Pairs of different hands wrapped around Jungkook, asserting force as they tried to pull the raging boy away from a place Rose who was coughing badly feeling her windpipe getting squeezed harshly.

Yoongi firmly pulled Jungkook away and pushed the boy away from the poor beta who was panting heavily.

"JUNGKOOK STOP!" Yoongi yells when he sees Jungkook still struggling in his arms, anger reflecting in his dark charcoal eyes. 

The younger froze when he heard the true blood's loud voice, his body going still as his eyes fell on the burning pale figure of Taehyung on the bed. 

"H-Hyung h-he-" Jungkook tries to say, his voice shaking and legs losing their energy. 

Yoongi sighed and patted the younger's back softly "It's okay, Hold on and don't lose hope. Let me see what i can do." 

And the younger could only nod limply. 

His heart was in shock and body numb, not being able to feel anything as he saw Jimin cry his eyes out holding Taehyung's hands. 

His knees collapsed and Jungkook fell on the floor, finally taking in the situation rationally. His Taehyungie was poisoned with wolfsbane? 

How is that even possible.

The flower to make wolfsbane only blooms once in five hundred years, why would someone take so much trouble just to kill Taehyung?

While Jungkook was lost in deep thought, Yoongi on the other hand was questioning Rose. 

"What do you mean by there is no cure! There should be something we can do." The true blood said looking frustrated, his mate's brother was someone very dear to him.

Rose sighed sadly and said "There is nothing right now that we can do, you of all people should know how harmful wolfsbane is as after all its the only way to kill a trueblood." 

Yoongi nodded, he knew all about the holy poison of the moon goddess. 

Legends said that the moonlight flower was cursed by the moon goddess when she found two mates making love in her scared place covered in moonlight flowers, destroying the purity of her shrine and this enraged the goddess. 

So she cursed the flower to leak extremely harmful poison that can kill even the strongest werewolf slowly, giving unbearable pain to the person who took the poison in as it would go inside the body and starts destroying the organs. 

The werewolf's healing abilities will go numb as soon as the poison enters making it impossible for the person to come back alive. 

But soon wolfsbane started being used for a lot of evil purposes and the moon goddess reduced the curse on the flower by making it leak the poison only once in every five hundred years. 

"There should be something Rose! After all Taehyung is a special Alpha, he was blessed by the moon goddess!" Yoongi said persistently 

"I am not sure but my grandma once said a story of something like this, I don't know if its true but it could work maybe." Rose said musingly

"What was the story about? Did someone get poisoned in the story too?" Yoongi asked hopefully but Rose shook her head and replied

"No. In the story there was an Alpha who was alone through out his entire life as he couldn't find his mate and he knew that his end was near. But one day suddenly a beautiful young girl came into his house asking for shelter and she was none other than his true mate. However he didn't know that as they were both special werewolves who were blessed by the moon goddess and hence the man would be able to only know who is mate was when his mate reached the age 22. On the 22nd birthday of the girl she found out that her mate was the Alpha who had helped her but by the time she reached his home the man had stopped breathing and was dead/" 

"What the fuck Rose! I thought the story would help me, how is this going to help Taehyung." Yoongi said angrily 

Rose rolled her eyes and replied "I was not finished.

The girl was shocked and heartbroken when she found that her long waiting mate was dead. She cried and cried, until there was no tears left to flow on her mate's body. However suddenly she felt her eyes and hands glowing with a warm energy. But she ignored it and wrapped her arms around the man, her wolf howling in pain as she pulled the man closer to inhale his scent one last time. Suddenly she felt two other arms circling her body and snapped her head upwards to see her mate breathing and alive. She couldn-"

"Rose, I really don't have time for fairy tales, this is obviously not true." Yoongi said scoffing 

Rose sighed and said "Atleast listen to the reason why that happened."

"Okay fine. Tell me your imaginary story." Yoongi said giving her displeased look

Rose ignored it and continued "She couldnt believe it, how was that possible? The girl thought but soon understood when her mate explained to her that 'the ability to heal others' was the special blessing given to her by the moon goddess. As she was a special werewolf her special abilities would come out only when she meets her mate and her ability worked automatically when she hugged her mate tightly, bringing him back to life as he had died from a broken heart."

"What is a broken heart? Is that a disease?" Yoongi asks confused 

"Its a syndrome that happens when a werewolf has spend too much time without a mate, It was very dangerous and would kill the werewolf in the end. The girl had healed his syndrome and bright him back to life but I know this can't happen here with Taehyung. So the only option will be to make Taehyung stay alive until his birthday so that his mate can maybe help him."

Yoongi frowned and asked "But you said he might die any moment." 

"Yes he might, but lets not loose hope and keep healing his skin from the outside so that his body will only have to heal what gets damaged on the inside."

"Is that why you were applying the green paste?" Yoongi asks 

Rose nodded "Its a paste made from the stem and petals of the moonlight flower."

"WHAT THE HELL! That wretched thing leaks wolfsbane, why are you applying it paste on taehyung's body?" Yoongi growled

"I said that it leaks poison only once in five hundred years, all the other time its petals produces the best healing medicines." Rose said and Yoongi was surprised at the contrast.

"SO the same thing can kill while at the same time heal?" Jimin who was listening to the entire conversation silently, spoke up 

"Yes." Rose said and laughed mockingly 

"What is so funny?" Jimin asks frowning 

Rose smiled sadly as her eyes fell on a focused Jungkook who was applying the paste all over Taehyung's body carefully, with so much concentration that the alpha hadn't noticed the other people in the room.

"Its funny how nature has a way of showing us the bitter truth." 

"What bitter truth?" Yoongi asks 

Rose looks at Jungkook with a sombre expression as she continued "Even though the moonlight flower produces the best healing medicine continuously in five hundred years but do anyone talk about it? No. Everyone only focuses on it leaking poison once in five hundred years. 

That is how people are nowadays. No matter what good we do, one mistake can make everyone judge and bring your dignity to the bottom. Its funny how you can do hundred nice things for people but they never notice but once you make a mistake. its never forgotten." 

Yoongi and Jimin remained silent as they observed Rose staring at Jungkook with sympathy filled eyes. 

Why did it feel like they were missing something important?
