C34: ☆Pillar Meeting☆
Two updates because it's been a week. I was too frustrated on how I was going to write Nao's diary and the Pillar's meeting but well, I somehow managed.
Ooh, you have no idea how excited I was to post this. I have so many things I want to say but I'll just leave it all for you guys to judge this chapter.
:> Enjoy☆

Nao's diary was very thin if one were to look at it but the words inside the pages, the messages and feelings that were written in ink were overflowing with emotions.
And Kagaya couldn't help but read them over and over again, just to see, where he could have possibly gone wrong, just to realize if his actions could have been justified. Just to find a single clue to what could have happened to Nao all those years they were apart and he knows it's wrong to invade someone's diary but this was Nao's diary..
It was a step closer towards her and he just couldn't not open and not read it.
And to think that Nao's diary was this powerful, her most private thoughts that were suddenly revealed to him, as if he was actually seeing Nao, as if, she was here telling him all of this because all these time....
All these years, Nao has only ever thought of him every passing day and he hasn't even read the whole diary yet, only a handful of pages.
But they were enough to make him lean over and cough violently as his eyes squinted, his chest tightening uncontrollably as his eyes blurred so abruptly he barely had time to realize his own emotions at the moment.
He shook his head and willed his body to calm down because this, this was something he needed to do, something he needed to discover for himself while his eyes can still see.
This was a step closer towards Nao.
So he patiently read all the pages with a blank disposition, memorizing the lines over and over in his head as he familiarized himself with Nao's very elegant and sophisticated handwriting that was unique only to her.
And Kagaya doesn't even want to linger at the pages were the words, the ink were smudge as if they got wet by something. He really didn't want to linger on those pages because then they would make the words inside them more real and more powerful.
Yet stupidly, his fingers would trace the smudges and linger for minutes. He would pause reading just to look at those particular smudged letters. Then a beat or so, or what seemed like minutes but hours, he would turn the next page, still reluctant and read on.
The process would repeat itself.
And after reading everything, he did not have the strength to close it yet and set it aside.
It seemed as if Nao was there, infront of him, and just as if to hurt himself more, he would close his eyes and pretend that Nao was really there, telling him all of this as if she was never gone.
'Kagaya-onii-sama, you know..'
Amane's stern cough would wake him up and bring him back to reality. She would look at him, and in a way that she knows best, would frown and give Kagaya a meaningful look that conveyed everything that needed to be said without opening her mouth.
A sad and bitter smile would cross his face and he would reluctantly part with the diary but not before lingering on the last page for one last time before finally resting and succumbing to sleep.
'Kagaya-onii-sama, I don't feel so alone anymore. You see, I met this person and I feel as if I've known him all my life....
His eyes were the prettiest red that I've ever seen, like pretty rubies.....
I don't think you would approve but with him, I don't feel alone...
With him, I feel like I could trust him and never feel loneliness. With him, I feel like I'm complete.....'

