You chuckle cynically. Of course, you are starting to get weird out by how accomodating『beauty<3』is towards you. After all, imagine yourself playing a similar game to Grand Theft Auto, and then you saw a pretty car drive past you, driven by greed, you decided to steal that car, and so you ran to that car, beat the shit out of the NPC that drove the car, and then get inside it and drove away, acting as if that car is now yours. And then, out of nowhere, another player stops you, telling you that stealing is wrong and that you should give that car back to the NPC or else they would report you to the developers so that you would get banned.

Surely, anyone would think that the player is annoying with their holier-than-thou acts.

and i overheard that since this game isnt as popular as their other games
they are going to change the genre of this game in the future

At that moment, the sound of water dripping down in the bathroom stops. You look up, putting your phone away to see Hayun walking out with hair dripping wet. A bathrobe wraps loosely around his muscular body and you inhale at how perfect this man is. Visually only though.

Your cheeks flush red, turning away to avoid looking at his exposed chest.

Oh, the amount of willpower you have to stop yourself from pouncing on him like a wolf in heat.

"You can go take a bath."

"Hmm."

Needless to say, you end up taking a cold shower instead.

You walk out of the bathroom with clothes on. Unexpectedly, Hayun is sitting on his bed, still wearing that bathrobe with hair still dripping wet. His eyes are staring expectantly at you.

You are like a deer caught in headlights.

"Why aren't you fully dressed yet?" You ask after a moment of silence. "Aren't we going out today?"

"You see, I don't know what to wear," he pretentiously sighs. "So I thought for a while, why don't I let you choose my outfit?"

"Me?" You sputter.

Hayun smiles in response, liking the way you're pretending to be calm only to fail miserably. You end up relenting to his suggestion, walking to his wardrobe to grab a white cotton summer short sleeve from it. As for the pants, you just grab whatever you see would fit. It can't be helped since you have no sense of fashion regarding men's clothing.

You bring the clothes you chose to the man, expecting him to wear them by himself only to realize that he wants you to put them on him. You take a deep breath, putting the clothes aside as you decide to stall time by drying his hair first with a towel.

Hayun is silent until he eventually rests his forehead against your stomach. You force down the squeal you've been holding down your throat. It takes so much willpower not to hug him so tight that you hope he would suffocate, but you have to be patient, lest who knows what will happen to his love meter if you were to do that.

After his hair is dry, you ask him to get up to which he complies. You untie the bathrobe. Your eyes focus on his smiling face as you do your work.

ーYou're lucky that he's already wearing his underwear or else Hayun might get defiled by you today.

You're now ready to go on that date.

Since the two of you are living in a school, it's natural to inform the warden when the students want to go out, especially during school hours. You aren't worried though, mainly because you know that players have special privileges in this game.

As expected, just a few words, and you've already got the permission to leave.

"So, where do you want to go on our first date?"

"I'm thinking about going on a hike," he answers.

"Hiking?" You have never done that before.

"I've always wanted to know how it feels to push a person down the cliff," he smiles.

So the two of you went on a hike, though it can't really be called that since Hayun wants the easiest way to get up there so you ended up teleporting him by holding him and clicking the link on your phone. You sit on the big rock, looking at the scenery.

"Isn't it beautiful?"

Hayun looks visibly confused. "Which part is?"

"Uh, the sky? The birds? The sun? The nature?"

"Didn't we see them all the time at school?"

"... So does that mean you want to go on another mountain?"

"That would be too much of a hassle," he shakes his head, taking a seat beside you.

You glance at your man's indifferent expression. Even though this is your first date with him, Hayun doesn't seem to enjoy it, not a single love meter rises. You sigh, get up, and walk yourself to the edge of the cliff.

"Come on, Hayun. Push me down."

The said NPC looks taken aback before shaking his head. "It's no use. I won't feel any pleasure from pushing you off anyway."

Because you don't love me enough to do that? You pout before going back to his side. You touch his hand, playing with his slender fingers out of boredom.

"Sweetheart," Hayun says. "Be honest, what exactly do you like about me?"

You pretend to think about it. "If it's honesty you want then I would say it's your face?"

He looks amused. "Then if I were to disfigure my face, would you still love me?"

"Not a chance," you grin. "I will do all I can to restore your face back!"

"You really do love my face, huh?" He chuckles. "(Y/n), do you want to know a secret?"

You tilt your head in curiosity.

"There is also a hierarchy in NPCs. We are divided by levels, and a high-level NPC like me can see something that low-level NPC can't see," he whispers. "Such as your zero percent love meter for me."

His digits caress your throat gently.

"You never see me as me don't you, (Y/n)?" He smiles, his eyes growing dim. "You don't love me. You only love the person you see in me."

You blink in surprise, taken aback by the information.

So... all these times, Hayー high-level NPCs can see the players' affection towards them?

"Why are you telling me this?"

The male NPC strokes the skin of your neck with his thumb.

"I just want you to know that I don't mind being a substitute," he says. "But just know that once you make me whoever that person's substitute, you have to take responsibility for your action and listen to me."

That's all? "All right, I will listen to you."

"Good," he withdraws his hand. "Now let's talk about your previous lovers. Helios and Essen, is it?"

Your heart beats in amazement at their names coming out of Hayun's lips. Truly, where did he get his information from?

Is there exist some kind of yandere organization that spying on their players or something in this game?

"First of all, yes, I have something to do with Helios but not Essen. Second, we broke up already. Third, how do you know about this?" You furrow your eyebrows

Hayun smiles.

"Essen messages me last night after you logged out, telling me that he wanted to meet me."
