2 DAYS LATER
"That train ride was soo boring."
"You got into a fight, Giselle." Aito said, jumping onto the birch platform; his new tar black robes fluttering behind him.
"Yeah, well; that punk was being a jerk!" The group chuckled in sync, which was a little frightening Giselle must admit.
She tended to be feisty when others messed with them, and the other five found her firecracker-like nature rather funny; in a good way.
In this case it was a tall male blond that seemed to be the same age as them, adorning bright emerald robes and a condescending smirk. He ordered the six to 'remove themselves from the compartment', which Giselle didn't take too well.
"Well I for one thought that he was pretty good looking..." Aito chirped, Mez and Theodore gasping.
"He speaks!"
"That's like the second time you've spoken after getting onto the train!"
"I was thinking about waffles, alright!"
Isadora sighed, hopping off the train and onto the platform; joining her chatting friends.
"If you get detention for being noisy or troublesome, I'm not going to bail you out."
"Knowing them they're just going to bail themselves out Isa." Alex said, turning to face a black robed woman who was striding towards them, her long blond hair cascading down her back and a solemn look planted on her face.
"Ahh yes, just the students I was looking for. Good-afternoon and welcome to Hogwarts, my name is Professor Harlahan. I'm here to inform you six that you are to follow the first years into the great hall entrance, as you need still to be sorted. That is all."
The group waited until the dreary seeming professor was out of earshot before speaking.
"She's gloomy." Isadora stated, turning on the heel of her polished shoe.
"You can say that again."
"Who are you?" Mez questioned the brown haired boy who had just appeared.
"McEntoche, Mica McEntoche. Hufflepuff and fifth year. You are?"
"You're future husban-"
"Nunya, Nunya bizness." Alex replied seriously, his features breaking into small grin as Mez playfully kicked his shin gently for cutting him off.
"We'll explain later Micah, but for now; It's time to split."
"Why?"
Aito motioned towards the students, a majority of them having already boarded the small wooden boats.
"Ahh, I see. Well, catch you guys later then!" The group waved the boy goodbye as he hopped towards a female and greeting her with a cheerful 'Hey Willow!'.
-
"Good afternoon all! To those that are returning, welcome back; and to those newly joining us, welcome!" A frail male that seemed like he could be swept away by a small breeze spoke, his whispy beard shorter than his pearly hair.
"Before be proceed with the regular sorting, I would like to introduce six new students that have transferred from Durmstrang; they shall be sorted into their house groups first."
Upon being mentioned, the six rebellious teens grinned widely from the entrance great mahogany doors.
"Mez Andrews!" He called out, the platinum blond boy already walking towards the worn stool.
The other five watched, intruigued by the near-silent sorting process (aside from the comment 'You'd make a great Gryffindor with that nature of yours'); cheering loudly as the worn garment called out Slytherin.
The rest followed like this.
"Isadora Hastings!"
"I see, with that brain of yours...better be RAVENCLAW!"
"Aito Hiroshi!"
"Waffles? I'm not a kitchen, you'll make a great HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Theodore Lockwood!"
"Brave and unafraid to stand up for others.... GRYFFINDOR!"
"Alexander Lynsky!"
"A hard worker, and snarky..you'll be better off in SLYTHERIN!"
"Giselle Montgomery!"
"-GRIFFLEPUFF! I mean- HUFFLEPUFF!"
The six had all strided towards their respective, cheering tables.
Mez and Alex walked towards the Slytherin table, which was decorated in cloths, banners and cutlery of rich greens and shining silver.
Aito and Giselle seated themselves at the Hufflepuff table, the house theme warm canary hues and oil black.
Isadora went to Ravelclaw's table (house colours deep blue and silver), and finally Theo; the teen already socialising with his fellow Gryffindors, the table littered with brilliant oranges and crimsons.
By the time the rest of the sorting ceremony had completed, and the desserts had vanished into this air; the group had already befriended many other students, instantly earning their trust; even with their facades on.
Just as each house was to be led by their prefects to their common rooms and dorms, the six discreetly slipped away; meeting each-other one last time for that night.
"We'll chat properly tomorrow, but need to decide on a time and place to meet." Mez said, keeping an eagle eye on his house through his peripheral vision.
"How about early morning, at five." Isadora suggested.
"Back here at the great hall, no one will be here." Alex filled in, everyone agreeing with the time and place with a final desicive nod.
They all whispered their goodnights, seperating and sliding back to their leaving house groups.
After a few moments, Theodore suddenly exclaimed; frightening the life out of some of the first years that were at the back of the group with him.
"Shoot, I have to get up early!"
