"This is a stupid idea, Soobin."

"You are just jealous."

"Am not."

Soobin throws the peas in the pond. He watches as two of the ducks go for the same pea and quarrel and flail their wings. "So, basically, you have a problem with Kai coming with me to the trip but you deny coming as well?"

Taehyun crosses his arms. "Have you seen Kai? He looks like a walking Eiffel tower."

Soobin shrugs. "We'd look great together, then. I am tall, he is tall; we would surely look like a couple."

"Yeah, Burj Khalifa's husband, Eiffel Tower."

"You are stupid."

The blond groans, kicks at Soobin's ankle hard enough to unbalance him just a little and throws the nastiest glare he can conjure. "You are the densest dumbass I've ever met, and believe me when I say I've met a lot of them."

Soobin rubs at his ankle. "You love me."

"Dream on."

"Sure."

"Shut up."

"Just admit it."

"Shall I kick you again, kind sir?"

They break into laughter. The ducks resolve their fight as well. Soobin turns to gaze over at them, throwing the rest of the peas he had. "Come to the trip."

Taehyun sits on the grass, looking at the rippling waters. He remains silent for a while. Then he smiles. "I'll ask mom."

Soobin snaps his eyes to him. "For real?"

"For real."

"Are you sure?"

Taehyun laughs. "I am not repeating myself."

The ducks swim to each other, quacking in their own language. Soobin goes in for a hug with Taehyun. It's warm.

They sit there for a while, silently enjoying the weather. It is somewhat cold, cold enough for a March morning. There is a soft wind blowing. Taehyun loves it.

"I think I like you."

"Think? You think like me?"

"Yeah."

Taehyun narrows his eyes at Soobin. "I should reconsider going to the trip-"

"Yeah okay, I am deeply and madly in love with you. My heart aches whenever you are not around, you are the butter to my bread-"

"Ew, stop. You are disgusting."

Soobin makes a face. "What? It's just bread butter."

"No. You are being cheesy. That's disgusting."

"You are such an anti-romantic."

"Sorry I'm an anti-romantic, I guess?"

"You are not really sorry about that."

Taehyun smiles. "I love you."

"What? Didn't catch that what was it?"

"Choi Soobin, you little shit." Taehyun really does love him a lot.

The ducks swim away together.
