you happy?" Ranpo asked you, holding your hand while keeping his head on your shoulder. He looked at you cutely with bright eyes.

"I am. You're very sweet Ranpo." He seemed very happy with your response.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"What's up?"

"Can we hang out more? You know, not just work, but after work too. I just realized I've never got to really get to know you." Ranpo asked with a pleading expression.

You smiled at him and quickly nodded, how could you resist such a face? "Course~"

Ranpo's face broke into a huge smile and he clapped his hands together and laughed cheerfully "YAYYY~!" That night you both stayed in the agency for a few hours after work, having a little party for two and talking, having fun, and goofing around. 

Now you can say you really got to know each other.