"Thank you for attending this meeting. "Ubuyashiki Kagaya, a man with light skin and black shoulder length hair. He has a curse mark that is slowly killing him that also makes his skin look as if it was rotting, the rot spreading down his face. At the moment, it has barely reached one of his eyes but it will continue to spread as time pass by.
He wears a black kimono with a long white kimono jacket, with a pink and purple mist like pattern that starts around the lower back/waist. His eyes, the color of lavender and his smile that is always tight lipped.
This man is currently the 97th head of the Demon Slayer Corps and the head of the Ubuyashiki family.
"Oyakata-sama." The pillars greeted in unison as they kneeled to one knee and bowed their heads respectfully to their leader.
"Please raise your heads. I have called for this meeting to let you all know something. As you've all been aware by now, it has been a year since my sister, Nao, has disappeared. " Kagaya said, his two younger children beside him, Kiriya and Kuina.
The first his heir and the latter being one of his four daughters.
"If from what I've read in Nao's diary is true then I have strong evidence to suggest that Nao has been taken by Kibutsuji Muzan."
All the Pillars reacted very differently at this.
"Nao-sama's been taken by him?!" Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Pillar said, a flushed expression on her face. 'Is this one of those forbidden love affairs? But no! He's a demon! They're evil!'
"But what reason would there be for Nao-sama to get abducted? She isn't a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.." She wondered.
"Nao-sama... is Oyakata-sama's younger sister." The Rock Pillar said, hands in a praying position. "That is.. enough reason." Gyomei Himejima, he's also the one who saved Nao when she was younger. "Nao-sama's always been fragile... abducting her would have been...easy.."
"So the bastard thinks he can use her to his advantage? Is that it?" Sanemi, the Wind Pillar said, an irritated look on his face. "That pisses me off!"
"Clearly, her connection to Oyakata-sama can be used as a leverage. "The Snake Pillar, Iguro Obanai, chimed, narrowing his mispaired eyes. "He's probably planning to use her as a bargaining chip."
"Kidnapping women is not flamboyant at all! He's really sunken so low." The Sound Pillar, Uzui Tengen, said aloud. "But it's been a year now since she disappeared. "
"I agree! If Kibutsuji Muzan is really planning to use Nao-sama against the Demon Slayer Corps, then why hasn't he made his move yet?" The over the top voice from the Flame Pillar, Rengoku Kyojuro.
"She doesn't know any information about the pillars or the Demon Slayers." The Water Pillar, Tomioka Giyuu mumbled.
"For once, Tomioka-san is right. Nao-sama has been living away from the estate for years with zero information being provided about the organization. "The Insect Pillar, Kochou Shinobu. "Abducting her for information is out of the question and keeping her hostage for such a long time is highly suspicious."
"I don't really... remember much about her.. " The Mist Pillar spoke, Tokito Muichiro, a vacant look on his face. "But Kibutsuji Muzan is always up to no good..."
"The diary please.." Said Kagaya in a soft voice as he turned to his daughter.
"Yes."
Kagaya received the diary and held it gently infront of him. A plain white notebook with the kanji 'life' on the lower right of the front cover.
"This is Nao's diary. A year ago, I received word that she suddenly disappeared without a trace and by the time I received the letter, a few weeks have already passed after her disappearance."
He then opened it to a particular page.
"It took me quite a long time to realize and by then I've long since discouraged everyone from looking for her as there were other grave matters that needs attention. A year has passed and Nao's last entry has always been on my thoughts. This is what was written."
"Kagaya-onii-sama, I don't feel so alone anymore. You see, I met this person and I feel as if I've known him all my life.
He is a tall person with an unnaturally pale skin which can be easily confused as being unhealthy and sickly. He has curly black hair, and sharp, almond-shaped eyes. His pupils are vertical, like cat eyes, and colored plum red.
His eyes were the prettiest red that I've ever seen, like pretty rubies under the moonlight.
And for some reason, that person's nails are painted blue.
I don't think you would approve but with him, I don't feel alone. With him, I feel like I could trust him and never feel loneliness. With him, I feel like I'm complete. And with him, I've made my very first real friend."
After hearing it, the Pillars were silent, Kagaya's face, a mixture of calmness and sadness as he finished reading.
"Pardon me for my rudeness, Oyakata-sama... but what made you say that this person that Nao-sama met is Kibutsuji Muzan himself?" Uzui Tengen bravely asked.
"Don't be rude to Oyakata-sama.." The Mist Pillar murmured.
"I'm merely asking a sound question since we can't just ignore the facts. Any perso--- what's with those faces?" The shinobi asked, wondering why they were suddenly looking at him oddly.
"Oh you were serious.." Muichiro said, the rest of pillars were too bothered to even point out the Shinobi Pillar's ridiculous pun.
"Of course I'm flamboyantly serious!"
"Ah... Even though I have faith in Oyakata-sama's words. I would also like to know the reason why Oyakata-sama believes that this person Nao-sama has met is Kibutsuji Muzan." Gyomei Himejima added.
"That is true.." Shinobu agreed. "There are tons of people with the same features, it could be anyone."
"But plum red eyes that are vertical like a cat's eyes, aren't really common." Iguro pointed.
Kagaya smiled at them before closing the diary gently, careful not to damage it.
"As you might have guessed, it is not easy to believe this at first but I have known Nao my whole life and even though she's been living distantly, I am no stranger to her quirks. I've also been exchanging letters with her for the past years to keep in touch. You see, if you would read her last entry repeatedly, you would realize that Nao never referred to Kibutsuji Muzan as 'this man' or 'that man' but instead, she used 'this person' or that person'. Then there is Nao's description of Muzan's red eyes that shines under the moonlight which could only mean that she's been meeting him during the night. We all know that his only weakness is the sun, so he would never appear during the day. This has led me to believe that Nao has been taken by him since she seems to be aware that he is a demon."
Kagaya paused, looking at them one by one before continuing.
"Nao may or may not be kidnapped by Kibutsuji Muzan but this evidence still points out that her disappearance was caused by a demon. "

A/N: lollll I finished it. This meeting is far from over and you best be ready for the next chapter.
To be honest, the previous chapter and this chapter was actually supposed to be one chapter only but it got too long since I got a little carried away but well, I've divided the first part and given zaddy Kaguya some screen time along with some of Nao's inner thoughts about him, also a background.
Then this is the present time, the Pillar's meeting where everything starts getting tensed.
I think Uzui's a badass, I'm a Narutard so I can't help but love the guy for being a ninja alone. Lol sue me ppl
Don't really want to bully Giyuu accidentally during the meeting but...
Anyway, I hope I did zaddy Kagaya and the Pillars some justice on this. See you on the next chapter.
