After proving that Nezuko would not hurt or eat humans, Kagaya begins to proceed with the pillar meeting. However, Tanjiro, who was being carried by two other mizunoto immediately cut him off.

"Okay..The pillar meeting will.."

"Please wait!" He exclaimed, as he held onto a column. "I want to butt heads with that scarred guy! I mean it!"

"Shut up! Shut up!" The two other mizunoto dragging him were mortified that he dare interrupt Oyakata-sama from talking let alone the pillar meeting but Tanjiro wouldn't have it.

"Just for cutting Nezuko! I mean it!"

"Tch.. I shouldn't be going against the rules but.." A slender hand stealthily grabbed a rock.

"Rip his fingers off now!"

Bam!

A small pebble struck Tanjiro across the face, effectively shutting him up.

Muichiro, the Mist Pillar, bounced another pebble in his hand. "Interrupting Oyakata-sama is a bad idea." He said menacingly.

The two mizunoto immediately grabbed onto Tanjiro and apologized profusely.

"Hurry up and leave." Muichiro said.

"Ah..a..ah..!! No, wait!"

"Hey, you shut up now!"

"This guy is insane!"

But Tanjiro still spoke. "I'm not sure if this is supposed to help but Muzan Kibutsuji is looking for someone! "  Tanjiro exclaimed aloud once more as he was being dragged away.

Suddenly, all eyes were upon him and the two mizunoto behind Tanjiro started to sweat nervously.

'They're really angry now!!!'

"Oyakata-sama's eyes are a pale lavender and it reminded me just now of how I met that guy! He's looking for a woman named Mimi with black hair and eyes like Oyakata-sama!"

"Mimi?" Kagaya whispered.

'Muzan Kibutsuji!' Tanjiro's mind produced this name the instant he saw those red eyes and black curly hair.

The expression of the man was hostile at first until he turned around to reveal that he wasn't alone. His cold and indifferent expression was suddenly replaced by a warm smile.

"Are you looking for someone?"

'This guy!' Tanjiro thought as he glared at the ravenette who was holding a child in his arms.

"Daddy, who's that?"

Tanjiro was unable to answer as the innocent eyes of the child looked at him.

Muzan smiled, mimicking a regular person's smile flawlessly. "Young man, I'm also looking for someone. A pale woman with black hair and pale lavender eyes. Her name is Mimi. Have you seen her, young man?"

Tanjiro breathed heavily, eyes wide with anger as his body shook. If he wasn't so focused at this man, he would have probably ignored the question. And yet this guy..

'He's a demon but what he's doing is..!'

When a woman wearing a dress appeared and asked what was wrong, Tanjiro couldn't help but be surprised.

'He's a demon but he's acting as a human! He's blending in! And these two don't even know! Everyone around me doesn't know!'

"You're too quiet. So I'm assuming you don't know." Muzan said.

"Ah. What did you ask the young man, dear?" Rei asked.

"It's nothing. He got the wrong person." Tanjiro watched as Muzan stealthily clawed a man's neck. In mere seconds, the man was convulsing and turning into a demon.

Tanjiro felt even more hatred towards Muzan but he made the decision to help the woman being attacked by his now demon husband. Muzan was able to escape him.

"Damn it!"

'Muzan Kibutsuji! I'll find you!'

"So annoying." Muichiro mumbled.

"I'm telling the truth!" Tanjiro shouted.

"Shut up! Shut up!"

The two mizunoto with him was on the verge of crying. The pillars were giving off a hostile aura and even Oyakata-sama's expression was very serious.

"Muzan is really looking for that woman! "Tanjiro could never forget the flash of disappointment and anger on Muzan's eyes when it seemed that Tanjiro didn't know about the woman's whereabouts.

For a second, Tanjiro felt as if Muzan was going to lose it and kill everyone around. His sudden smile chilled him.

In the Butterfly Estate, Tanjiro met Kanao Tsuyuri and happily reunited with Zenitsu and Inosuke who were both bedridden.

Zenitsu's still annoying and Inosuke's pride is still damaged from the fight with the Spider Family. Nezuko is sleeping. Everything is right in the world.

The four of them respectively went into a period of rest in the Butterfly Estate.

Nezuko was completely asleep.

"Zzzzz..."

Tanjiro's enduring his body pain.

"Ugh..."

Zenitsu's being a complete bother on his own.

"Did I drink it?! Did I drink my afternoon medicine?! Did someone saw me drink it?! SOMEBODY?!"

Inosuke's completely depressed.

"Sorry. I'm weak."

And he got encouragement from both sides.

"Come on, Inosuke! Come on! You did your best!"

"You were amazing!"

That was everyday life.

Visitors came, too.

"Murata-san!!!"

Tanjiro listened to Murata grumble about the pillar meeting he was asked to attend because he needed to report what transpired at Mount Natagumo.

"It was hell.."

"Those pillars are way too scary."

"The atmosphere was so intense and they keep yapping about the fact that the quality of the soldiers these days have taken a nosedive. "

"Hello there!" Murata ended up leaving as soon as a smiling Shinobu entered the room. He was so terrified that he barely bid Tanjiro goodbye.

"How are your bodies doing?"

"It's getting better."

"Right!"

"...."

"Then it's time for functional training!" The three of them didn't know what functional training she was talking about. Naturally, Zenitsu was excluded because of his short limbs and ongoing treatment while Tanjiro and Inosuke came back looking like the dead everyday.

"Hey, what happened!" Zenitsu asked.

But Tanjiro merely went to bed and said 'sorry'. His short answer instantly terrified Zenitsu who was starting late tomorrow after finally recovering.

It was the next day in the training room when the three of them began their functional training with high spirits, minus being scolded by a perverted Zenitsu who was highly motivated because of his wicked intentions.
