He's suppose to kill her. Sam Winchester and his brother Dean tracked down a witch in New Orleans. They heard of many strange sightings, flowers blooming in the blink of an eye. Trees being planted one day, and growing to full size the next.

Veyra is one of the goddess Hecate's daughters and, of course, a witch. She grew up in New Orleans with her adoptive mother, who unfortunately passed two years ago. Her mother knew of her gifts from a young age. She taught her to keep them a secret and to only use them for good.

Sam Winchester, and his brother Dean, begin hunting Veyra. They worry this is only the beginning, that the spells will increase in intensity and eventually be used for evil. But when Sam finally catches her, he realizes she'd never hurt a fly. She has a pure heart and her love is endless.

Veyra was taught to be scared hunters, but to still be kind to them. Most would all kill her as soon as they realized she was a witch, but her mother taught her to have hope. There are merciful hunters. She was at first afraid of Sam and Dean. Doing everything she could to get away from them. She accidentally hurt Sam in their first encounter, she healed him and escaped.

Dean sees her as an immature witch, however Sam tries to drop the case. Dean won't let him, he forces Sam to continue their pursuit of Veyra. Sam doesn't object, he doesn't mind having to see her one more time.
